Transperancy? What Transperancy?

Not like this was a shock or anything. Via the Washington Examiner:

President Obama has abolished the position in his White House dedicated to transparency and shunted those duties into the portfolio of a partisan ex-lobbyist who is openly antagonistic to the notion of disclosure by government and politicians. Obama transferred “ethics czar” Norm Eisen to the Czech Republic to serve as U.S. ambassador. Some of Eisen’s duties will be handed to Domestic Policy Council member Steven Croley, but most of them, it appears, will shift over to the already-full docket of White House Counsel Bob Bauer. Bauer is renowned as a “lawyer’s lawyer” and a legal expert. His resume, however, reads more “partisan advocate” than “good-government crusader.” Bauer came to the White House from the law firm Perkins Coie, where he represented John Kerry in 2004 and Obama during his campaign.

So much for all that “Hope and Change” and “New Syle of Government” that we heard about so much in the Campaign.

2012 GOP contender poll

Already? Go Read

Less than three months before the unofficial start of the next race for the White House, a new national poll suggests there is no frontrunner for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. But a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday also indicates that the eventual GOP nominee would have the edge over President Barack Obama if the election were held today. According to the poll, when asked to choose among a list of nine potential GOP White House hopefuls, 21 percent of Republicans support former Massachusetts Gov. and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for their party’s 2012 nomination, with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at 18 percent. Romney’s three point advantage over the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee is within the survey’s sampling error.

If Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin ran together and won the General election; I would leave the country. Mittens is nothing more than a Democrat-lite. (Remember Romney-Care?) and Sarah Palin; Well, we already know about that!

UPDATED: Video: Democrat Voters give up on hope and change

Folks, this one hits close to home. I have family that lives over near Albion, Michigan.

Video: (H/T HotAir.com)

The Story via the WSJ:

ALBION, Mich.—Michelle Rena Jones cheered when candidates Barack Obama and Joe Biden visited south-central Michigan in 2008. She supported Mr. Obama that November along with a slate of Democrats, including Mark Schauer in the 7th congressional district.

Job creation is one of the top issues among voters. In districts with high unemployment, that could spell trouble for a host of Democrats in tight congressional races. WSJ’s Neil Hickey reports.

Now, the 40-year-old is rethinking her lifelong support for the party. She has been without steady work for two years, lost her home and car and began receiving cash assistance from the state for the first time. This year, she says, “I’m willing to take a chance on something different.” Another possibility, she says, is that she won’t vote at all.

Ms. Jones is part of an unmeasured, agitated mass: unemployed Americans who don’t believe the Obama Administration and Congress have done enough to produce jobs. With elections coming up, their unease is especially troublesome for the Democrats, who control both chambers.

Welcome to my world! I have been in the same spot, since 2005. Thankfully, and very fortunately; I do not have any children to worry about. I could not imagine having kids in a economy like this.Ā  Some would say, “Well, you live in a bigger area, you should be able to find a job!” Two words: Yeah Right. šŸ™„ Bigger Area, means more people out of work and more people looking for a job.

It’s tough everywhere folks, don’t let nobody fool you.

Update: TalkLeft, A very liberal Blog says this:

Robert Gibbs and Jane Hamsher can argue all they want about ‘what’s progressive enough,’ but voters care about jobs. And the Obama Administration and Dems have simply failed on this issue. It is why they will lose the November election.

That’s very true. The Democrats and the Obama White House were hell bent on getting a healthcare bill passed, that one half of America did not understand and the other half understood and did not want; but they passed it anyhow. Meanwhile, people like me and Michelle Rena Jones are sitting here — unemployed. šŸ™„ A lot of damned good that Healthcare bill does one, if you do not have a job. I give great Kudos to “Bing Tent Democrat” for having the “Stones” to say as much.

Something tells me, that the short-lived era of “Home and Change” is officially over, the love affair and novelty of a new black President is over; and now the America people are sitting around going, “Dang, nothing has changed.” Those people will vote accordingly come November 2, 2010.

The Feckless Far-Right: Exhibit F for Foot-in-Mouth

I am not going to be like the left and call Dr. Laura a racist. I do not know that to be a fact. However, I will say that she has a good knack for putting her foot in her mouth. It appears that Dr. Laura was trying to make a point; and in the process of making that point, used some language that is not acceptable in this ā€œPolitically Correctā€ World we live in today.

Via the Left’s Resident Carnival Barker:

Transcript:

SCHLESSINGER: Jade, welcome to the program.

CALLER: Hi, Dr. Laura.

SCHLESSINGER: Hi.

CALLER: I’m having an issue with my husband where I’m starting to grow very resentful of him. I’m black, and he’s white. We’ve been around some of his friends and family members who start making racist comments as if I’m not there or if I’m not black. And my husband ignores those comments, and it hurts my feelings. And he acts like —

SCHLESSINGER: Well, can you give me an example of a racist comment? ‘Cause sometimes people are hypersensitive. So tell me what’s — give me two good examples of racist comments.

CALLER: OK. Last night — good example — we had a neighbor come over, and this neighbor — when every time he comes over, it’s always a black comment. It’s, "Oh, well, how do you black people like doing this?" And, "Do black people really like doing that?" And for a long time, I would ignore it. But last night, I got to the point where it —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t think that’s racist.

CALLER: Well, the stereotype —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t think that’s racist. No, I think that —

CALLER: [unintelligible]

SCHLESSINGER: No, no, no. I think that’s — well, listen, without giving much thought, a lot of blacks voted for Obama simply ’cause he was half-black. Didn’t matter what he was gonna do in office, it was a black thing. You gotta know that. That’s not a surprise. Not everything that somebody says — we had friends over the other day; we got about 35 people here — the guys who were gonna start playing basketball. I was going to go out and play basketball. My bodyguard and my dear friend is a black man. And I said, "White men can’t jump; I want you on my team." That was racist? That was funny.

CALLER: How about the N-word? So, the N-word’s been thrown around —

SCHLESSINGER: Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO, listen to a black comic, and all you hear is nigger, nigger, nigger.

CALLER: That isn’t —

SCHLESSINGER: I don’t get it. If anybody without enough melanin says it, it’s a horrible thing; but when black people say it, it’s affectionate. It’s very confusing. Don’t hang up, I want to talk to you some more. Don’t go away.

I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger. I’ll be right back.

and after the break, it got worse…:

SCHLESSINGER: I’m Dr. Laura Schlessinger, talking to Jade. What did you think about during the break, by the way?

CALLER: I was a little caught back by the N-word that you spewed out, I have to be honest with you. But my point is, race relations —

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, then I guess you don’t watch HBO or listen to any black comedians.

CALLER: But that doesn’t make it right. I mean, race is a [unintelligible] —

SCHLESSINGER: My dear, my dear —

CALLER: — since Obama’s been in office —

SCHLESSINGER: — the point I’m trying to make —

CALLER: — racism has come to another level that’s unacceptable.

SCHLESSINGER: Yeah. We’ve got a black man as president, and we have more complaining about racism than ever. I mean, I think that’s hilarious.

CALLER: But I think, honestly, because there’s more white people afraid of a black man taking over the nation.

SCHLESSINGER: They’re afraid.

CALLER: If you want to be honest about it [unintelligible]

SCHLESSINGER: Dear, they voted him in. Only 12 percent of the population’s black. Whites voted him in.

CALLER: It was the younger generation that did it. It wasn’t the older white people who did it.

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, OK.

CALLER: It was the younger generation —

SCHLESSINGER: All right. All right.

CALLER: — that did it.

SCHLESSINGER: Chip on your shoulder. I can’t do much about that.

CALLER: It’s not like that.

SCHLESSINGER: Yeah. I think you have too much sensitivity —

CALLER: So it’s OK to say "nigger"?

SCHLESSINGER: — and not enough sense of humor.

CALLER: It’s OK to say that word?

SCHLESSINGER: It depends how it’s said.

CALLER: Is it OK to say that word? Is it ever OK to say that word?

SCHLESSINGER: It’s — it depends how it’s said. Black guys talking to each other seem to think it’s OK.

CALLER: But you’re not black. They’re not black. My husband is white.

SCHLESSINGER: Oh, I see. So, a word is restricted to race. Got it. Can’t do much about that.

CALLER: I can’t believe someone like you is on the radio spewing out the "nigger" word, and I hope everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: I didn’t spew out the "nigger" word.

CALLER: You said, "Nigger, nigger, nigger."

SCHLESSINGER: Right, I said that’s what you hear.

CALLER: Everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: Yes, they did.

CALLER: I hope everybody heard it.

SCHLESSINGER: They did, and I’ll say it again —

CALLER: So what makes it OK for you to say the word?

SCHLESSINGER: — nigger, nigger, nigger is what you hear on HB —

CALLER: So what makes it —

SCHLESSINGER: Why don’t you let me finish a sentence?

CALLER: OK.

SCHLESSINGER: Don’t take things out of context. Don’t double N — NAACP me. Tape the —

CALLER: I know what the NAACP —

SCHLESSINGER: Leave them in context.

CALLER: I know what the N-word means and I know it came from a white person. And I know the white person made it bad.

SCHLESSINGER: All right. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Can’t have this argument. You know what? If you’re that hypersensitive about color and don’t have a sense of humor, don’t marry out of your race. If you’re going to marry out of your race, people are going to say, "OK, what do blacks think? What do whites think? What do Jews think? What do Catholics think?" Of course there isn’t a one-think per se. But in general there’s "think."

And what I just heard from Jade is a lot of what I hear from black-think — and it’s really distressing [sic] and disturbing. And to put it in its context, she said the N-word, and I said, on HBO, listening to black comics, you hear "nigger, nigger, nigger." I didn’t call anybody a nigger. Nice try, Jade. Actually, sucky try.

Need a sense of humor, sense of humor — and answer the question. When somebody says, "What do blacks think?" say, "This is what I think. This is what I read that if you take a poll the majority of blacks think this." Answer the question and discuss the issue. It’s like we can’t discuss anything without saying there’s -isms?

We have to be able to discuss these things. We’re people — goodness gracious me. Ah — hypersensitivity, OK, which is being bred by black activists. I really thought that once we had a black president, the attempt to demonize whites hating blacks would stop, but it seems to have grown, and I don’t get it. Yes, I do. It’s all about power. I do get it. It’s all about power and that’s sad because what should be in power is not power or righteousness to do good — that should be the greatest power.

For the record, she has apologized:

I talk every day about doing the right thing.  And yesterday, I did the wrong thing.

I didn’t intend to hurt people, but I did.  And that makes it the wrong thing to have done.

I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the ā€œnā€ word all the way out – more than one time.  And that was wrong.  I’ll say it again – that was wrong.

She goes on to say:

I ended up, I’m sure, with many of you losing the point I was trying to make, because you were shocked by the fact that I said the word.  I, myself, realized I had made a horrible mistake, and was so upset I could not finish the show.  I pulled myself off the air at the end of the hour.  I had to finish the hour, because 20 minutes of dead air doesn’t work.  I am very sorry.  And it just won’t happen again.

[….]

One last note –
The caller in question (her name is Jade), called for help from me, and didn’t get it, because we got embroiled in the ā€œnā€ word, and I’m really sorry about that, because I’m here for only one reason and that’s to be helpful, so I hope Jade or somebody who knows her is listening, and hope she will call me back and I will try my best to be helpful, which is what she wanted from me in the first place and what she did not get.

I am willing to take that at face value. I do not know this woman personally; I will not call her something that I do not know her to be personally. She blew it, she admitted that. However, the racist baiting twits on the left will never be happy, until Dr. Laura and those who believe like her are off of the air for good.

The Classless Left: Exhibit I for Insensitivity

Here is the official position of 9/11 by the liberal left in 2010: (H/T to Sister Toldjah via Infidels are Cool)

Given that they [Muslims] are such a small minority in this nation, it is odd that so many of our fellow citizens see them as such a threat. Yes, the 9/11 attacks were horrific, but they were more about optics than actual harm. The economy was already taking a hit before the Twin Towers fell. The reaction of the nation to seeing two major buildings in New York fall on T.V. has boosted the attack out of proportion. While the loss of even a single life is to be condemned and the devastation these deaths caused the families of those killed, more than this number of teens are killed every year in car crashes. These are also tragic losses but we do not make the kind of high profile issue of it that the 9/11 attacks are. – Source: DailyKOS

Wow. Just Wow. 😯

I wonder if President Obama agrees with that? It is to wonder.

WTF?!?!?: Council Worker fired for mentioning God

As a rule, I usually do not link to stories presented by WND. But this here; is a load of crap! 😔  — (H/T to WorldNetDaily)

There is widespread shock following the news that Duke Amachree has lost his case, having been sacked for mentioning God in the workplace. An employment tribunal has ruled that it was reasonable for Wandsworth Council to dismiss Duke, after he was sacked for gross misconduct for suggesting to a client with an incurable illness not to give up hope and to try putting her faith in God. The tribunal also found that the Council had not discriminated against Mr Amachree on the basis of his religion. In addition, the tribunal took the view that Duke had breached confidentiality by publicizing his case. The decision has come as a huge surprise to Duke and to his legal team.

Duke, a father of two and committed Christian, had worked for Wandsworth Council for 18 years and had an unblemished record. Yet, as a result of the comments he made in one 45 minute housing interview, he was subject to 6 months of investigations and three interviews with the Council. His solicitor was even told by the Council that saying ā€œGod blessā€ to a client would require an investigation if the client complained.

Gross misconduct usually covers such behaviour as violence in the workplace, theft or other such serious conduct. Yet the client herself expressly stated that she did not want Duke to be dismissed for what he had said and Duke had never been told that such small talk in a housing interview was prohibited. The Council have always accepted that Duke’s motivation in speaking to the client was purely one of compassion

via Shock decision against Council worker sacked for mentioning God – Christian Legal Centre.

It goes on to say that they are appealing the case. But, that is what this Nation is coming to. God is being taken out of the public square.

Welcome to Obama’s America.

Remember this come November 2, 2010 and in 2012.

Awesome Video: Montage of Military Reunions

(H/T to The Jawa Report)

I, as a libertarian-type of “Right of Center,” believe that any politician, who even has the remote thought of starting a war; ought to be strapped to a chair and FORCED to watch this video. (I’m talking to YOU Bill Kristol and John and Norman Podhartz!…..and any other damn Wilsonian Conservative out there!)

UPDATED: The Classless Left: Exhibit D for Desperation – Liberal Bloggers say the idea is stupid

These people are so damned desperate, it is almost laughable:

Last summer, Democrats argued that the Tea Party movement was the astroturf creation of corporate groups. Now that the grass-roots conservative resurgence has emerged as a clear force on the right, the left is making a different case: That tea parties are simply the enemy.

Stay Classy Liberals! (yeah right....)

To that end, the Agenda Project, a new, progressive group with roots in New York’s fundraising scene and a goal of strengthening the progressive movement, has launched the “F.*.c.k. Tea project,” which is aimed, the group’s founder Erica Payne wrote in an e-mail this morning, “to dismiss the Tea Party and promote the progressive cause.”

“”We will be launching new products in the next several months to help people all over the country F*ck Tea,” Payne told POLITICO. “Products like a Glenn Beck Bowl Buddy (Beck B Scrubbin) and others are perfect holiday gifts or just a great way to say, ‘I love you and our country’ to your spouse, friend or family.”

Payne, a veteran consultant to progressive groups, is a co-founder of the Democracy Alliance, the low-profile group of liberal mega-donors who helped build the Center for American Progress and other new organizations that grew in the Bush years.

The new project, so far, features merchandise, polling statistics aimed to paint Tea Party members as ignorant, and a mocking video.

Update: Here is their little classless video. Complete with an cute little “F You” Song…. (NSFW!) (H/T to Wake Up America)

Ah yes, what a way to show class and diversity, than to market a t-shirt the basically slams, mocks and says “FUCK YOU!” to the good majority of America. WOW. 😯 😮  The chutzpah there is outstanding. What these mental midgets seem to forget is that Conservatives, “Right of Center’s” and classic liberals, like me; are in fact, Americans too — and when you say, “FUCK YOU!” to people like me, you alienate people — like me.

Having said that, it’s time to fight fire…..with fire:

The Feckless Far-Right: Exhibit C for Collectivism

Here is another example of why I distance myself from the Christian Far-Right in this Country.

A person by the name of Bryan Fischer over at a Blog named Focal Point at the American Family Association writes the following:

Permits should not be granted to build even one more mosque in the United States of America, let alone the monstrosity planned for Ground Zero. This is for one simple reason: each Islamic mosque is dedicated to the overthrow of the American government.

Each one is a potential jihadist recruitment and training center, and determined to implement the ā€œGrand Jihadā€ of which Andy McCarthy has written.

Here is the strategy, in their own words, in the words of ā€œAn Explanatory Memorandumā€ circulated by the Muslim Brotherhood in 1991 which outlines ā€œthe General Strategic Goalā€ for the Islamic movement ā€œin North America.ā€

He proceeds to quote the following:

Read it and shudder:

Muslims ā€œmust understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ā€˜sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions…It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny…ā€ (emphasis mine)

Here is where Mr. Fischer goes astray; he is quoting from The Muslim Brotherhood, A Muslim extremist group, who has been banned in other Muslim Countries. What he is doing here, is something that is common in Far-Right, Conservative Christian circles and that is the use of collectivism; assuming that ALL Muslims believe exactly the way that the Muslim Brotherhood believes. The question is, does the Muslim Brotherhood speak for all Muslims? The Muslim Brotherhood might believe that they do; but the question is, do they actually speak for the entire Muslim Community?Ā  Some would say that Fischer is a bigot, I will not assume that, I do not know Mr. Fischer’s heart. But, I will say that the attitude that this man is portraying here is the same attitude that was displayed towards the black race in the south during the Jim Crow era.

Fischer continues:

Because of this subversive ideology, Muslims cannot claim religious freedom protections under the First Amendment. They are currently using First Amendment freedoms to make plans to destroy the First Amendment altogether. There is no such thing as freedom of religion in Islam, and it is sheer and utter folly for Americans to delude themselves into thinking otherwise.

Ask the Hutaree Christian militia how much good it did them to plaster Bible verses all over their website while plotting attacks against government officials. They are currently pondering the limits of the First Amendment, as they should, from the inside of a jail cell. The First Amendment cannot be used as a cloak for subversive activity.

Again, Mr. Fischer is assuming that all Muslims agree with the Muslim Brotherhood, which again is a faulty reasoning.

Another point I would like to make here. It is a point that I am sure that Mr. Fischer most likely did not think about. The idea of the United States Government banning the new construction of Religious building is not a smart one. The reasoning is this; that whole idea can be a two-edged sword. The same United States Government that would tell Muslims that they could not build Mosques —- is the same Government that could suddenly decide that new Churches should not be built either. Do you see where I am going with this? The less that the United States Government gets involved with the Religious affairs of America, the better. We have that first amendment for a reason; and I, as a Fundamentalist Baptist Christian, would prefer if it stayed that way!

This whole idea, that we have to treat Muslims different than any other religion is flawed on it’s face. Yes, I know that Islamic terrorism is an issue. If and when the Government finds these people, we should arrest them. But it is the Muslim community’s job to insure that extremism is rooted out of it’s ranks. Not the United States Government’s.

If we being to allow the Government to exercise any sort of control over ANY aspect of ANY religion at all, we will be putting ourselves unto a slippery slope that we will never be able to reverse.

UPDATED: Photo of the Day

This comes via the USO – Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter:

President George W. Bush Greeting the troops at Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport earlier today

Allow me this space to write a few words…. I will be the first to say that I did not always agree with President George W. Bush on policy. But I will say this; I did always know, just right where he stood, on all policy matters. For all of his faults while he was in office; the man did one thing right and that was the decision to sacrifice his Presidency for the war on terror. President Bush knew the stakes and knew the he would most likely become a lame duck President. However, that did not bother him and he did what he had to do, to defend this great nation of ours.

Like him or not….President Bush was and still is a leader, he loved our Military and was willing to take the heat of criticism from the left, for the many deaths of our Military’s officers during the Iraqi war.

I may not have voted for him, but I do and will always respect him.

Update: Memeornadum Thread

The Classless Left: Exhibit D for Death Wish

It seems that the liberal left just cannot get over its urges to engage into classless behavior.

As you all know, Senator Ted Stevens died in a plane crash yesterday. Well, leave it to the classless left to use a death of a Republican Senator to wish death on a Conservative Republican like…… you guessed it, Sarah Palin: (H/T The Politico)

Palin-Death-Wish[1]

Not to be outdone, Natch Greyes, a staffer for Democratic Rep. and Senate hopeful Paul Hodes tweeted the following on July 21st:

Palin-Death-Natch[1]

Now before any of you on the left say, ā€œWell, the right does it too!ā€ To that I say, ā€œYep, and when they do, I report it here.ā€ Perfect example of which can be found here. Not only this; but there is this point too — I am not a Sarah Palin fan, at all. But there is just no call for this sort of hatemongering between the Parties. I mean, my God, are we all children or are we adults here?

I really think some people need to grow up and act their ages, instead of their shoe sizes.

Update: Oops! In my haste to get this Published, I forgot to mention that the N.H. GOP has condemned these remarks:

CONCORD – The New Hampshire Republican State Committee today denounced Democrat NH House candidate Keith Halloran’s public death wish for former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The Party also called on Governor John Lynch and Congressional Candidate Ann McLane Kuster to personally denounce his hateful remarks and call for him to apologize to the Palin family.

In a Facebook post yesterday regarding the tragic plane crash that killed former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, Halloran wrote, ā€œJust wish Sarah and Levy [sic] were on board.Levi Johnston is the father of Governor Palin’s grandson (RedHampshire, 8/11).

ā€œMr. Halloran’s outrageous comments are a new low, even by the standards of the New Hampshire Democrat Party,” said NHGOP Communications Director Ryan Williams. “His publicly stated death wish for Governor Palin and her family is abhorrent, and has no place in our public discourse. Governor Lynch and Ann McLane Kuster need to immediately denounce Mr. Halloran’s hateful remarks and demand that he personally apologize to the Palin family.

The Democrat Party needs to take a stand here and tell this guy to cool it or else.

Harry Reid scolds Hispanics that stray from the reservation

This is unreal:

The Video, which comes via John McCormack over at the Weekly Standard:

For the record, he did say:

I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican.Ā  ā€˜Kay?Ā  Do I need to say more?

Ed Morrissey over at HotAir adds the following:

I have some advice for Senator Reid.Ā  If he wants to find out how someone of Hispanic heritage can be a Republican, he can call Brian Sandoval in Nevada.Ā  Reid should be able to recognize Sandoval, because he’s currently beating Reid’s son Rory like a drum in the polls for the gubernatorial race (via Karl in the Green Room).Ā  Small wonder Rory has stopped using his dad’s name in his campaign advertising.

At first, when I saw this clip, I resisted posting it. Because I was kind of worried that this might be another Sharrod moment. However, after thinking about it. This is exactly how Democrats think. I have heard the same statements made by blacks, about blacks who decide that the Democratic Party is just not for them and runs against their Conservative Christian values. They are called uncle tom’s, house negro’s and so forth. That is, what is called, ā€œthe plantation mentality,ā€ and when you stray off of that plantation, you get scolded by the plantation boss. That is because the Democratic Party and Liberals in general, do not what you to think for yourself. The Democratic Party and the Liberals want to do your thinking for you. They want to be the ones to decide what is good for you and what is not. You do not have an personality; you are just a number and a contributor to our master plan!

That is the tragic thing about the Democratic Party. It claims to the party of the people; when in reality it is nothing but the party of the Government, for the Government, and BY the Government — and the people, of who’s tax dollars pay for this Government, has no say so in what they choose to do. ā€œYou will do what you are told and you will like it!ā€ is the thought process behind these socialists. The sick and sad part is this; many hard working, middle class Americans, (Like my Parents) fall into the trap of believing what these bastards tell them. These poor people actually believe that the Democratic Party is on their side. When in all honesty, these people do not give two flips about the American people. They just care about their socialist agenda and the people are just an means to an end. Many socialists have admitted that in the past.

We need to remember this in the coming 2010 elections here in Michigan and in the coming 2012 elections as well and vote accordingly.

Michelle Malkin, whom I do not always agree with politically, but of whom I do respect, has a great write up on this as well. Check it out!

On Last Nights Primary results

Right now on Memeornadum, the big trending thread is about the Primary results from last night.

Now I am going to be perfectly honest with you. I have about as much interest in the primary results from other states; as I would going to a Roman Catholic Seminary. After all, it is not like anyone is really paying me to sit here and analyze the political impact of a primary race in another state.

However, take heart! There is someone out there who does actually get paid; albeit by a right wing news outlet, to sit and expound upon the primary results. Ed Morrissey; of whom I happen to believe is one of the more level-headed Conservative Bloggers out there, gives his personal analysis on the primary results.

Honestly, the thing that I am focused on here; is the general election in November. That little event cannot come fast enough for Michigan.

Poor guy can’t do nothing right. If he tries to make the left happy, the right bitches; if he tries to make the right happy, the left bitches.

Whew! You couldn’t pay me enough to deal with all that.

On Ted Stevens

I have intentionally have avoided writing about this until it was confirmed.

I am sure all of you know about the passing of Ted Stevens.

I mean, what am I really supposed to say? The man is dead. Whatever happened prior to his death, really does not mean a thing now. The Government dropped its case; because of some very stupid screw ups of its very own.

The thing that ticks me off, is this morons on the left and some on the right, that feel the need to bring up and rehash the man’s supposed misdeeds. Honestly, who gives to flips what the man did? He is dead now! It really should not matter anymore.

What is known and what is the truth is this; a wife has lost her Husband. Sons and Daughters have lost their beloved Father. Grandchildren have lost their grandfather. An entire family has lost its patriarch. A life taken by tragic accident.

God Bless Him, Stevens is with the Lord. He lived a very full life, served his Country proudly. He has passed from Death unto life and is now at peace.

As everyone else on the right, that has any sort of morals has said —- May he rest in peace and my prayers are with the family.

Memeorandum Thread is here.

Why I left the Far-Right: Exhibit R for Racism

This popped into my Inbox from a friend…

I politely informed him that I did not think that it was funny.

Check out the racism imagery and how it is said that Joe Biden will become President.

But the Far-right says, “Oh, we’re not racist!”

Right……………….. šŸ™„

Watch:

Again, let me be clear. I DID NOT CREATE THIS, IT CAME FROM MY E-MAIL INBOX AND I WANTED TO EXPOSE IT!

I believe that Conservatives should STAND UP and condemn this sort of idiotic nonsense.

It is official: The Honeymoon between the liberal left and media and the White House is over

I knew this was coming…:

The White House is simmering with anger at criticism from liberals who say President Obama is more concerned with deal-making than ideological purity.

During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough.

ā€œI hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,ā€ Gibbs said. ā€œI mean, it’s crazy.ā€

The press secretary dismissed the ā€œprofessional leftā€ in terms very similar to those used by their opponents on the ideological right, saying, ā€œThey will be satisfied when we have Canadian healthcare and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon. That’s not reality.ā€

Of those who complain that Obama caved to centrists on issues such as healthcare reform, Gibbs said: ā€œThey wouldn’t be satisfied if Dennis Kucinich was president.ā€

via White House unloads anger over criticism from ‘professional left’ – TheHill.com.

Um, Cue the music….Hit it Roy!

Okay, maybe that was bit cruel. But, hey this is what happens when you elect someone based upon personality and not based on the issues. But then again, President Obama does seem to have some awfully thin skin. I do not recall Clinton griping every time someone criticized him.

Either way, it is quite humorous to watch.

Blowhole Ricky Hollywood to run for Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, Seriously

You can tell it is a slow news day when I am reporting on this idiotic crap….:

Ricky Hollywood - Not your average blowhole

Johnston will run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska — yes, the same job that propelled Sarah Palin to governor of that state (and later, the vice presidential nomination) — in a new reality project being pitched by Stone and Co.

“Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office” will center on Johnston’s newfound fame as the baby daddy to Palin’s grandson, Tripp.

Johnston will trade on that notoriety to make his run for Wasilla City Hall — when he’s not pursuing a career in Hollywood, of course.

Sarah Palin - Not your average whatever she is....

Stone and Co. are already shooting the show’s pilot and have started pitching the show to networks.

Johnston admitted that he wasn’t thrilled at first about the mayoral campaign concept, which was pitched to him by Stone’s Scott Stone and David Weintraub.

“But the more I think about it and look into it, I think there’s a possibility we can make it happen,” Johnston said of his political prospects. “It’s something that I want to do.”

Johnston already has a campaign manager, Tank Jones, to help him with the task. Wasilla’s mayoral chair isn’t actually up for election until 2012, but in the meantime, Jones said Johnston may look to run for city council.

I must ask a question; I am the only person in America right now that wishes that these two morons would just disappear and quit trying to put themselves into my face and my life, and quit trying to insert themselves into the national conservation on politics or anything else for that matter? I mean, seriously! What in the hell does this feckless bitch have to say, that any sensible America would even remotely want to hear? I mean, during the 2008 election, this woman rode in on the white horse of Conservative Christianity in the Republican Party — all the while knowing that her daughter was pregnant. She chose to try and cover it up. That is right; she lied to the American people and to the Republican Party. Now she wants us to believe that she is some sort of a leader. Please, Sarah, do not make me laugh; you cannot even lead your ownĀ  family or your children properly; and you want to lead this Nation? Give me and the rest of the American people a break here. Because quite frankly, we are just not that stupid.

Oh and those so-called “American Values” that you claim to represent? Well, one of those values Sarah, is freedom of speech. It is quite clear to me, Mrs. Palin that you do not value that right; as evidenced in this previous waste of bandwidth about you. The only type of speech that you value, is friendly speech, nothing else. If anyone dares to mock, deride, and even criticize you. You go out of your way to try and destroy them. You did this in Alaska many times and was called out for it by many people; including those within your own party in Alaska.

So, to you Mrs. Palin I say; please, just go away. Because quite frankly at this point, you are nothing more than a funny minstrel show; a side show, a train wreck waiting to happen. Only reason people even look at you is because like a train wreck, once you see it, you can never look away. Also, please, do not delude yourself to believe that anyone in Conservatism actually takes anything you say, with any sort of seriousness. I mean, the only thing most Conservative men find you useful for is for a object to look at during masturbation or something similar. You are nothing more anymore in Conservatism than a pin up girl.

…and God knows at this point, the Republican Party and Conservatism needs something more than a pin up girl. We need serious leadership, and not some rock star pin up girl who believes that she is entitled to be President, because she is a woman.

Quote of the Day

More important, what critics of Mrs. Obama have forgotten is that style matters for women in high-profile positions, not just for the pageantry and the symbolism of it, but also for the lessons it can impart. Perhaps there was nothing to be learned from Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton’s $2,000 Oscar de la Renta pantsuits, because they didn’t have much invested in the way they looked. But critics of Mrs. Obama fail to see the powerful message of self-possession that her appearance carries for millions of young women, especially African-American women. Style and the care you put into how you present yourself to the world are not just frivolous endeavors, they are powerful tools of communication. Mrs. Obama uses her own image and appearance to connect with other women and to teach them how to take care of themselves, how to improve their lives. That look is not expensive; it’s priceless.

Video: Finally: Sarah Palin gets confronted by real Americans Update: Palin Responds, Beclowns herself as usual

I have written on here before that I was no Sarah Palin fan. I never was, I thought she was a two-bit hypocrite; and I still do.

It seems that a real American has finally stood up to this feckless bitch and told her what Americans really think about her.

The Video:

Transcript of the Video:

Palin: like how? What’s up?

Kathleen: You swore on your precious Bible that you would uphold the interests of this state, and then when cash was waved in front of your face, you quit.

Palin: OH, you WANTED me to be your governor!Ā  I’m honored! Thank you!

Kathleen: I wanted you to honor your responsibilities. That is what I wanted.Ā  I wanted you to be part of the political process instead of becoming a celebrity so that you could (inaudible).Ā And if that’s the best you could do, then good for you. If that’s the best you could do.

Palin: Here’s the deal. Here’s the deal. (inaudible) That’s what I’m out there fightin’ for Americans to be able to have a Constitution protected so that we can have free speech…And ALSO there…

Kathleen: In what way are you fighting for that?

Palin: Oh my goodness!

Kathleen: In what way?

Palin: To elect candidates who understand the Constitution, to protect our military interests so that we can keep on fightin’ forĀ our constitution that will protect some of the freedoms that evidently are important to you too.

Kathleen: By using your celebrity status, certainly not by political status.

Palin Daughter: How is she a celebrity? That’s my question.

Palin: I’m honored!Ā  No, she thinks I’m a celebrity!

Palin Daughter: That’s funny that you think she is.

Kathleen: Well, you’re certainly not representing the state of Alaska any longer…even though…

Palin Daughter: She’s representing United States?

Kathleen: Yes, I know. You belong to America now, and that suits me just fine. Yeah.

Palin: What do you do here?

Kathleen: I’mĀ a teacher

Palin: Oh. (Eye roll and protracted grimace)

Palin Daughter: Oh.

Kathleen: I also have a few other jobs. I’m married to a commercial fisherman.Ā  And so I fish.

Palin: Oh that’s cool.Ā  So am I!Ā  I married to-we probably have a lot in common!

Kathleen: Yeah. You know, I think that we do.

Palin: Hi! (waves to camera) Are we on video?

Kathleen: Too bad. I’m more of a still camera girl myself. (inaudible) I am, I am…I will tell you I’m very pleased to meet you.

Palin: I’m honored to meet you, I really am. And, no we both agree on the freedom of speech and the-

Kathleen: Yes we do.

Palin: you know – the protection of that. So, um, no I and, you know… best of everything to you too and Yeah.

Kathleen: Thank you for coming over.

Palin: Well, okay. It’s nice to meet you anyway.

The Story Via the Huffington Post:

Kathleen was motivated by the fact Palin was using the very place where her family makes a living to fortify the Palin personality cult — pretending to do the very thing they worked so hard to sustain. Initially, Kathleen just wanted to waste a little of the camera crew’s time, since Palin wasted so much of her time purporting to represent Alaska’s interests.

She didn’t imagine Palin would be so easy to draw out.

Saturday morning, Billy Sullivan helped Kathleen tape the banner up on his place of business at the top of the boat ramp. Then here she came. Sarah.

She couldn’t just walk by. Only a few fishermen and tourists would have seen the banner, but Sarah had to stop and protest. I spoke with Kathleen. She said she wanted Palin to know how she felt, but never dreamed she’d get the chance to say to her face, “You’re not a leader, you’re a climber!” Early in the conversation, Sarah actually winked at Kathleen in what seemed to be a case of eyelid Tourette’s Syndrome.

At one point, a Palin daughter chanted, “You’re just jealous”. Kathleen told Sarah she was disappointed that she dropped her responsibility to the state to became a celebrity. Palin said incredulously, “I’m honored. No, she thinks I’m a celebrity!” Really? So the camera crew wasn’t an indicator? How many times do you have to be on magazine covers to gain celebrity status? Something about camping with Kate Plus Eight in rain slickers seems, well, a little celebrity.

Billy Sullivan caught much of the interchange on his cell phone camera. The back of her security guard’s head and Todd Palin attempted to block Billy’s view, continually rotating like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. What were they afraid of? I guess that’s what happens when you’re filming a “celebrity”. He was even told by one of the Palin daughters, “You’re an A-hole”. Charming family values.

I asked both Billy and Kathleen which Palin daughter said what. Neither knew. They don’t have televisions and aren’t interested in Palin’s personal life and dramas.

In what has become typical tragic irony, Sarah initially claimed to support Kathleen’s First Amendment Rights. But as soon as Billy Sullivan walked toward the dock, one of Palin’s entourage tore down the sign to great applause from her group.

Todd Palin approached Billy (who owns a business called Dockside Fish and buys halibut on that dock) and asked him to get out of the Discovery crew’s shot. “You just can’t get enough of her, can you?” he asked. An Alaska State Trooper told Billy he should call the Homer Police Department and report the trespassing and destruction of property.

What the Palin folks don’t seem to understand is simple; if Fred Phelps gets to hold his hateful signs up at military funerals, Billy should be able to put Kathleen’s “WORST GOVERNOR EVER” banner on his building and not have a Palin goon tear it down.

The First Amendment only matters when you say or write something someone else doesn’t like.

For someone who doesn’t hold elected office and denies being a celebrity, Sarah Palin may want to get a “Constitutional Handler”.

You know see why I did not vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin; I could not in good conscience, vote for someone like that, ever.

Update: Little Miss Christian Charlatan Responds: (H/T to AllahPundit is obvious swooning over this feckless Bitch’s stupidity…)

The LSM has now decided to use this brief encounter for another one of their spin operations. They claim I – wait for it – ā€œappear to roll my eyesā€ when the lady tells me she’s a teacher. Yes, it’s come to this: the media is now trying to turn my eyebrow movements into story lines. (Maybe that’s why Botox is all the rage – if you can’t move your eyebrows, your ā€œeye rollingā€ can’t be misinterpreted!) If they had checked their facts first, they would have known that I come from a family of teachers; my grandparents were teachers, my father was a teacher, my brother is a teacher, my sister works in Special Needs classrooms, my aunt is a school nurse, my mom worked as a school secretary for much of her professional life, we all volunteer in classrooms, etc., etc., etc. Given that family history, how likely is it that I would ā€œroll my eyesā€ at someone telling me that they too work in that honorable profession? Stay classy, LSM.

…and as usual, the stupid bitch does not get why the liberals are on her ass. The reason is; because of this right here:

Freedom of Speech, not in Sarah Palin's World, only when it is friendly speech. Hey Sarah, what about that Constitution you claim to want to defend? Stupid Bitch......

Nuff Said…

Update #2: I know someone is going to mention this; so I will get it out of the way. I realize you might be reading this and noticing the Palin ads. I can do something to remove them. But, I would cut into my revenue. So, I won’t block Newsmax. You can click and vote no, and I will get paid still. šŸ˜€ šŸ˜›

Update #3: Some on the far right were trying to say that this woman was not even teacher. Well, one of their own corrects them. Don’t expect any correction out this idiot though. This is the same guy who likes to link to White Nationalist websites.

Why do Christians do stupid stuff like this?

Good Lord. šŸ™„

Pastor Donald Crosby - Bible-Thumping Moron at large

Warner Robins police say they arrested Pastor Donald Crosby Monday morning as he and a group of supporters protested Warner Robins High School’s “Demon” nickname and mascot.

Warner Robins police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh says 36-year-old Crosby was arrested after police told him he didn’t have a picketing permit, as required by the city.

Crosby and the group set up the protest outside the school on the opening day of classes because of their opposition to the school’s Demon team nickname.

The pastor says his son attends the school and he doesn’t want him exposed to the name’s evil connotations.

Meanwhile family members are mourning the passing of their own, who was a Mennonite Medical Missionary, who was killed in Afghanistan:

AKRON, Pa. (AP) — A Mennonite international aid group based in central Pennsylvania says a medical worker gunned down in Afghanistan is only the third person killed in its 90-year history.

Representative John Williamson of the Mennonite Central Committee describes 40-year-old Lancaster, Pa., resident Glen Lapp as a ā€œvery kind, loving, respectful person.ā€

Williamson says Lapp was due to finish a two-year assignment in Afghanistan in October.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the Thursday shooting deaths of Lapp and nine other volunteers, saying the workers were trying to convert Muslims to Christianity.

But Williamson says any claims that Lapp’s group was proselytizing in the region are ā€œrubbish.ā€

Lapp was working with a charity that was providing eye care and other medical services in the country.

I ask you, which one of these two sounds more like an actual Christian to you? A man who gave his life, so he could help others; or some idiotic freak who think it’s his God-Given mandate to protest some schools Mascot?

…and they wonder why I will not attend Church anymore…

FINALLY: Dana Perino says something that I agree with

Here’s the Video via Mediaite:

Funny quote:

But where Perino defended the First Lady’s trip, she turned the tables on Dowd, saying ā€œIt must be hard to be that angry all the time about everything.ā€ Zing!

Heh… Ring-a-zing-zing indeed. šŸ˜€

Anyhow, I can’t believe it, me and Dana actually agree on something. 😯
