An Excellent Video:

Now, towards of the end of this. He gets off into the weeds about the Unions. I’ll give him a pass on it. Because some of the stuff he says, I kind agree with. But he went overboard with the “They should gotten out from under them years ago…” I disgree with that crap. But the rest of the video is right on point.

Of course, if I was a real butt hole, I could say if it weren’t for the Democrats, his black ass would not have half the freedom that he has now. But to counter that, If it were not for Abe Lincoln, he would be still in chains. So, it evens out. 😀

After the mother complained to Haverstraw Middle School, the superintendent said he was having “conversations with our staff on how to deliver effective lessons.”
“If a student was upset, then it was a bad idea,” said Superintendent Brian Monahan of the North Rockland School District in New York City’s northern suburbs.
The teacher apologized to the mother who complained and her 13-year-old daughter during a meeting Thursday that also included a representative of the local NAACP. But the mother, Christine Shand of Haverstraw, said Friday she thinks the teacher should be removed from the class.
“I think the teacher should have gotten some discipline,” Shand said. “I know if that was me, I would be uncomfortable going back to that class. Why should my daughter have to switch?”
Monahan refused to say what, if any, measures were taken against the teacher, Eileen Bernstein, who was still working on Friday. The school district said she was not available for comment.
“We encourage our teachers to deliver the curriculum in a variety of ways, to go beyond just reading the textbook,” the superintendent said. “We don’t want to discourage creativity. But this obviously went wrong because the student was upset.”

Uhm…. These people ought not to be allowed near cars. Much less teach.

As I discussed with economic guru Brian Wesbury on tonight’s show, the GOP should demand a real concession as part of a quick deal to get Detroit cash. I think the price from the Dems should be a cut in the corporate tax rate for MI- and OH-headquartered businesses to Ireland’s 12.5%. As Wesbury said, it would spark a huge economic revival in the Wolverine and Buckeye states –just huge. And the teaching moment would be huge as well.
Detroit is going to get the money now or in February. So get something worth having, House and Senate GOP.

Uh, Hugh? Has anyone bothered to inform you that you all are in the minority in Congress? I mean, you all had your chance in 2003 till 2006 to stop the economic crisis and you sat around and did nothing. You ought to hope that “The One” does not force the desolving of the G.O.P. and outlaws Conservatism in General.

Somehow, I highly doubt at Tax decrease would even help. We’re in a recession, in case you didn’t know. Of course, being the wealthy radio star and all, I would not expect you to know this.

It just does not make sense and it speaks to the attitude towards the working class in this country of those on Capital Hill. The only Conservative that I have any remote respect for, Patrick J. Buchanan; has been the only one speaking out in thier defense, the rest are assholes. Period, Plain and simple.

Code Pink’s very upset about it and forwarded it around. The key bit is that the Berkeley Public Library wants a waiver to get around the Berkeley Nuclear Free Zone laws (because they can’t do business with 3M otherwise).
It’s amusing in its own way…
Hi Berkeley People!
Who would ever have believed that this law that has been on the City of Berkeley books for 22 years in our town is now in jeopardy! Not only that but it[‘]s because of our beloved Berkeley Public Library! This is a situation that would make Kafka, himself, shudder!
The present dilemma starts with the Radio Frequency Identification D’s (RFID)-these are the chips now in all library books to track them AND you when you carry said book. They were purchased from the company, “Checkpoint” who then turned the (expired) contract over to 3M.
Since 3M is a manufacturer of munitions and depleted uranium with connections to Honeywell and Boeing, it is against the law for Berkeley to do business with them because of the Nuclear Free Status Law.
That’s why the library is requesting Berkeley to institute a 2 year waiver to rescind our Nuclear Free Status.
This waiver, which is now before the Berk. Peace & Justice Commission of the Berkeley City Council, could allow nuclear material to be transported through our town. In Berkeley we also have an important reputation as a peace city-this obviously would be in tatters.
The library doesn’t want to go to a bar-code system; it’s easier for them to keep the status quo even though the cost is $70,000/year to maintain this invasive of privacy system that also requires the waiver of the above mentioned law.
The Nuclear Free Law is more relevant now than ever!
PLEASE call/write your council person to take action on this matter. The Peace & Justice Comm has tabled the issue until its next meting in Jan. as no decision could be made at the Dec 1 meeting.
I believe the next meeting will be on Jan 5th. 2009.

Question No. 58 in the transition team vetting document for the Obama White House asks that applicants: “Please provide the URL address of any websites that feature you in either a personal or professional capacity (e.g. Facebook, My Space, etc.)”
Question No. 63 asks that applicants “please provide any other information … that could … be a possible source of embarrassment to you, your family, or the President-Elect.”
For a while there this afternoon, President-elect Barack Obama’s immensely talented chief speechwriter, 27-year-old Jon Favreau, might have been pondering how to address that question.
That’s when some interesting photos of a recent party he attended — including one where he’s dancing with a life-sized cardboard cut-out of secretary of state-designate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and another where he’s placed his hand on the cardboard former first lady’s chest while a friend is offering her lips a beer — popped up on Facebook for about two hours. The photos were quickly taken down — along with every other photo Favreau had of himself on the popular social networking site, save for one profile headshot.
Asked about the photos, Favreau, who was recently appointed director of speechwriting for the White House, declined comment. A transition official said that Favreau had “reached out to Senator Clinton to offer an apology.”
Favreau is not the first campaign aide whose online presence has proved awkward. Last March, John McCain aide Soren Dayton forwarded an anti-Obama YouTube video to his private Twitter feed linking Obama with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, leading to his suspension from the campaign. And in 2007, two bloggers hired by former North Carolina senator John Edwards stepped down after blog posts they had written before he hired them became a subject of controversy.
Favreau’s case seems unlikely to be so dire; Clinton senior adviser Philippe Reines cast the photos as evidence of increased bonhomie between the formerly rival camps.
“Senator Clinton is pleased to learn of Jon’s obvious interest in the State Department, and is currently reviewing his application,” he said in an e-mail.

I’ve criticized Michelle Malkin in times pasts, when I felt that she has went off the rails.

Today, is not going to be one of those days.

Michelle writes in her column today about the stupidity of the conspiracy theorists. One of them, as that morally depraved, Homosexual “So-Called” Conservative; Andrew Sullivan, who still, to this day, does not believe that Sarah Palin’s baby was hers. Another is a group of ignorant morons who are attempting to prove that President-Elect Barack Obama is not a true United States Citizen.

Both of these are rooted in one thing, and one thing only. Stupidity. I believe that people that are going after Obama for one reason and one reason only. Abject Racism.

…and before anyone brings up my photo in the sidebar. It is one thing to inform the Minorities that I do not believe in diversity. It is another to waste my tax dollars, to attempt to bring a lawsuit to the supreme court, that has absolutely no merit at all.

So, to Michelle; I say thank you. Thank You for bringing up what I have been saying for a while now. Some people just need to accept the fact that a BLACK MAN is going to be our next President and get over it and MOVE ON!

Further more, let me bring up another factoid. Many of you may have heard about the ridiculous e-mail that has been forwarded around, that Obama was a Muslim, and then the one that he was not a true citizen. Do you know where those ridiculous e-mails originated from? No? Well, I will tell you. They originated from a White Nationalist Forum called “Stormfront.” (Google it… I dare not send those turkeys traffic)

How I did know this was the case? Way back when those e-mails first started circulating. I took the first paragraph and entered it into google, guess which site came up first in the results? That’s right, Stormfront. When I brought this to light on my old blog, which was originally called “The Populist”. Someone must have brought it to the attention of “Stormfront’s” Management, because not too long after that, the entry disappeared, interestingly, it disappeared from Google’s cache too.

The really sick and sad part is this. Some idiot wrote an Op-Ed over at the Conservative Voice, which has since merged with Townhall, he took most, if not all, of the information from this e-mail; without citing his source, of course, and wrote this long editorial stating that Obama was a Muslim and not a United States Citizen.

My point is this, people point the finger of accusation of why John McCain lost this election. The only people that those within the G.O.P. should be blaming; is themselves and their own base.

Do not misunderstand me; I dislike the idea of Barack Obama being the President just as much as anyone else. But to delve into the arena of Conspiracy Theory and blatant stupidity does nothing to further the cause of Conservatism. It simply makes us look one way and one way only; Stupid!

Charlie Rangel’s Ethics

Between 2004 and 2007, Rep. Charles Rangel steered nearly $80,000 in campaign cash to an Internet company run by his son – paying lavishly for a pair of political Web sites so poorly designed an expert estimated one should have cost no more than $100 to create.
The payments are apparently legal under federal law, but their disclosure raises new questions about the Ways and Means chairman as he faces House ethics committee probes into his failure to pay taxes on rental income and his alleged use of House stationery to solicit contributions for a public policy center that bears his name.
Rangel’s leadership PAC and congressional committee shelled out $79,560 to Edisonian Innovative Works LLC for “websites,” according to Federal Election Commission filings.

Yes, but it is legal?

“This is probably legal but is definitely wrong,” said Meredith McGeehee of the Campaign Legal Center, a nonprofit organization that monitors compliance with electoral law.
“You’re in a situation where you were given money for a campaign and it’s being used to enrich family members,” she added. “The return argument is they’re performing legitimate services. The question that needs to be asked in this case is: Was this a legitimate payment or was this a payoff?”
Rangel spokesman Emile Milne said Rangel’s son was a valuable member of the congressman’s re-election team and was paid a modest monthly retainer to build, maintain, update and publicize the site.
“Steven Rangel’s firm was paid roughly $2,500 on a monthly basis—less than the firm that had previously managed Congressman Rangel’s Web and on-line operation (Network Politics)—and the firm’s fees included money for Web advertising designed to promote traffic to the Web site,” Milne wrote in an e-mail message to Politico.

You know. I am going to just say this. This Representative is on the ways and means committee. He is supposed to be a man of integrity. It is become very obvious that this man has no integrity and should resign his position as the chairman of the ways and means committee.

Of course, when you say something like this about an African-American Representative you are automatically panned as a raaaaciiiist! So, do not expect much to become of this. Because when you are black politician, especially a black Liberal politican, rules do not matter. But you always have that race card to play.

A sick and disgusting thing indeed. 😡

If you want to blame someone, blame President Johnson, if he would have kept his nose outta the business of the south, Rangel would not be in the House and maybe they would be some integrity on capital hill!

Chris Matthews is dead serious about running for the Senate in Pennsylvania — and is shopping for a house in the state and privately discussing quitting MSNBC as proof of his intense interest, according to NBC colleagues, political operatives and friends.
Even so, some NBC insiders think it’s all simply a negotiating ploy to jack up his contract.
The garrulous host of the show “Hardball with Chris Matthews” has already picked out a home in Philadelphia to establish residency in the state, according to a Democratic operative in discussions with him about a potential candidacy. Over Thanksgiving weekend, at his vacation house in Nantucket, Matthews’ family members gave him their full backing.
As speculation surrounding his potential candidacy heats up, Matthews has also been asking advisers whether to step down from his MSNBC post well before his contract expires in June. At one recent meeting, he was advised that if he truly intends to run, he should resign from the network as soon as possible.

Interesting Political Debate

As you might know, I get a great deal of video from Breit Bart’s Video Website. I also am signed up for his RSS feeds. I happen come across a video of a debate between John Ziegler and Nate Silve r.

Here is the video of this most interesting back and forth:

Okay, here’s my impressions. First off John Zeigler’s phone audio was way much louder than Nate Silver’s. Which made hearing Nate harder. You would think an organization like Breit Bart TV would know how to use a computer EQ system or have a mixing board to evenly regulate sound from the Telephone.

Second of all, Zeigler comes off sounding like a arrogant prick, kinda like some smart assed drunk in a bar, that I once had to punch in the face — long story there. I can understand Zeigler not agreeing with Silver’s political idology, but to take a condescending tone with someone like that, is just totally unprofessional. I must say Nate Silver handled himself very well. If that would have been me, I would told Zeigler to go get bent and if he had a problem with it, I would have invited him to meet me somewhere and he would be needing some dental work, when I got done with him. 😡

Not only this, I do not buy the claim that he cannot release the unedited footage and make it available on the internet. He chooses not to.

More importantly is this. Honestly, who gives two flips about polls, really! I mean the election is over. Obama going to be President, Conservatives like Zeigler need to just accept it and move on.

For what it is worth; no, I do not buy that Breit Bart is neutral and that the Z-Cast is A-Political. They’re a Conservative website. Which promotes and portals videos to a particular audience.

Update: Yes, I know, the video auto plays. I checked the code, there is no way to change that. It’s lame, it sucks, but I can’t fix it. Sorry. 🙁

Minority auto suppliers are being disproportionately hurt by the auto industry implosion, and that is devastating Detroit’s African-American communities, the city’s Council of Baptist Pastors said Tuesday.
At a news conference in Hamtramck, council President the Rev. Dr. Oscar King called on Congress to approve a loan package for Detroit automakers.
“This is not a gift. We are not asking for anything that is not ours,” King said of the federal loans for the Detroit Three. “Taxes go up to the federal government. We’re asking for a reasonable redistribution.”

Oh Brother. 🙄

Yeah, they won’t be able to buy no more fried chicken on Sunday. Poor babies. 😛

Saxby Chambliss has won the race for Georgia Senate.

The numbers:

Chambliss (R) 1,145,192– Martin (D) 820,737 with 92% reporting as of this posting

This closes down the notion that Barack Obama would have a filibusterer proof Senate….. yay! 😀

Some of you might be shocked to know that I am extremely happy about this. I am happy for a number of reasons; First off, this will force Obama to have to utterly abandon his agenda of radical socializing the United States of America. It will slow the Liberal agenda of some of the Liberal Left.

But most important of all, it insures that there will still some semblance of balanced Government in Washington D.C.; I believe that balanced Government is paramount in a free and democratic society.

So, while I would have like to have seen more Conservatives in the Senate. I’ll take this one!

A big congratulations to the Senator Chambliss! 😀

….and on a Personal note, Whitfield County, which is the County Seat for Dalton, Georgia voted 9,738 to 3,533 in favor of Chambliss, I guess them Dalton folk are smarter than I’ve given them credit for! 😉
