Hey, that speech was not so bad says William Kristol?!?!

Calling all cars, Calling all cars, be on the lookout for a Neo-Conservative William Kristol; he has wandered off of the reservation again:

President Obama opposed the war in Iraq. He still thinks it was a mistake. It’s therefore unrealistic for supporters of the war to expect the president to give the speech John McCain would have given, or to expect President Obama to put the war in the context we would put it in. He simply doesn’t believe the war in Iraq was a necessary part of a broader effort to fight terror, to change the Middle East, etc. Given that (erroneous) view of his, I thought his speech was on the whole commendable, and even at times impressive.

[…..]

The close, was, I thought, well done. The president located those who fought in Iraq in the unbroken line of those who, from Lexington to Kandahar, “gave their lives for the values that have lived in the hearts of our people for over two centuries” and who “have fought to see that the lives of our children are better than our own.” There was a welcome implicit repudiation of Neville Chamberlain and appeasement, as President Obama praised our troops for having “fought in a faraway place for people they never knew.”

And at the end: “Our troops are the steel in our ship of state. And though our nation may be traveling through rough waters, they give us confidence that our course is true, and that beyond the pre-dawn darkness, better days lie ahead.” Not a bad tribute to the troops, and not a bad statement of the importance and indispensability of hard power.

And, on the whole, not a bad speech by the president.

First of all, I highly recommend that you go read the rest of that entry.  It is a very fairly well written piece by someone of whom, I disagree with highly on foreign policy. The reason why I say this is because, quite frankly, last night, I watched Fox News channel, I listened to Steven Hayes and Monica Crowley tear President Obama’s speech to pieces. Plus, I sat and read the far-right wing blogs; and I actually sat and wondered, “Do these people actually get an order from somewhere to criticize everything that President Obama says and does?” Frankly, I find that to be absolutely ridiculous. But, I guess that is partisan politics anymore; criticize your opponent no matter what he does. That is why I am a bit different than the rest of these Bloggers who identify with the right. I only criticize Obama when he actually does something that I feel is wrong.  Not because he is a Democrat and I am not and not because it happens to be the sporting thing to do among Bloggers and pundits on the right.

In closing: Kudos to Kristol for at least giving the President a little credit and not going along with the swine pack and doing what comes naturally to Conservatives of his stripe.

PalinBot stupidity from the moderation que

My, my…. I guess my advice to the Conservative movement’s newest shrieking harpy must have hit a nerve with some of her robot followers:

Memo to Political Byline: Are you guys a bunch of lunatic, mysynogist Palin Haters who are running neck and neck with KOS and Democratic Underground for the PDS Derangement Syndrome award of 2010, or do you people considering yourselves a serious polictical site.

I have no issues with you disagreeing or not liking Gov Palin; She knows she is not liked by everyone like any visible politician. But your childish, churlish shouts for her Shut UP (as if she doesn’t have a right to an opinion) is an indication that your enmity towards her borders on delusional and pathological – Almost as if you have a problem with a woman politician.

Good luck getting visitors to your site. Responsible conservatives will consider you a Andrew Sullivan clone, while Libs who hate Palin anyway will like go to Huff Post, et al for their Palin hating fix.

Wow……….. Just wow………….

This is the Republican Party of 2010 and 2012 people; please, keep this in mind when voting, there are other choices; you know like Libertarian? Unbelievable.

Now where is my dog photo????

Ah, here it is!

Say WHAT?!?!: Glenn Beck the White Malcolm X?

Someone over at The Daily Beast thinks so:

Glenn Back the White Malcolm X? Oh My....

But as most of those who attended Beck’s rally understand in their bones, that world is gone. And President Obama, for all his efforts to expand the reach of the federal government, has had very little to do with this deep transformation. Rather, the country has long since been transformed by powerful demographic and economic forces that very much threaten what we might call Glenn Beck’s America.

Instead of accepting or embracing this transformation, a large and growing number of white Americans are, knowingly or otherwise, taking a page from minority protest movements of the past by asserting themselves and demanding recognition from political and cultural elites. Many on the left find this sense of anger and alienation risible, seeing in this movement of “are-nots,” as opposed to “have-nots,” a class of ignoramuses duped by Fox News into acting against their supposed economic interests.

Yet it seems more plausible that Fox News is following its audience rather than leading it — that this anger and alienation has existed for years, and has only now found a decidedly unconventional tribune in the form of Glenn Beck. Though this is a class with economic grievances, it seems more concerned with psychic injuries — with a profound sense of disempowerment in the face of centralized political power.

I contacted the official representative of the Malcolm X Black Power movement and ask for her reaction, this is what I got back:

Need I say anymore? 🙄

The Feckless Far-Right: Exhibit S for Stupidity

You know, I hate to be the one to mock my friends on the far-right. But this one here is a classic example of why the Republican tent is getting smaller by the day.

Over at Neo-Conservative owned NewsRealBlog, you have this big dose of lame ass tripe:

Dirty Sexy Politics by Meghan McCain is scheduled for release on August 31. But you don’t have to wait until Tuesday to see what didn’t make the final editorial cut. NewsReal Blog has obtained exclusive excerpts from the chapters rejected by Meggie Mac’s editors.

1. How Dare People Gawk At My Boobs When I Posted Them Publicly On Twitter

Meghan McCain infamously posted a picture of her, shall we say, “cups over-flowing” on Twitter the very same day that the Balloon Boy hoax went down. Presumably because, as a publicity hound extraordinaire, she couldn’t stand the focus being on some icky kid. From fly-over country, no less. As such, she tried to insert herself, and her massive ta-tas, in the mix. And then feigned indignation when people looked at the picture — that she posted publicly on the Internet. She attempted to make this a pop-up chapter in her book.

OMG! All those meany pantser, objectifiers on twitter didn’t understand that picture was code and a public service! I’m a giver! I was trying to let them know balloon boy was safely hidden, tucked away in my cleavage. Hello? I was holding a book! Everyone knows reading is hard. The purty picture on the book was code, too, obvy. Andy Warhol – a sign that the balloon boy people were just trying to steal MY 15 minutes of fame thunder.

The Andy Warhol book was relevant, seeing that Meghan McCain is well past her 15 minutes. However, sadly, the chapter was omitted because while CNN did not fact check the Balloon Boy story prior to setting the nation in a tizzy, they did fact check Meggie Mac’s ta-tas. Endlessly. Proving once again that journalism is, in fact, as dead as Janeane Garofalo’s career.

As for the Balloon Boy scam and the totally empty hot air balloon?  STILL more substantive than Meghan McCain.

Ah, yes, how supportive of a fellow Republican, than to mock her, because she’s blond, because she’s not a foreign policy wonk, because she is fat. How farking lame can you get? What is Megan McCain’s horrible offense for this sort of hatred and stupidity? Because she is a moderate. Because she is not some sort of far-right wing hatemonger idiot that’s what!

My Public question is this: Hey, Lori Ziganto and Jenn Q. Public! How’s it feel to be pimped out, by one of the biggest and most well-financed Neo-Conservatives that influenced George W. Bush to pursue his Wilsonian foreign policy? Which, by the way, is a PROGRESSIVE foreign Policy stance — which caused the Republican Party to lose the election of 2008, because Americans were weary of the idiotic foreign policy of George W. Bush —- and before you even say it, that’s not Bush derangement syndrome, that is reality folks. But yet, Conservative still flock to these idiots and then wonder why we cannot win elections.

Also, to those of you, who might not like it, because I choose not to embrace the idiotic nonsense of the far right. I have one thing to say to you: Try winning the 2010 and 2012 elections without us. It will never happen. You really want to put a another Democrat in the White House? Then keep on cranking out stupidity and hatred like this here towards Moderate Republicans. Because quite frankly, and very bluntly; I would rather vote for a Libertarian candidate and at least I would know for a fact, that this person would intend on sticking with his principles; which is honestly more than I can say for the previous Republican President, which threw his principles into the wind for the sake of supposedly keeping the bankers rich “Saving America.”

Ask the people that worked with Senator Barry Goldwater Sr.’s election campaign, how embracing the far-right idiotic nonsense worked for them. Ask the people that run George H.W. Bush campaign, when he ran for a second term, after taking us into a war, how easy it was to get reelected. But yet, Republicans just keep on flocking back to these Wilsonian idiots. I will never, ever, understand it.

Countdown to the Semite-Card playing, Wilsonian, Neo-Conservatives attacking me for being a hater in…..5…..4…..3….2

Update: Removed all references to a particular ethnic group. Because I do not want to give the Semite-Baiting twits any more ammo, than they actually need.

My Follow Conservatives: We must help this man

My Fellow Conservatives, if we are the people that we claim to be; a group of people that does distinguish between moderate Muslims and radical Muslims who wish to destroy America. It is time to put our money, where our mouths are.

This man was a victim; A victim of someone who, although intoxicated, was caught up in the euphoria surrounding the Mosque that the backers of park51 want to build. While I feel that the backers of park51 project ought to be covering this man’s bills. I also feel that we, as Conservatives, ought to take the higher plane and ought to at least contribute to this man’s cause and help him cover his bills until he can get back to work. Because, whether we want to admit it or not; there are some on our ranks, that actually created this mess. We ought to be the honorable ones, and help this man. He is an innocent bystander in a war, between those who want to destroy America and those who wish to preserve it.

From CNN:

(CNN) — New York cab driver Ahmed Sharif cannot bring himself to talk about the young man who allegedly cut his throat and nearly killed him last week, a taxi union representative said Sunday.

“Ahmed is a strong man, but mentally he has limits,” said Bhairavi Desai of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance. “The trauma he’s experienced will last for a long time.”

Desai spent time this weekend with Sharif. She said his most pressing worry is how he’ll provide for his wife and four children — including a 10-month-old –without a job. Sharif is receiving 2/3 of his salary, about $30,000 a year, in workers’ compensation. Union members do not get health insurance or disability payments, Desai said.

“My guess is that he’ll be unable to work for at least four months,” Desai said. “He can’t even pick up his baby because of the wounds to his arms. He can’t turn his neck.”

There’s been so little money raised over the past few days for Sharif that it would “barely cover baby formula,” said Desai who, along with Sharif, held a widely publicized press conference Friday announcing the union was creating a fund for the family. The union’s website indicates how to mail a donation or give online.

There is also an address that you can send your checks and money orders to, it is:

Ahmed Sharif
c/o New York Taxi Workers Alliance
250 Fifth Avenue, Suite 310
NY, NY 10001

Further more, I do not want to hear any idiotic griping about how this place is some sort of a union or progressive organization. Who cares? They are helping this man, and that my friends is all that matters. In fact, when this posting goes live. I will be sending a small donation, along with the link to this posting. Because I do want to show, that unlike some people out there, calling themselves Conservatives, I am not ate up with hatred of those of another race. I want to show, that my battle is not against those of the Islamic Faith or those of Arab decent; but that my battle is against radical Islam and Jihad — against those who have hijacked a religion to further an agenda of hate. Sort of like these guys here.

I encourage my fellow Conservatives to for once, to put aside our feelings of mistrust; and help someone, who was quite honestly, caught in the crossfire. If we do this, we can rebuild an image that was tarnished the day this man was stabbed. Do it now; go, give and give abundantly.

The Feckless Far Christian Right: Exhibit GH for Gay Hatred

I hate to even place these buffoons in with the Christian Right for two reasons. For one, in the past; they have supported Democrats and For two; these idiots are beyond just your typical nutty far right wingers. They are just straight up hatemongers.

Via CNN:

(CNN) — A motorist fired pepper spray Saturday at a group of demonstrators and counter-protesters outside a funeral for a U.S. Marine in Omaha, Nebraska, police said.

The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. (11 a.m. ET) as members of a small Kansas church that protests at military funerals and counter-protesters stood nearly a block away from First United Methodist Church during services for Staff Sgt. Michael Bock, 26, who died August 13 in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

A man in a Ford-150 pickup truck drove by, extended his arm and sprayed with a large can, police said. His vehicle was stopped a few minutes later.

“Initial indications are he was probably targeting the Westboro Baptist Church” protesters, said officer Michael Pecha, a spokesman for Omaha police.

George Vogel, 62, who lives just north of Omaha, was booked for 16 counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of felony assault on a police officer for the pepper-spray exposure, police said. Vogel also faces one count of child neglect because his child was in the truck, Pecha told CNN.

[….]

Shirley Phelps-Roper, a member of Westboro Baptist Church, said Omaha police did not adequately control roughly 30 counter-protesters, who she said jostled with church members. She also challenged Knudsen’s and Pecha’s account, saying a few Patriot Guard members were among the counter-protesters.

The group was about 1,000 feet from the church when the driver came by. “Of course it was directed at us,” Phelps-Roper, who is Fred Phelps’ daughter, said of the pepper spray.

None of the 16 Westboro members on the corner were affected because they raised signs to shield themselves or turned away, Phelps-Roper said. The group returned home shortly afterward.

Extra officers were on hand for any possible altercations, but there were only verbal exchanges before the truck drove up, police said.

They should be glad it was just mace. Because folks, they are jacking with our United States Military. They are militant haters who have, like the terrorists on 9/11, have hi-jacked a Religion to further their religion of hate. I am all for having a Religious opinion; I too believe that Homosexuality is a sin. But to protest the funerals of dead United States Soldiers? That my friends is an act of terrorism.

In the past, I have tried to at least explain these people and their thinking. No more. I am done trying to explain them. Baptist? Calvinist? Absolute Predestination? Meh. Screw them — They just haters, hiding behind theology. They are no different than Al-Qaeda; they are Terrorists, Christian Terrorists, who are using our first amendment for protection. Just like Revolution Muslim does; and the only thing that a true-blue, dyed in the wool terrorists understands —- is the end of gun. They are also Anti-American Zealots, who rail against everything that America stands for. They should be arrested on terrorism charges, that Church seized and sold and the funds given to families of dead United States Soldiers.

My Name is Patrick and I am the owner of this blog and I endorse this message. Because nothing is worse than stupid Christians and than is, Hate-mongering Stupid Christians. Terrorists they are; and they should be stopped.

President Obama, is there is one thing you COULD do right and that would be to end this group and end them now. America would be so much better off. However, If I know Shrimpy McWaffle like I do; he would rather have them around to use as a prop to campaign against the Right. Which is about par for the course for this President. However, to be fair, President Bush did excatly nothing about these idiots and I really do not expect President Obama to either. Cowardice in Government is such a tragic thing.

The Glenn Beck Rally: A Massive Capitulation to the Black Race or a Massive Mormon Recruitment Scheme?

I hate having to write editorials like this.  Because every time I do, some idiotic liberal takes what I write and twists them to suit their own means.  I have personal experience with that sort of a thing, as you can see by clicking here.  However, one must accept the things that go along with being someone who speaks the unspeaking truths that are often covered up by those who wish to remain “Politically Correct” — let me be blunt about that; I do not know the meaning of the word.

Looks like Glenn Beck pulled off his big rally in Washington D.C. today. Even the far right’s resident shrieking harpy was there; Yes, I am referring to Sarah Palin. From reports that I have read, Glenn Beck’s rally outnumbered a rally planned by the resident black race hustler Al Sharpton by 5 to 1. From the reports that I have read, Al Sharpton could only muster about 3000 people at his rally. Which is not too awfully surprising, as many within the black community have said that Al Sharpton’s brand of racial incitement is old hat and many young black people consider him to be nothing more than that of a race hustler.

Now back to Glenn Beck’s rally; there were a few things, which I noticed about his rally — I watched a great deal of it, before turning off the feed and going to take my daily afternoon nap.  Now, unless I missed something, I noticed a great deal of black singers, black speakers and so forth.  I have to ask the question, which most likely no one else will ask, because they are scared or fear retribution, which I do not — The question is where were all the WHITE Gospel singers or Christian singers?  Where were all of the great-impassioned white men to speak of Christianity and Love and the greatness of America?  What I saw at Glenn Beck’s rally was nothing more than the largest capitulation to the black race.  Like we White people actually owe them something.  Did not America already do that when Congress signed a law in December of 1865, when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified?  Did not America already do that in 1964, when the civil rights act was signed into law? Then why is it, that Glenn Beck is using a rally to say to the black community, “we surrender?”  My point is here is this; do we as Americans allow political correctness and a desire to heal wounds that were not even afflicted by any White Americans alive today, cause us to rewrite and surrender the TRUE history of America for the sake of political correctness?

Ladies and Gentleman, we have to be real about this, we cannot go around revising history.  America was not settled and founded by blacks.  American was settled and founded by White Puritan Christians from Great Britain! They were White Puritan Christians who were tired of having to live under the rule of tyranny.  In 1619, America began importing blacks as slaves into the United States of America.  This practice continued in the south until the passage of the thirteenth amendment. Now, do I justify this ugly, awful and elicit activity?  Of course, I do not.  In fact, If I had anything to do with the founding of America I would have entreated to the founders of America, that we could never be a true free Nation as long as Blacks were being held captive against their wills and being forced to labor for the White man.

However, we cannot sit and act like the black race or any other race had any part in the founding of America, because they did not.  Anyone who says anything other than that is feebly trying to revise the true history and the founding of America.

Furthermore, another thing that troubles me about this rally is this, the over Christianizing of the founding of America.  I do realize that the founders of America were men of faith, but to say that America is in fact a Christian Nation, is a mere fallacy.  Most of the founders of America were, what most would call today, “Religious,” but they were hardly “Pew Jumpers.”  Furthermore, I find Glenn Beck’s use of a rally to turn people to God extremely troubling.  Glenn Beck is, as some of you know, a Mormon.  Now in the interest of full disclosure:  I am a Fundamental Baptist — a King James Believing, Independent Fundamentalist Baptist.  I make no bones about it, when I say to you, that I do not believe, for one second, that Mormons are actually Christians.  They are not; they are false believers, who believe in an extremely dangerous religion, which closely resembles another dangerous practice: Free Masonry.  One only need read “The Enchanter” by Jack Chick to learn the dangers of Mormonism.  Further, one only need read this site here, to learn about dangers of the practice of Masonry.

So, to Glenn Back: What is it sir, that you were trying to achieve?  Because this white, libertarian-minded, Conservative is unconvinced.  Further, I found your blatant attempt of Christianizing of the political square, to be sickening.  I believe that Christianity, as well as any other religion, should be kept in the Churches, Synagogues, Mosques or other places of worship —- and not in my face.

Blogger Friend of mine could use a little help

I have argued with him, when I thought he was wrong. I have cursed him, when I did not like what he had to say. However, when it comes right down to it. I still like the little scrawny skinny sawed off runt.

Yes, that’s right, I am referring to none other than Robert Stacy McCain.

McCain and I have something in common —-  Calhoun, Georgia.  He worked there at the paper many moons ago and some of my family on my Mom’s side of the family lived there at one point. Dalton, Calhoun, and now they are all over the place in Georgia. You see, most of my people lived in Dalton, Georgia. Well, when we wanted to go see the one aunt; my grandmother’s sister, we went to Calhoun. Hence my association with Calhoun, Georgia. I figure if McCain was from around that area, he cannot be that bad of a guy. As for what a certain unnamed pony-tailed gilipollas in California might think, McCain is not what he says he is. If you are a political Blogger, you know what I am be referring to.

Anyways, I happen to check over at McCain’s Blog this morning and this was staring me in the face:

Yes, that is a $678 repair bill. (What he gets for owning a foreign piece of crap! Serves him right! Harrumph!)

The first thing I thought was, “I told that guy that he couldn’t use that car to jump over creeks.” Turns out, it’s engine trouble. Mr. McCain explains his plight:

Friday afternoon Mrs. Other McCain said, “Oh, Jim just called — you need to go pick up the part for the car.” This required a trip across town to a machine shop, where my 17-year-old son had taken the valve head for our 2004 KIA Optima.

Two weeks ago, the timing belt broke. No problem, it seemed at first. My son and his friend replaced the timing belt but, when they went to start it, it turned out that four of the 16 valves were bent. (This being a side-effect of the broken timing belt, although the mechanics of this side-effect are alien to me.)

OK, so the valve head — the part on top of the engine to which the phrase “double overhead valve” refers — had to go to a machine shop to be repaired. Again, no problem, it seemed. The work would cost “four hundred something,” my son said, and we were prepared to bite the bullet.

Having a teenage son who’s a budding shade-tree mechanic (mentored by his more accomplished buddy) certainly saves labor costs. “Four hundred something” is nothing compared to what this kind of job would cost at a regular auto-repair place. So when my wife dispatched me to fetch the part, I had in mind a certain price that would be paid.

What I didn’t know was that Jim had also ordered gaskets and other parts necessary to doing this repair, and when the man at the machine shop — who may have been the eponymous Denny — told me the bill was nearly $700, my reaction was shocked anguish.

You ask, “So, why does he need my help?” Well, Mr. McCain is a full time writer and blogger, like me. In other words, He’s unemployed; his wife works, but when you have 575, 879,456 (or so… Seriously, I think he has 5 or 6 kids) kids, a house note, a car note for the car that he just fixed, Food costs and so forth — it all adds up. Now, unlike me; he does not have the “support system” other than his legion of fans in the Conservative Blogging World. Not to mention that he is one hell of a good Blogger, that every now and again, he scores a scoop! Not to mention that he has been known to travel to all sorts of neat places to cover political events. For what it is worth, he is not a unknown —- unlike me 🙁 — in fact, he is a pretty well known figure in politics.

So, if you can spare a little chump change, head on over to Mr. McCain’s blog and help the old bastard out. If you do, you shall heap bucket loads of Hosannas and a good JuJu on your head; and everyone knows, good juju is always a good thing.

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. – (Matthew 25:35-46 KJV)

Update: Stacy McCain links over here and comments:

LOL! Actually, I am what used to be called a freelance journalist. The decline of print journalism has made this a problematic job description. Getting paid to write is one thing. Getting expense money is something else entirely.

To which I reply:

“You say Tomato…I say Tomato….”

Anyhow, send the old bastard some money. Because I’d really hate to see McCain getting his butt kicked by his wife. Not that he doesn’t deserve it. 😛

Race-Hustler Walter Fauntroy compares Tea Party to Klu Klux Klan

Here is another reason why I will not ever vote for another Democrat:

Via ABC NEWS:

A civil rights activist and former congressman equated the Tea Party with the Ku Klux Klan today as he blasted a conservative rally planned in Washington, D.C., this weekend.

The Truth about Democrats - (Snatched from Weasel Zippers)

The Rev. Walter Fauntroy, the non-voting delegate who represented the District of Columbia from 1971 to 1991, called on African-Americans to organize a “new coalition of conscience” to rebut the rally scheduled for Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial featuring Fox News pundit Glenn Beck and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

“We are going to take on the barbarism of war, the decadence of racism, and the scourge of poverty, that the Ku Klux — I meant to say the Tea Party,” Fauntroy told a news conference today at the National Press Club. “You all forgive me, but I — you have to use them interchangeably.”

Fauntroy attempted to explain the comparison to white supremacists by saying that organizers behind the “Restoring Honor” rally are the same people who cut audio cables from a sound system the night before the historic March on Washington and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial.

“The same people who cut the cables on the night before the march, that we paid $66,000 for a sound system, they cut it,” Fauntroy said. “Now from Fox News and elsewhere, they are seeking to turn the world back.”

Fauntroy, who is credited as one of the chief organizers of the March on Washington, remembers Aug. 28, 1963, as the “most important date of the 20th century.”

The “Restoring Honor” rally, organized by the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, coincides with the anniversary of the historic March on Washington and the “I Have a Dream” speech. Organizers have said the conflicting date was a coincidence and not a deliberate display of disrespect.

Fauntroy said right-wing conservatives have “declared war on the civil rights movement of the 1960s” that brought together a Coalition of Conscience for a march on jobs and freedom in 1963. He called for a new Coalition of Conscience rally on the Mall in August 2012.

“I don’t want you to think I’m angry,” Fauntroy said. “[But] when this right-wing conservative exclusionary group comes to highjack our movement, we have got to respond. And I’m looking forward to that Coalition of Conscience, in defense of jobs and freedom for women.”

I think this one goes without saying; this guy is nothing more than a race hustler. Which is what the Democratic Party is full of. This is why I stopped voting for them. Because of identity politics or the wanting to punish me for something that I nothing to do with, slavery and segregation.

I have written this all before; but it is worth repeating. The only reason why the Democratic Party has been able to win elections, is because of the black race. For years, the Democratic Party was hostile to the black race and every other minority out there. Then sometime in the mid-1960’s, The Democratic Party decided that the only way that they would be able to continue to win elections was to do two things to blacks. Give them lip service and give them handouts. Granted, The Democrats did get the “Civil Rights Act” passed, which the majority of Republicans supported, and Democrats like Senator Robert Byrd tried to filibuster. A Civil Rights act which was unconstitutional in nature, which is why Senator Barry Goldwater opposed it.

The Republican Party was very open to blacks; do not get me wrong here — There were some Republicans who were hostile and the Republican Party did not “roll out the red carpet” for them either. You have to remember the context of the time period. But for the most part, blacks were welcomed to the party. The trouble with blacks and the Republican Party is this; The Republican Party believes in equal rights for all, special privileges for none. Most black people look at political parties and the first thing that they ask is, “What can you do for me?” The Democrats response is, “We will get you this, this and this…” The Republican Party’s response is, “Not a damned thing”, “Do for yourself!” and the black screams, “RACIST!” and walks away. That is because the black race has been programmed to feel that someone owes them something. That feeling is instilled in them from day one. It usually comes from our public education system, which, of course, is ran, controlled and financed by liberals.  I guess I should be fair and say that not only blacks have this attitude, but also most other minorities and even most poor white people as well. (Believe me, I know what I speak of, I have people in my own family wanting handouts all the time.)

This is not to say that ALL blacks and other minorities are like this, there are some, who do wander off the plantation and are taught the importance of hard work and for looking one’s own self and not waiting on the Government to provide for their every need.  They are usually seen as “Uncle Tom’s”, “House Negros” and sell outs to the black or whatever race that they happen to be. But, that is what the Democratic Party does to the blacks and other minorities. If one of them wanders off the plantation, they are derided like that. Because with the Democratic Party liberals it is all about command and control; and once they lose that command and control of the minorities, they lash out.

In closing: See? I can write about blacks and race hustling without being offensive. At least not to those who actually have a brain.

Unreal: Mosque Supporter says Holocaust Survivor “Didn’t learn his lesson”

You know, I have expressed my dismay at those on the far right, that are using that Mosque in New York as a political issue; and are fanning the flames of extremism  — not to mention are just grandstanding this issue to death.

Well, I regret to report, that it is happening on the left or at least among the Mosque supporters too:

The Video via JammieWearingFool: (CONTENT WARNING – LANGUAGE)

Obviously a Michael Bloomberg and Barack Obama supporter. Classy guy. He calls the old man an unpatriotic, treasonous piece of garbage. A shame how the lamestream media ignored this.

The left loves to call anyone who disagree with them bigots and haters. Just get a look at the vein-popping rage of this man and tell me he’s not consumed with hatred.

While Mr. JWF’s opinion may be slightly over the top; telling or saying that Holocaust survivor “Didn’t learn his lesson,” is just beyond the pale. I may support this Mosque’s LEGAL right to build this building, (Moral right is another story…) I do not support that sort of hatred.

My message to the Mosque supporters; if you think that spewing this sort of garbage and allowing yourself to be taped is going to help your cause, you are very highly mistaken. Bashing anyone, especially Jews; that are opposed to this Mosque only hurts your cause. I will not rush to judgment and call this man a leftist, because I do not know this, neither does JWF; but I digress. Therefore, I will just file this under general stupidity.

The Republican Party, The Tea Party, Bloggers, and YOU

Well, we lost another one!

Looks like Dan Amato, better known as Digger has called it quits with the Republican Party:

To all of you ignorant Tea Party people out there who are continuing to think that you can somehow co-opt the GOP and turn it in the right direction, John McCain is your answer from the Republican National Committee and the top echelons of this corrupt and unfixable party. Their continued support of candidates like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins is an abomination.

As for the Tea Party movement, it has been wholly co-opted by the likes of Dick Armey, a fiercely pro-amnesty for illegal aliens proponent who will never change his ways. And the Tea Partiers stand at the sidelines as he speaks for them. They are the equivalent of the “moderate Muslims” who stand by and do nothing while the extremists take over their “religion”. Let Armey lead you down into the doldrums of the continued bottomless cesspool that is our political system – for it will never right itself. You sheep out there who are supporting the parties and the Armey backed Tea Party – being steered by FreedomWorks – should be disgusted with yourselves. You should have denounced Armey from day one, yet you did nothing as those of us who see what he truly is have been shouting it for more than a year. I see no action from any of you as he gallivants around the country talking for you. Silence is acceptance.

At one point I thought I would go independent for years and maybe the Republicans would turn themselves around and see the light, but that is not happening and it is not going to happen. There is no going back and I will never support the Republicans or the GOP again. The shortest straw has been pulled and placed on the camel’s back that is our country. I urge you to permanently declare your separation from the GOP – for life.

[….]

I will now actively work against the GOP in any manner that I can. I will actively work against the Democrats in any way that I can. As a matter of fact at this point I am seriously thinking of supporting Democrats. I will scream from the mountaintops the pure disgust that both parties have become and convince anyone I can to turn against them. I am of the mind that we need more Democrats in power, more progressives, more John McCains to leave our borders wide open and to allow our citizens to continue to be abused. For what else will wake them up but mass raping, pillaging and murderous attacks?

He is referring, of course, to the reelection of John McCain. Even AllahPundit was not happy about it:

I can’t believe, in this year of all years, we couldn’t find a better challenger for McCain than this guy. It’s 60/29 as I write this. What a travesty.

I can really understand the feelings of both of these guys; I really can. I have to confess something here —- I was, from day one, extremely skeptical of the Tea Party Movement. At first, it sounded like an awesome idea and at first, it was. The problem is this, it was co-oped by movers and shakers within the Republican establishment; people like Dick Army and yes, Sarah Palin.  Sarah Palin might be a good motivator; but like it or not, but she is one of the Party faithful within the Republican Party. Like it or not; but the Tea Party was never a “Republican” or even a “Conservative” movement. It was simply a movement of people who were disgusted by what was happening in the Government. The tragic thing that happened was that it was co-oped by special interest groups with the Republican establishment and more tragically, within the beltway. The Tea Party movement was also feasted upon, by people wanting to make a quick buck on the emotions of the American people.

Some would say, “Did you not do this?” To this, I say, No. I did not. I simply wrote about the movement and gave my feelings on it. I also reported the true account of one of the biggest Tea Party protests in Washington D.C. —- for that I did receive a donation from many readers. Of which I was very shocked that I received them. However, I was very grateful for it. Hopefully, those people are still reading here.

The main question in many minds of many people is:

Where do we go from here?

The answer to that question is this; we keep electing candidates that represent Tea Party values: Low Taxes, Responsible Government and so forth.

I think one of tragedies of the Tea Party was that there was some assumption within the ranks of the Tea Party Movement itself, that this group of unaffiliated activists were going to coalesce into this organized Third Party that was going to unseat the Republican Party as the Party of Conservatism or at least, be this alternative to the Democratic Party in the United States of America. I am afraid that this just was not a feasible goal. The Republican Party is controlled by very well financed and well heeled contributors. Not to mention the fact that there are legions of special interest groups and political action committees, that are loyal to the Republican cause. Basically, without over simplifying it; the Tea Party Movement was outgunned by the one thing, that these activists were protesting against the misuse of in Washington D.C. ——– Money.

Let me be clear, (Thank you Mr. President, for making the best statement of clarity, into a punchline! You Bastard! 😉 ) this should not be considered my “Tea Party – Rest in Peace” posting, as it is not. I believe that the Tea Party did and still is accomplishing what it set out to do. The Tea Party, along with social media, has changed the game for politics; especially Conservative politics. I believe that the Tea Party, along with the election of Barack Obama and also the huge economic crash of 2008; has for the most part, united the Conservative movement — at least on fiscal issues —- now, foreign policy, and social issues, that is another story! —-  The Party was sorely divided under President George W. Bush. This became very apparent in 2006, when the Iraq War got very uglyOh, there are some who continue to hold out, and point at everyone who disagrees with them, as “Neo-Cons.”  (Yes, I know I used the term in a previous entry!) But this group is a very small minority within the Conservative movement. I would dwell on that subject more, but I just do not see wasting any space on them. They call themselves “Alternative Right”, I have a name for them; it is called Neo-Nazi. Hate, not matter how intellectualized or nuanced —- is still hate. This is why I broke away from the Paleo-Conservative camp. The hardcore Paleo-Conservative camp is simply reactionary politics distilled down to it’s simplest forms. Contrary to what they might like to publish, Paleo-Conservatives disdain for Identity Politics on the Left and Right is NOT about the disliking of the Identity Politics itself; but rather for the sole purpose of hating anyone, who is of a different color, race or creed than the majority of Paleo-Conservatives, who are, in fact, mostly older White, well-educated, Americans. There is a word for it, it is called Nativism.

However, this is not to say that the Wilsonian sect of the Republican Party is not a real thing; oh it is, and it is very real and very powerful and quite well financed.  They even have their own magazine. However, the influence of the Wilsonian sect, within the Republican Party is waning. The Republican Party has had a “Come to Jesus” moment on Foreign Policy and even War. The notable exception is this idiotic Park 51 situation. Like it or not; but there are some Wilsonian Conservatives who are milking that little issue for every political bit that it is worth. Further more, they are using tactics right out of Adolf Hitler’s handbook. Propaganda is evil, I do not give a damn who is doing it or why. It is wrong and it needs to stop.

In closing, let me say this to whomever Conservative or Republican happens to read this Blog entry. We as Conservatives and yes, as Republicans —- can do two things. We can take the path of extremism and we can die is a political party. Which would be the absolute delight of the Neo-Liberal left — or we can take the sensible path. We can ignore the Wilsonians and we can take a path of moderation, understanding, and measurement. We can also take a path of integrity —- and we can live and exist as a Party, as a people and as a movement.

We must make this choice.

We must choose Righteousness and not foolishness.

We must make that choice very quickly.

Because darkness is upon us and a time will come — when no man can work.

The Extremely Sadly Obligatory “People think President Obama is a Muslim more and more everyday” Posting

Sigh….

Why must I write about insanely stupid things such as this?

I mean, is being a moderate Conservative automatically a mandate to sign on with the stupid now? If it is, I must have not have gotten the memo on this at all.  Because this bunch of blatant stupidity, I find to be most distressing — almost to the point of shutting my blog and disappearing from Politics altogether.

What I am griping about, is this incredibly stupid poll out, which says that more and more people believe that President Obama is a Muslim.  I mean the man’s Father gives to his kid an Arab middle name, because the man was a Muslim at one time, and everyone freaks and says, “He’s a Muslim!” or in some quarters, “He’s a nigger Muslim!”  —- Depending on where you are, north or south of the Mason-Dixon Line.  Yes, I went there, you are very welcome.  Figure if Dr. Laura can go there, so can I.

Seriously, folks, I am honestly beginning to wonder if some members of the Anglo-Saxon race are not inflicted with some sort of incurable disorder.  I like to call it “Negro-Phobia,” White people are honestly frightened by anyone that looks, talks, acts, and even sounds different than they do.  This is 2010, I thought we were over such nonsense; after all, we did elect the Nation’s first black President.  Nevertheless, this nonsense is still being polled about, talked about and blogged about.

My question to my fellow Conservative is this; do you people honestly believe that this sort of idiotic nonsense is going to get the Republicans elected back into office in November?  I mean, seriously!

What is fueling this sort of nonsense?  Fear —– You know damned well the Republicans are playing that little card for all it is worth.

Look, I know the President is a socialist I get that.  However, to accuse a man of lying about what his Religious leanings are,  is just plain underhanded tripe.  I mean, has all of the damned intellectualism disappeared out of the Conservative side of the Political fence for God’s sake?  Have all of the men of wisdom within the ranks of Conservationism been replaced with Hillbilly Mouth breathing idiots, who have no concept of any sort intellectual thought?

I will not try to mislead my readers — at this point, I am seriously beginning to believe that Conservatives have officially jumped the damned shark on this little subject.  I am not ready to official change to another political stripe or anything; because I have learned too much about the left, and much of it, I cannot stand.  Nevertheless, this nonsense of accusing the first black President of the United States about lying to America, as to what God his subscribes to, is just very ridiculous.

Is this what the Republican Party has become?  The President of the United States, who happens to be black and have Arab middle name has a dinner with a group of Muslims.  The President tells a group of Arabs that are visiting the White House, that this Park 51 site — has the legal, not the moral, but the legal right to build in New York City and that the United States Government will not interfere with this process — and alone, that makes him a Muslim?

Another example: The economy is not recovering as fast or a well as the Democrats had hoped and that somehow means that President Obama is some sort cryptic-Muslim socialist that wants to overthrow the capitalistic system in America, and introduce us to Sharia law and Communism.

Do not laugh; I have heard such stuff out of the mouth of Glenn Beck himself and from other well-known Conservative Bloggers.

If this all somehow sounds familiar to some of my older readers, it should, the same very thing was said about President John F. Kennedy.  There were actually Conservatives and yes, some Democrats who were going around shrieking that Kennedy would be taking orders from Rome.  You see, Kennedy was Catholic and back in those days, a Catholic had never served as President of the United States.  In fact, the issue got so bad, that Kennedy had to address the Southern Baptist Convention in 1960 to convince them and the rest of America that he would not be taking orders from Rome.

Fortunately, back then, it worked.

What you did not have in 1960 were Conservative Bloggers who were “hell bent” on destroying a President, for the simple fact that he is a Black Democrat.  However, today, you do have them and there are many of them.

Look, I am going to make an admission to you all.  I did not create this blog to attempt to destroy President Obama.  I started this blog to criticize the President of the United States on his policies, when I thought that they were wrong, dumb, and misguided, and I will continue to do so.  However, what I will not partake in is the silly idiotic partisan rumormongering that is not based on facts.

Having said all of that let me give an open message to the Conservative and Republican Blogging community:

I will not partake in this stupidity and if this is, what is required to be in with the “Cool Kids” in Conservative blogger, then by all means, count me is an outsider — Because I want nothing to do with this sort of stupidity.

Video: “We Remember”

Constitutional issues aside, this mosque is just morally wrong. Considering the fact that this developers of Park 51 have refused to meet with Governor Patterson, they just do not care about morals at all. Hell, even Howard Dean is saying move the darn thing! Howard Dean people! Is that not any indication to the Democrats that this just might not be a good idea?!?!?!

Anyhow, Watch this and tell me you support that damn towel-head mall; which is what it really is.

Dr Laura quits radio show, plays victim card

You know that someone has royally screwed up and is now spinning, when people on the right are going “HUH?”

First the Video:

and now the story from the NYT’s Media Decoder Blog:

Dr. Laura Schlessinger, the conservative talk radio commentator under fire for repeatedly using a racial epithet, announced on Tuesday that she was ending her long-running radio show.

Dr. Schlessinger made the announcement on Tuesday night on “Larry King Live,” saying she made a decision not to renew her contract when it expires at the end of the year and suggesting that she did not want her opinions and language, however provocative, to be muzzled.

But she stressed that she was not retiring, only ending her show, and would continue to write books and appear at speaking engagements.“I want to regain my First Amendment rights,” she said. “I want to be able to say what’s on my mind and in my heart and what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry, some special interest group deciding this is the time to silence a voice of dissent and attack affiliates, attack sponsors. I’m sort of done with that.”

“I’m not quitting,” she told Larry King. “I feel energized actually — stronger and freer to say the things that I believe need to be said for people in this country.”

Sounds like a “I’m a victim” speech to me….

Z on TV from the Baltimore Sun Agrees:

The end of her radio career (in January when her contract concludes) is the result of her own ugliness on-air with a caller last week who asked “Dr. Laura” about the use of racially charged language. Schlessinger used the N-word 11 repeatedly in her answer, and listening to the tape,  I was shocked by the aggression that I could hear building in Schlessinger’s voice. She was using the word as a weapon.

Some of my colleagues have used the glib phrase “she lost it” to describe Schlessinger’s comments in that exchange, but I think it was almost the opposite: I think perhaps she was letting her speech connect to some deep seated feelings she had, and that is what made her words all the more troubling to me.

Ed Morrissey, while not so personally critical, does point out the obvious:

If Schlessinger feels that getting paid to talk puts too much restriction on her broadcast content, that may well be a legitimate point, but as noted above, broadcasting is only one of several means available to her in commercializing her speech.  Besides, the First Amendment doesn’t confer the right to profit from speech, only the right to speak.  It isn’t an entitlement to publication.  It also means that people can speak out and disagree with what Schlessinger says, even if she sees that speech as an “attack” on her, her sponsors, and her affiliates.  It’s a little late in the game to suddenly get sensitive about criticism, and just a little hypocritical to cast it as an “attack” while demanding the supposed return of her First Amendment rights.

Schlessinger offered a full apology for her remarks, calling them “wrong.”  She didn’t evade responsibility for them, nor did she offer the “I’m sorry if anyone was offended” non-apology apology.  Schlessinger should have stopped there, instead of making herself into a First Amendment martyr when she has never had an issue of being “silenced” or having those rights taken from her.  Even those of us who work daily in the First Amendment space seem to need reminders that the Constitution does not give people the right to be free from criticism after their own exercise of free speech.

I have to agree with all of the above. I am going to be quite blunt and honest with you. I do not like this woman at all. Why? Well, I have to say, that I have problem with people who try an articulate family values, who come from basically broken families; further more, I have a problem with people who are not exactly honest about their personal history. The truth is, Dr. Laura has repeatedly lied about her family, her previous marriages and a host of other things. That is, until people, who were concerned that she was not telling the truth, did some investigative work on her and found out the truth. This forced her to admit that she had not been exactly telling the truth. This to me, ruins any credibility that you might have; I’m sorry, but if I am going to take advice from anyone, it  is going to be from someone, who’s actually coming from a background of ideal family values.

Lastly, there is the issue of religion. I am sorry, but Religion, to me, is not like trying on pair of socks. How any person, can sit on a radio show and give Conservative Traditional and yes, even Christian values; all the while not even being a practicing Christian or any other religion for that matter, is quite beyond me. First, Dr. Laura was a Jew, then she was not; the lady needs to pick a Religion and stick with it.

I am sorry if this sounds like I am being overly critical of Dr. Laura; I know she most likely means to do well. But I believe the she could do and be much better; if she would just be more honest and open about who she is. Plus, find a religion that she can handle and stick with it.

Video: “Those voices don’t speak for us”

One word…. Awesome. 😀 (H/T HotAir)

You tell me the difference between these two quotes

There is something eerily familiar about this quote:

“This is not about freedom of religion,” Cornyn said. “I do think it’s unwise to build a mosque in the site where 3,000 Americans lost their lives as the result of a terrorist attack.”

Voters “sense that they’re being lectured to, not listened to” by Democrats, he said. “The American people will render their verdict.”

Is it just me, or does that that sound much like:

Today I have stood, where once Jefferson Davis stood, and took an oath to my people. It is very appropriate then that from this Cradle of the Confederacy, this very Heart of the Great Anglo-Saxon Southland, that today we sound the drum for freedom as have our generations of forebears before us done, time and time again through history. Let us rise to the call of freedom-loving blood that is in us and send our answer to the tyranny that clanks its chains upon the South. In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny . . . and I say . . . segregation today . . . segregation tomorrow . . . segregation forever.

I am just saying….

This issue will be the death the Republican Party, if they are not very careful. They are giving the Democrats the talking point that they need to defeat them in 2010…and 2012. At this point, as much as it pains me to say it —-They deserve it.

Update: Seeing that no one seems to get what I am trying to say. I will explain it. What is happening here is this; the Republican Party is pandering to the irrational fears of the general public towards Muslims. Just like George Wallace did with the southern Democrats, when they pandered to the White people in the South and their irrational fears of black people back in 1963. It is the same hate, the same pandering and the exact same bigotry. The only difference is, one was directed at blacks and this one is directed at Muslims and more broadly toward Arabs.

I have seen all of the rationalizations for all of this nonsense, and it is nothing more than vary nuanced bigotry. Only difference is that we did not use Arabs for slaves and did not lynch any of them. At least not yet. But I believe if the Republicans had their way; we would be lynching them, all of them, for what happened on 9/11.

Now this is not to say that I am not aware of the danger of Islamic terrorism or unaware or unwilling to accept the fact that there are Muslims who wish to impose Sharia Law in this Country. I am quite aware of that. But there is a big difference between awareness and bigotry; and this nonsense here is nothing more than nuanced bigotry. Period.

The Feckless Far-Right: Exhibit F for Foot-in-Mouth

I am not going to be like the left and call Dr. Laura a racist. I do not know that to be a fact. However, I will say that she has a good knack for putting her foot in her mouth. It appears that Dr. Laura was trying to make a point; and in the process of making that point, used some language that is not acceptable in this “Politically Correct” World we live in today.

Transcript:

SCHLESSINGER: Jade, welcome to the program.

CALLER: Hi, Dr. Laura.

SCHLESSINGER: Hi.

CALLER: I’m having an issue with my husband where I’m starting to grow very resentful of him. I’m black, and he’s white. We’ve been around some of his friends and family members who start making racist comments as if I’m not there or if I’m not black. And my husband ignores those comments, and it hurts my feelings. And he acts like —

SCHLESSINGER: Well, can you give me an example of a racist comment? ‘Cause sometimes people are hypersensitive. So tell me what’s — give me two good examples of racist comments.

CALLER: OK. Last night — good example — we had a neighbor come over, and this neighbor — when every time he comes over, it’s always a black comment. It’s, "Oh, well, how do you black people like doing this?" And, "Do black people really like doing that?" And for a long time, I would ignore it. But last night, I got to the point where it —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t think that’s racist.

CALLER: Well, the stereotype —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t think that’s racist. No, I think that —

CALLER: [unintelligible]

SCHLESSINGER: No, no, no. I think that’s — well, listen, without giving much thought, a lot of blacks voted for Obama simply ’cause he was half-black. Didn’t matter what he was gonna do in office, it was a black thing. You gotta know that. That’s not a surprise. Not everything that somebody says — we had friends over the other day; we got about 35 people here — the guys who were gonna start playing basketball. I was going to go out and play basketball. My bodyguard and my dear friend is a black man. And I said, "White men can’t jump; I want you on my team." That was racist? That was funny.

CALLER: How about the N-word? So, the N-word’s been thrown around —

SCHLESSINGER: Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO, listen to a black comic, and all you hear is nigger, nigger, nigger.

CALLER: That isn’t —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t get it. If anybody without enough melanin says it, it’s a horrible thing; but when black people say it, it’s affectionate. It’s very confusing. Don’t hang up, I want to talk to you some more. Don’t go away.

I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger. I’ll be right back.

and after the break, it got worse…:

SCHLESSINGER: I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger, talking to Jade. What did you think about during the break, by the way?

CALLER: I was a little caught back by the N-word that you spewed out, I have to be honest with you. But my point is, race relations —

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, then I guess you don’t watch HBO or listen to any black comedians.

CALLER: But that doesn’t make it right. I mean, race is a [unintelligible] —

SCHLESSINGER: My dear, my dear —

CALLER: — since Obama’s been in office —

SCHLESSINGER: — the point I’m trying to make —

CALLER: — racism has come to another level that’s unacceptable.

SCHLESSINGER: Yeah. We’ve got a black man as president, and we have more complaining about racism than ever. I mean, I think that’s hilarious.

CALLER: But I think, honestly, because there’s more white people afraid of a black man taking over the nation.

SCHLESSINGER: They’re afraid.

CALLER: If you want to be honest about it [unintelligible]

SCHLESSINGER: Dear, they voted him in. Only 12 percent of the population’s black. Whites voted him in.

CALLER: It was the younger generation that did it. It wasn’t the older white people who did it.

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, OK.

CALLER: It was the younger generation —

SCHLESSINGER: All right. All right.

CALLER: — that did it.

SCHLESSINGER: Chip on your shoulder. I can’t do much about that.

CALLER: It’s not like that.

SCHLESSINGER: Yeah. I think you have too much sensitivity —

CALLER: So it’s OK to say "nigger"?

SCHLESSINGER: — and not enough sense of humor.

CALLER: It’s OK to say that word?

SCHLESSINGER: It depends how it’s said.

CALLER: Is it OK to say that word? Is it ever OK to say that word?

SCHLESSINGER: It’s — it depends how it’s said. Black guys talking to each other seem to think it’s OK.

CALLER: But you’re not black. They’re not black. My husband is white.

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, I see. So, a word is restricted to race. Got it. Can’t do much about that.

CALLER: I can’t believe someone like you is on the radio spewing out the "nigger" word, and I hope everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: I didn’t spew out the "nigger" word.

CALLER: You said, "Nigger, nigger, nigger."

SCHLESSINGER: Right, I said that’s what you hear.

CALLER: Everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: Yes, they did.

CALLER: I hope everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: They did, and I’ll say it again —

CALLER: So what makes it OK for you to say the word?

SCHLESSINGER: — nigger, nigger, nigger is what you hear on HB —

CALLER: So what makes it —

SCHLESSINGER: Why don’t you let me finish a sentence?

CALLER: OK.

SCHLESSINGER: Don’t take things out of context. Don’t double N — NAACP me. Tape the —

CALLER: I know what the NAACP —

SCHLESSINGER: Leave them in context.

CALLER: I know what the N-word means and I know it came from a white person. And I know the white person made it bad.

SCHLESSINGER: All right. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Can’t have this argument. You know what? If you’re that hypersensitive about color and don’t have a sense of humor, don’t marry out of your race. If you’re going to marry out of your race, people are going to say, "OK, what do blacks think? What do whites think? What do Jews think? What do Catholics think?" Of course there isn’t a one-think per se. But in general there’s "think."

And what I just heard from Jade is a lot of what I hear from black-think — and it’s really distressing [sic] and disturbing. And to put it in its context, she said the N-word, and I said, on HBO, listening to black comics, you hear "nigger, nigger, nigger." I didn’t call anybody a nigger. Nice try, Jade. Actually, sucky try.

Need a sense of humor, sense of humor — and answer the question. When somebody says, "What do blacks think?" say, "This is what I think. This is what I read that if you take a poll the majority of blacks think this." Answer the question and discuss the issue. It’s like we can’t discuss anything without saying there’s -isms?

We have to be able to discuss these things. We’re people — goodness gracious me. Ah — hypersensitivity, OK, which is being bred by black activists. I really thought that once we had a black president, the attempt to demonize whites hating blacks would stop, but it seems to have grown, and I don’t get it. Yes, I do. It’s all about power. I do get it. It’s all about power and that’s sad because what should be in power is not power or righteousness to do good — that should be the greatest power.

For the record, she has apologized:

I talk every day about doing the right thing.  And yesterday, I did the wrong thing.

I didn’t intend to hurt people, but I did.  And that makes it the wrong thing to have done.

I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the “n” word all the way out – more than one time.  And that was wrong.  I’ll say it again – that was wrong.

She goes on to say:

I ended up, I’m sure, with many of you losing the point I was trying to make, because you were shocked by the fact that I said the word.  I, myself, realized I had made a horrible mistake, and was so upset I could not finish the show.  I pulled myself off the air at the end of the hour.  I had to finish the hour, because 20 minutes of dead air doesn’t work.  I am very sorry.  And it just won’t happen again.

[….]

One last note –
The caller in question (her name is Jade), called for help from me, and didn’t get it, because we got embroiled in the “n” word, and I’m really sorry about that, because I’m here for only one reason and that’s to be helpful, so I hope Jade or somebody who knows her is listening, and hope she will call me back and I will try my best to be helpful, which is what she wanted from me in the first place and what she did not get.

I am willing to take that at face value. I do not know this woman personally; I will not call her something that I do not know her to be personally. She blew it, she admitted that. However, the racist baiting twits on the left will never be happy, until Dr. Laura and those who believe like her are off of the air for good.

President George W. Bush Greeting the troops at Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport earlier today

Allow me this space to write a few words…. I will be the first to say that I did not always agree with President George W. Bush on policy. But I will say this; I did always know, just right where he stood, on all policy matters. For all of his faults while he was in office; the man did one thing right and that was the decision to sacrifice his Presidency for the war on terror. President Bush knew the stakes and knew the he would most likely become a lame duck President. However, that did not bother him and he did what he had to do, to defend this great nation of ours.

Like him or not….President Bush was and still is a leader, he loved our Military and was willing to take the heat of criticism from the left, for the many deaths of our Military’s officers during the Iraqi war.

I may not have voted for him, but I do and will always respect him.

Pastor Donald Crosby - Bible-Thumping Moron at large

Warner Robins police say they arrested Pastor Donald Crosby Monday morning as he and a group of supporters protested Warner Robins High School’s “Demon” nickname and mascot.

Warner Robins police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says 36-year-old Crosby was arrested after police told him he didn’t have a picketing permit, as required by the city.

Crosby and the group set up the protest outside the school on the opening day of classes because of their opposition to the school’s Demon team nickname.

The pastor says his son attends the school and he doesn’t want him exposed to the name’s evil connotations.

Meanwhile family members are mourning the passing of their own, who was a Mennonite Medical Missionary, who was killed in Afghanistan:

AKRON, Pa. (AP) — A Mennonite international aid group based in central Pennsylvania says a medical worker gunned down in Afghanistan is only the third person killed in its 90-year history.

Representative John Williamson of the Mennonite Central Committee describes 40-year-old Lancaster, Pa., resident Glen Lapp as a “very kind, loving, respectful person.”

Williamson says Lapp was due to finish a two-year assignment in Afghanistan in October.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the Thursday shooting deaths of Lapp and nine other volunteers, saying the workers were trying to convert Muslims to Christianity.

But Williamson says any claims that Lapp’s group was proselytizing in the region are “rubbish.”

Lapp was working with a charity that was providing eye care and other medical services in the country.

I ask you, which one of these two sounds more like an actual Christian to you? A man who gave his life, so he could help others; or some idiotic freak who think it’s his God-Given mandate to protest some schools Mascot?

…and they wonder why I will not attend Church anymore…

It is time to vote in the Michigan Primaries

I should have posted this earlier. But, I was busy.

I voted in today’s primary. I voted for Mike Bouchard for Governor of the State of Michigan.

I ask that if you live in Michigan and you are registered to vote, that you do so. When you vote, vote for Mike Bouchard.

A little about Mike Bouchard:

Born and raised in Michigan, Mike Bouchard has been committed to improving our state. Growing up in Oakland County, he attended Birmingham Brother Rice high school. He and Pam, his wife of twenty years, are teaching the same Michigan values they learned growing up to their three kids. From police officer to small business owner to elected office, Mike has taken on many different roles in his efforts to preserve and protect our way of life.

Bouchard FamilyMike brings all his experience, knowledge and leadership to the race for Governor. He understands it’s a critical time for the state, as many families face uncertain times as our economy continues to struggle. As governor, he’ll be prepared on day one to start making the tough choices that will turn our state around. He knows it took a long time to get here, so there are no easy fixes or simple solutions. But we need to take the first steps in order to get us back on the road to prosperity.
Mike believes if we fix Lansing, we’ll get Michigan back to work.

He’ll be able to bring his knowledge from serving as a leader in the state Senate to develop lasting solutions. He was in the Senate when our leaders worked together to deliver balanced budgets and tax cuts every year he was there. As Assistant Senate Majority Leader, he worked closely with leaders like Governor Engler and then Senate Majority Leader Posthumus. Mike placed a priority on helping families. He pushed for the Michigan Sex Offender Registry requiring sex offenders to register with local law enforcement agencies and making that information publicly available for concerned parents and neighbors. He also chaired the education committee where he worked to empower parents and students to make more decisions about their future.

Go read the rest of that. Mike’s a proven leader, that knows how to get things done. Just we need for Michigan and for jobs to be returned to this area. I supported Mike Bouchard since day one and I do truly hope that he does win this primary.

Check out Mike Bouchard for Republican  Governor of the State of Michigan.

Does this mean that President Obama is racist too?

(H/T to The Other McCain for this nice catch)

This is just too good. When corrupt black Democrats get caught with their hands on the hog jowls plate in the cookie jar, they use the one thing, that they have left in their arsenal:

Last tool in the bag for Democrats!

Via Politico:

The question of whether black lawmakers are now being singled out for scrutiny has been simmering throughout the 111th Congress, with the Office of Congressional Ethics a focal point of the concerns. At one point earlier this year, all eight lawmakers under formal investigation by the House ethics committee, including Rangel and Waters, were black Democrats. All those investigations originated with the OCE, which can make recommendations — but take no final actions — on such cases.

There’s a “dual standard, one for most members and one for African-Americans,” said one member of the Congressional Black Caucus, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The member said it’s too easy for an outside group to damage someone’s reputation by filing a claim with OCE.

“This is stacked against you once an accusation is made,” the lawmaker added. “You’re guilty until proven otherwise.”

Um, does this mean that President Obama is a racist too, against his own people?

Here’s the problem with that whole accusation:

The racism charge, though, was rejected by Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, an ethics watchdog group, even as she acknowledged the current situation is bound to anger black lawmakers.

“There are ethics problems within the CBC,” she said. “They have to acknowledge that.”

Sloan noted that several white lawmakers, including Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) and Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-Ind.), are currently under investigation by federal and congressional investigators. Ensign is being investigated by the Senate Ethics Committee and the Justice Department over the fallout from an extramarital affair he had with the wife of a top aide, while Visclosky and his former chief of staff are being probed over their ties to a now-defunct lobbying firm raided by the feds last year.

Two other white lawmakers, Reps. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) and Mark Souder (R-Ind.), resigned this year under ethical clouds. Massa left Congress after POLITICO reported he was under investigation by the ethics committee for sexually harassing male staffers, while Sounder quickly departed after admitting a long-running extramartial affair with a part-time aide. The findings from the Massa investigation have yet to be released by the ethics panel, although Massa is no longer within their jurisdiction.

So much for the fact that the ethics committee targeting the blacks in Congress!

This just shows you the mindset of the Liberal blacks in America today. They somehow believe that they are somehow entitled to break the law, because of the fact that white people kept them as salves over 300 years ago. This is a classic case liberal identity politics at its finest; and before anyone says that I am some sort of a racist for pointing this out. Save your breath, it is NOT racist of ME or anyone else to point out that the black liberals seem to believe that their black skin and their history entitles them to break the law. Further more, it is not racist of me to observe that these liberal black law breaking thugs want to weasel out of corruption charges using the oldest trick in the liberal book —- race baiting.

So much for post-racial America, aye Mr. President? 🙄

Why I left the Far-Right: Exhibit R for Racism and L for Lies

Here is another reason why I basically decided to part ways with the Neo-Conservative, Far-Right in the Blogosphere — Which included me leaving the Conservative Hive on BlogAds.

It seems that some writer over at John Hawkings’s Right Wing News Blog, which is a strict Neo-Conservative Blog, has posted a entry rife full of lies and outright racism towards Arabs in Detroit.

First, the racism:

Just as no good deed goes unpunished, no act of evil remains unrewarded for long — much less a whole career of evil that reached its crescendo with a denunciation of Jews so tasteless that not even the liberal establishment media could stomach it. This is why the Muslim colonists populating Dearbornistan are erecting a statue of Helen Thomas.

Did you get that? “Dearbornistan.” That is what your Far-Right in this Country is come to; outright racism and bigotry towards Arabs. Dearbornistan is a racist play on words for the city of Dearborn, Michigan. Which is populated by Arabs. The good majority of which are peace-loving Muslims and yes, some Christian Arabs as well. But, that is no matter to those on the far-right; they are ate up with bigotry and hatred towards the Arabs in this Country. Mainly because of 9/11. My question to them is this; do two wrongs make a right? I think not. Could you imagine if someone referred to an area of America, that was heavily populated by Jews in the same manner as this? The outrage would be absolutely deafening.

Not being satisfied with just being a racist bigot, this guy is also a liar as well, check out this little nugget of B.S.:

I’d be surprised if taxes aren’t making up most of the difference. No problem, Michigan is flush with cash these days.

Nowhere at all in this story, which is about Helen Thomas getting statue of her likeness in a Arab Museum; does it say a thing about Helen Thomas’s statue being paid for by U.S. Tax dollars, nowhere. But that does not stop these far-right, Neo-Conservative bigots from spreading lies like this. Because, you see, it is all about their bigoted little narrative, that ALL Arabs are terrorists, and that they are out to kill all Americans and so forth.

Do not misunderstand me here, I do not not, nor will I ever side with the socialist left in this Country. But I will be damned if I ever side with a bunch of far-right bigots either! This is the reason why I personally believe that the Republican Party is going to get it’s ASS handed to it in the primaries and in 2012. The American people, like me, just do not have any tolerance for bigotry and racism —– towards ANY race at all. This is why I voted libertarian in the 2008 election. One because I thought Sarah Palin was an idiot, and still do; two because of this sort of idiotic racist bigotry that exists in the Conservative circles. It is wrong, it should be flushed out and exposed for what it really is.

I mean, these guys are acting like the Jim Crow racist Democrats of the south prior to 1964. It is truly unreal.

Let me also say this; this sort of crap right here, is why I basically parted ways with the more Paleo-Conservative circles in the past. Because I just do not have any tolerance for this sort of nuanced bigotry and racism, and now here it is being found in the more main-stream, Neo-Conservative circles. If William F. Buckley was alive he would be fit to be tied for idiotic nonsense like this. Using 9/11 as a license to act like Klan members; it is truly unbelievable.

Sorry, but, no one rescued me

I feel the need to write about this, but I am not. I am going to post a video reply.

Over at “The Other McCain”, I saw this headline:

EMERGENCY: SAVE STOGIE!

Aside from the “ZOMG! Eleventy!!!!” element to it. I didn’t think much of it. So, I went over and looked:

Home foreclosures are continuing at a brisk pace, according to an article by McClatchy News.   Many of the first foreclosures that began three years ago, when the housing bubble began to burst, were for subprime mortgages.  Now, however, a fresh batch of foreclosures is occurring because people have lost their jobs and can’t pay them.  I am now in that category.  I didn’t pay my July mortgage payment and probably will miss August as well.  I haven’t been answering the phone, which rings constantly from bill collectors.

Our savings kept us afloat for a year.  When it was gone, I borrowed the equity out of my life insurance.  That’s gone too.  We were hoping to ride out this recession, to survive until it was over.

This prompted a back and forth between me and Robert Stacy McCain:

Meh, No pity…

Maybe Rupert Murdok or one of his Zionist friends can bail him out.

Dammit, Pat, if you knew what a great guy Stogie is, you wouldn’t say useless crap like that. I was tempted to delete your comment, but I’ll leave it up, just to chastise your conscience when you see the testimonials to Stogie’s valiant character.

I’m sure he is a great guy. But nobody bailed my ass out when I was over 18 grand in the hole back in 2004. I filed for chapter 7 and started over.

I’m just sayin’…

Of course, McCain’s sock puppets came out in full force against me; which is of no surprise.

Here’s my video reply on the subject and my apologies in advance for the poor audio quality and picture:

That’s my opinion, and I welcome yours.

Why do Conservative Republicans and Christians say stupid stuff like this?

Today it is a twofer.

First in the Christian Column:

The Story over at the Puffington Post:

Evangelical Christian minister Tim LaHaye says that the policy initiatives put forth by the Obama administration are bringing the country “closer to the apocalypse.”

LaHaye issued the dire warning in an appearance this week on Mike Huckabee’s talk show on Fox News.

“Our present president doesn’t seem to get it,” LaHaye explained. “He doesn’t understand that some of the things he’s introducing that many of us call ‘raw socialism’ — it’s a different name, but it’s essentially government control and government domination of everything.”

The evangelical voice said of the political platform maintained by the Obama administration, “It’s going to work against our country and bringing us closer to the apocalypse.”

Huckabee went on to prod LaHaye a bit further on his assertion. “Are we now living in the end times, from your perspective?” asked the former Arkansas Governor and possible 2012 White House contender.

LaHaye’s response: “Very definitely, governor.”

Tim Lahaye does not know the hour of the coming of Christ, than anyone else. Further more, President Obama is not pushing us closer to the coming of Christ, no more than Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Ronald Reagan or Jimmy Carter. This is classic straight up fear-mongering.

A little Bible:

35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:35-37, King James Version)

and….

31Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. (Mark 13:31-33, King James Version)

Anyone who says ANYTHING other than this, is blowing smoke up your skirt. period, end of story.

Next, we have this little gem here:

This past Tuesday, Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN), who is also a leading candidate for the GOP nomination for governor, joined a conference call with the right-wing National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). When the subject of extending unemployment benefits arose, Wamp complained that giving people unemployment insurance was “creating a culture of dependence which we do not need.” He then said that he wants “people out there scraping and clawing and looking for work and not just sitting back waiting.

Wamp […] said small business, the NFIB and he as governor “must resist… any more mandates to small business to help the unemployed — that we have continued to extend on a federal level, I think, unemployment compensation so long that there’s disincentives for people to actually re-enter the workforce or go out and look for a job.

“And this is creating a culture of dependence which we do not need. We want people out there scraping and clawing and looking for work and not just sitting back waiting. And so we’ve got to not allow any more mandates.”

Oy. Talk about done deaf. Before anyone hollers at me about the source of this story here; please, save it. I am not some sort of partisan hack. I believe the stupidity is stupidity. No matter who is reporting it.
