Speaking of Chimpy and G8

He pulls this stupid stuff too:

The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: “Goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter.”

He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock.

and of course:

The White House apologised for what it called “sloppy work” and said an official had simply lifted the characterisation from the internet without reading it.

Man, I hope the G.O.P. learned their lesson in electing an idiot like him. 🙄

Someone needs to show Bush a Map

Like this: (H/T to Matthew Yglesias)

I mean, how idiotic:

“Amigo! Amigo!” Mr. Bush called out cheerily in Spanish when he spotted the Italian prime minister. “How you doing, Silvio? Good to see you!” Later, the president wondered about his former Russian counterpart, Vladimir V. Putin. “Did Putin come to see you since I saw you?” he asked Mr. Berlusconi. (He had not.)

🙄 and they wonder why we’re not liked in other parts of the world.

On Gramm’s Comments.

Yes, I know about McCain adviser Phil Gramm‘s comments.

Part of me, agrees with him.

However, a larger part of me. The part of me, who has not had a full time job since 2005 and the part of me, that has not had a long time, good paying job since 2000, very highly disagrees with him.

I know, McCain supposedly rebuked him, but it does not remove what he said, especially seeing he still stands by what he said.

I guess when you come from a middle class family and live in a state, that is having a one state recession with 7% unemployment. (and that’s the one’s collecting unemployment.) You tend to look at things a little differently, than if you’re a multi-millionaire from in Connecticut.

Iran’s Photoshop Psyops

It seems that Iran, Not content with trying to piss off the United States of America, not to mention the members of the United Nations, with the Missile test that it performed yesterday. Now it has been discovered that the Iranians actually photo shopped a picture, that was given to Reuters.

What does this mean? Well, for starters, it means that we cannot trust Iranian people, no further than we could throw one of them. It also means that they’re playing a little Psyops game with the rest of the World. Which really means, Iran is already in war mode, either they are convinced that The United States wants to attack them, or that Israel wants to attack them. Either way, that is a dangerous mentality to have, because Iran could attack Israel, because someone at the switch has heartburn or something. (Sort of a simplistic way of putting it, but I think you all know what I mean here…)

Either way, someone in that part of the country, like Qatar, needs to go to Iran and assure them, that we’re not interested in invading that country.

On FISA

There is a great deal of outrage on the left and amongst many Constitutionalists and some Libertarians about this FISA bill being passed.

The way I look at it is, if Obama wins, he will go after those who broke the law.

I think that everyone needs to take a step back and look at the big picture here. If we stop one terrorist from attacking America, it will be worth it. However, I am fully aware of the corruption of this imperialistic Neo-Conservative Presidential Administration.

I take comfort in knowing that if Obama does win, as much as I despise his Politics, I believe there will be prosecutions handed out.

Senator Ted Kennedy returns to the Senate

Senator Ted Kennedy came in for a vote. Video is available Here and Here

Politically it was a brilliant move, to get the bill passed.

Glad to see that Senator Kennedy is doing well.

Even if he is a damn Liberal socialist. 😉 😛 😀

Uh Oh….. Jesse Done stepped in it!

D’oh!

Jesse Jackson just went in stepped into the doo doo…

He basically said he thought Obama was cutting his own (part of the male reproductive organ) off. By giving talks about morals. Yeah, He’d know, considering he had an affair and fathered a child, out of wedlock.

The Video:

Jesse Jackson issued this Statement:

“For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize,” Jackson said in a statement issued to CNN. “My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment.”

“My appeal was for the moral content of his message to not only deal with the personal and moral responsibility of black males, but to deal with the collective moral responsibility of government and the public policy which would be a corrective action for the lack of good choices that often led to their irresponsibility,” Jackson also said.

“That was the context of my private conversation and it does not reflect any disparagement on my part for the historic event in which we are involved or my pride in Senator Barack Obama, who is leading it, whom I have supported by crisscrossing this nation in every level of media and audience from the beginning in absolute terms.”

Uh-huh, you’re just sorry you got caught.

His own son is quite perturbed:

I’m deeply outraged and disappointed in Reverend Jackson’s reckless statements about Senator Barack Obama. His divisive and demeaning comments about the presumptive Democratic nominee — and I believe the next president of the United States — contradict his inspiring and courageous career. Instead of tearing others down, Barack Obama wants to build the country up and bring people together so that we can move forward, together — as one nation. The remarks like those uttered on Fox by Revered Jackson do not advance the campaign’s cause of building a more perfect Union. Revered Jackson is my dad and I’ll always love him. He should know how hard that I’ve worked for the last year and a half as a national co-chair of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. So, I thoroughly reject and repudiate his ugly rhetoric. He should keep hope alive and any personal attacks and insults to himself. – Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL)

Wow…Just Wow…. The jokes just keep writing themselves.

But like Malkin said, It’s always we meanie Conservatives that make the horrible statements about Barry.

(H/T Memeorandum)

T. Boone Pickens does an excellent Op-Ed…

I this is about the best thing I’ve seen in the WSJ in a long while…

My Plan to Escape the Grip of Foreign Oil – WSJ.com

One of the benefits of being around a long time is that you get to know a lot about certain things. I’m 80 years old and I’ve been an oilman for almost 60 years. I’ve drilled more dry holes and also found more oil than just about anyone in the industry. With all my experience, I’ve never been as worried about our energy security as I am now. Like many of us, I ignored what was happening. Now our country faces what I believe is the most serious situation since World War II.

In fact, here’s the video from the Pickens website:

An excellent plan, also, let’s close that Enron Loophole as well. That would really help as well. I think that if we would stop making this issue a Political wedge and more of a matter of personal importance, we could get much more done.

T. Boone Picken’s Website is here.

Let’s just hope the Democrats and Republicans take this issue seriously and not like a Political Wedge.

Man decides to retire rather than honor Jesse Helms

As much of a shock that this might be to some. I think this man has a right to do this.

He quit rather than lower flag for Helms – (newsobserver.com)

L.F. Eason III gave up the only job he’d ever had rather than lower a flag to honor former U.S. Sen. Jesse Helms.

Eason, a 29-year veteran of the state Department of Agriculture, instructed his staff at a small Raleigh lab not to fly the U.S. or North Carolina flags at half-staff Monday, as called for in a directive to all state agencies by Gov. Mike Easley.

When a superior ordered the lab to follow the directive, Eason decided to retire rather than pay tribute to Helms. After several hours’ delay, one of Eason’s employees hung the flags at half-staff.

The brouhaha began late Sunday night, when Eason e-mailed eight of his employees in the state standards lab, which calibrates measuring equipment used on things as widely varied as gasoline and hamburgers.

“Regardless of any executive proclamation, I do not want the flags at the North Carolina Standards Laboratory flown at half staff to honor Jesse Helms any time this week,” Eason wrote just after midnight, according to e-mail messages released in response to a public records request.

He told his staff that he did not think it was appropriate to honor Helms because of his “doctrine of negativity, hate, and prejudice” and his opposition to civil rights bills and the federal Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Yes, I know the Governor put out a mandate. But you know, a man has a right to protest something. If the man did not agree with Jesse Helms’s politics and was in charge of that area. He should have been allowed to not follow the mandate. Yes, I know, he is a Democrat, and an Edwards Supporter. However, I am a strong believer in individual freedom, and this man was simply displaying his disdain for someone, whom he disagreed with his politics, and he ended up having to retire for it. I just do not think that was right. I guess this is another one of them times, when I do not tow “The Party Line”.

Iran tests thier missiles again… Obama and McCain React

(H/T Hot Air)

Via Reuters:

Iran test-fired nine missiles on Wednesday and warned the United States and Israel it was ready to retaliate for any attack over its disputed nuclear projects.

Washington, which says Iran seeks atomic bombs, told Tehran to halt further tests. Iran, the world’s fourth largest oil producer, says its nuclear program is only for electricity.

Iran’s missile tests rattled oil markets, helping crude prices to rebound about $2 a barrel after recent falls.

Speculation that Israel could bomb Iran has mounted since a big Israeli air drill last month. U.S. leaders have not ruled out military options if diplomacy fails to end the nuclear row.

Revolutionary Guards air force commander Hossein Salami said in televised comments that thousands of missiles were ready to be fired at “pre-determined targets.” Missiles were shown soaring from desert launchpads, leaving long vapor trails.

“We warn the enemies who intend to threaten us with military exercises and empty psychological operations that our hand will always be on the trigger and our missiles will always be ready to launch,” he said, according to ISNA news agency.

And Obama’s Response?

Video:

His typical stammering response of we have to appease them.

McCain’s Response?:

Iran’s most recent missile tests demonstrate again the dangers it poses to its neighbors and to the wider region, especially Israel. Ballistic missile testing coupled with Iran’s continued refusal to cease its nuclear activities should unite the international community in efforts to counter Iran’s dangerous ambitions. Iran’s missile tests also demonstrate the need for effective missile defense now and in the future, and this includes missile defense in Europe as is planned with the Czech Republic and Poland. Working with our European and regional allies is the best way to meet the threat posed by Iran, not unilateral concessions that undermine multilateral diplomacy.

Who would you want to vote for? A commie liberal who wants to make nice with Iranians who want to see Israel wiped off the map or someone who will defend Israel till the death, like John McCain?

This is just further proof, that B. Hussein Obama is not ready to lead on day one. Period, End of story, bring another shoe shine boy around to try and run for President, cause this one ain’t even ready.

The Late Night Music Express presents…..Led Zeppelin

Back from a hiatus, it’s time for the Late Night Music Express!

Yes, I will confess, I am a self confessed Led Zeppelin fan.

This is one of my favorite tunes:

“Wearing and Tearing” is a song by English rock group Led Zeppelin. It was recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden during the In Through the Out Door sessions on November 21, 1978.

Due to space constraints, the song was not included on In Through the Out Door. It was left unreleased until 1982, when it was eventually included on the album Coda. It was one of three songs recorded at Polar Studios which were omitted from In Through the Out Door and later released on Coda, the other two being “Ozone Baby” and “Darlene”.

“Wearing and Tearing” was intended as a statement by Led Zeppelin that they could compete against the popular punk bands of the time.

This song was never performed live at Led Zeppelin concerts, although it was played by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant at their reunion at Knebworth in 1990.

Lyrics:
It starts out like a murmur
Then it grows like thunder
Until it bursts inside of you
Try to hold it steady
Wait until you’re ready
Any second now will do
Throw the door wide open
Not a word is spoken
Anything that you want to do

Ya know, ya know, ya know…

Don’t you feel the same way?
Don’t you feel the same way?
But you don’t know what to do
No time for hesitatin’
Ain’t no time for hesitatin’
All you got to do is move
They say you’re feeling blue, well
I just found a cure
It’s a thing you gotta do, yeah

Ya know, ya know, ya know…

Now listen: You say your body’s aching?
I know that it’s aching
Chill bumps come up on you
Yeah, the funny fool
I love the funny fool
?Just like foolin’ after school?
And then you ask for medication
Who cares for medication
When you’ve worn away the cure

Ya know, ya know, ya know…
Go back to the country
Yeah, go back to the country
Feel a change is good for you
When you keep convincin’
Ah, don’t keep convincin’
What’s that creeping up behind a you?
It’s just an old friend
It’s just an old friend
And what’s that he’s got for you?

Ya know, ya know, ya know…

Do your dance do your dance do your dance
Oooooh, medication. Medication! Medication!

and with that I’m outta here, see you all tomorrow!

Now I know I’m never EVER getting on a plane!

Not on your life! Why?

Read:

Just when you thought you’ve heard it all…

A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser®. According to this promotional video found at the Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. website, the bracelet would be worn by all airline passengers (video also shown below).

This bracelet would:

• take the place of an airline boarding pass

• contain personal information about the traveler

• be able to monitor the whereabouts of each passenger and his/her luggage

• shock the wearer on command, completely immobilizing him/her for several minutes

The Electronic ID Bracelet, as it’s referred to, would be worn by every traveler “until they disembark the flight at their destination.” Yes, you read that correctly. Every airline passenger would be tracked by a government-funded GPS, containing personal, private and confidential information, and would shock the customer worse than an electronic dog collar if the passenger got out of line . – “Want some torture with your peanuts?” – (via Washington Times )

As a Constitutionalist and a Libertarian, and just a someone who feels that TOO MUCH Governmental control is NOT a good thing, I think this device is just totally wrong. What worries me even more, is our Dept. of Homeland security wants to get these and force people to wear them!

Why? Because, I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but our Dept of Homeland security is not exactly known for it’s brilliance. What is to say that they zap someone, because they just happen to think that the person is a terrorist.

So, I’ll just say it, no planes for me. At all, ever. I worry that if they start them on planes, it will progress to prisoners, and then why not just everyone?

Scary stuff indeed.

John McCain Said WHAT?!?!?

Ol’ Juan McSame just keeps stepping in it… up to his ears, no less.

From the Washington Post’s “The Trail”:

Sen. John McCain hasn’t had good luck joking about Iran. But he tried it again Tuesday.

Responding to a question about a survey that shows increased exports to
Iran, mainly from cigarettes, McCain said, “Maybe thats a way of killing them.”

He quickly caught himself, saying “I meant that as a joke” as his wife, Cindy, poked him in the back.

Oh Yeah, that’s real nice way to appeal to the centrists who are sizing you up against Obama, you knucklehead.

Michelle Malkin hyperventilates a bit:

I can hear it coming already: faux outrage, MSM feeding frenzy, Worst Person in the World designation, and a 24-hour cycle of cable TV teeth-gnashing over McCain’s off-handed joke about cigarette exports to Iran.

Nope, not this week, Michelle. Keith’s on vacation. At best, Rachel Maddow, who’s subbing for Olbermann this week, will make it a part of the show. Keith’s subs usually do not usually perform the Worst Person in the World bits. Honestly? I think this will be a blip on the radar, really, the left is still frothing at the mouth over Obama’s lurch to the center, and the right, his “supposed” flip flops, or as he calls them, the things that were his positions all along and nobody was paying attention. 😀

But I will say this, McCain really, really, really, needs to work on his humor. between this and that silly “That’s not change you can believe in” along with that laugh, that made him sound like a mental patient. Along that terrible green background. Yeeesh… No wonder he got a new bunch of people to help him out, the previous staff was making him look like an idiot.

……But then again, we are talking about Juan McCain.

I get discriminated against by Google…

As Michelle Malkin found out a little while back, some advertisers do not offer advertising to Conservatives.

That’s right people, Google actually denied me advertising on their “Google Affiliate Network” advertising system.

What happened is, a little while back, I received an e-mail from Google Adsense, letting me know that Google was retiring it’s referral ads program. For an alternative, the e-mail told me that I could sign up for DoubleClick Performics, which I found out, after that I went over to the signup page, that this company had been bought out, by, of course, Google. So, I thought, “Well, I’m already a member of Google Adsense, I’ll just join up here.”. No such luck. I was denied.

An excellent way of controlling their advertising, however, it is total discrimination against me. Because my Blog is a Conservative Blog, I am being denied.

Here’s the e-mail that I received:

Sincerely,

Google Affiliate Network

I supposed if I had a blog, that advocated the mindless and wholesale killing of unborn babies, or a Blog that advocated the unproven science of Global Warming, or if I had a website that advocated the promiscuous sex of 14 year old girls. That I would be accepted with no problem at all. However, because my website is against all these things, my site is considered a unacceptable website to Google.

I am seriously considering removing ALL of Google’s ads here. I have to think about it. But I intend to let the world know about this.

For once, I agree with Andrew Sullivan

For once, I agree with Sullivan on something.

Sullivan on the Social Gospel:

And this is why the cooptation of Christianity for various forms of socialism and redistributionism – Obama’s tendency – is worrying to me. Because it isn’t about encouraging charity; it is about the enforcement of “charity” by the strong hand of the state. And in so far as it forcibly takes people’s property from them, it also diminishes their capacity for real charity.

[…]

And the kind of voluntary communism of which Merton speaks likely only in monasteries and religious orders. In the world as it is, there should be some mandatory public provision for the poor, the sick and the indigent. But it should be a safety-net to avoid specific social evils, not a system of redistribution to construct some notion of “social justice” (see Chapter 6 in “The Conservative Soul”). In the end, the social Gospel can make Christianity less, rather than more, likely. The state cannot experience faith; and it cannot express charity. Only individuals can. One by one.

I don’t agree much with Sullivan. But he’s 100% spot on here. That whole social gospel thing scares the crap out of me. In case anyone has forgotten. Jim Jones and his group of followers, who ended up committing mass suicide, (Although some say that there were some who were murdered, but I digress) they were into what was known as the social gospel. Martin Luther King Jr. Also preached the Social Gospel. It’s that while mantra of “You owe me this“, that bothers the crap out of me.

Not smart Jonah, Not smart at all…

I’m not a politically correct person, not by a long shot.

But I think that this article here, is about is close as one can come to basically saying that, “Obama is just a stupid liberal n****r”, without actually saying it. Attempting to equate a requirement for service, in return for college funding to slavery is not, I repeat, NOT a smart thing to do, seeing the whole climate of this election.

I mean, not agreeing with someones political policy is one thing, but this is another. I have to wonder, would Goldberg have brought up Slavery, if Obama was a White Man?

….and here I thought the Republicans were the party of Anti-Slavery and Anti-Racism.

A video that everyone, and I do mean everyone, needs to watch….

I am a Conservative and a Libertarian. However, I’m also a Christian.

My grandmother died in a nursing home. It was NOT owned Atria, But I felt the care she was given was sub-par and I thought she was neglected.

I am posting this to this blog, because I feel ALL nursing care facilities should be held accountable.

As a Constitutionalist, I believe it is the right of the American people to organize a union to demand better living conditions for those, who are unable to speak up for themselves.

While I do believe in free markets, free enterprise, the right to capitalism and entrepreneurship, I also believe in personal responsibility.

There are those who will slam me as a some sort of quasi-Liberal or some other sort of stupidity. Well, feel free. I could honestly give two shits.

Please, Watch the video and sign the petition.
