SANDUSKY, Ohio– Authorities in northern Ohio say a police officer died after a gun battle with a suspect, who was seriously wounded.The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says Sandusky police Officer Andrew Dunn died after the shooting early Saturday.The sheriff’s office says 50-year-old Kevin Randleman was riding a bicycle when Dunn stopped him. Authorities did not immediately explain why Dunn stopped Randleman or what prompted the shootings.Authorities say Dunn was shot multiple times and died at a nearby hospital. Randleman was flown to a Toledo medical center for treatment. Officials did not know if he had an attorney.Officials say the 30-year-old Dunn had been with the Sandusky police for about three years and was married with two young children.No charges have been filed. The sheriff’s office is investigating.

I’m sure that Lew Rockwell will figure out some way or another to place the blame on the cop. That does seem to be Rockwell’s modus operandi; any police officer upholding the rule of law is a operative of the state and therefore the use of lethal force on said person is justified. Which to normal, sane, rational, thinking Americans and yes, even Conservatives — like myself — that is insanity and should be grounds to have said person put in an insane asylum.
Which is why I do not align myself with libertarians of his stripe. That sort of anarchist mentality is borderline equal with the same mentality of an Al-Qaeda terrorist. It is not a popular thing to say about someone; but the truth is the damned truth — like it or not.
