You can’t say “A fact confirmed” and “Fox News” in the same sentence without destroying your own credibility.

I do believe that if anyone has a credibility problem sir, it is you. Numbers do no lie. Fox News Channel is the highest rated news network right now. That might have something to do with the fact they do not kowtow down to your liberal President’s bull crap, nor do they play his propaganda game. Liberalism and big governess are a losing game. Freedom is popular and you, my little liberal idiot friend, are on the wrong side of that game. Period, end of discussion.

  1. Actually, the number of viewers is unrelated the credibility of a network. Would we say Wikipedia is accurate because it is one of the most viewed sites on the web?

This is an age-old fallacy called argumentum ad populum (“appeal to the people”) or argumentum ad numerum (“appeal to the number”). The majority of Americans used to believe in slavery, Jim Crow, etc., but we all agree that it still is not right.

Numbers might be helpful for winning a campaign or influencing some issue, but numbers alone do not and cannot comprise a substantive argument.

    1. Yeah, you would get all on technical on me. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

A very good argument. BTW… and without insults too. very well done.

The truth is; the reason why Fox News does so well, is because the American people know, when they are being spun by the media. Americans are much, much, more smarter than the liberal elite establishment give them credit for. When Fox News was in defense mode of Bush, their numbers were horrible and the news corp stocks were in the toliet. That changed after Fox FINALLY stopped playing cheerleader. Which happened after about 2007. Now, they are the ONLY network that dares to tell the truth about socialism, and as a result, they are doing very well.

I just could not get over the idiot leaving that comment. Liberals just plain stupid! Plain and simple. πŸ˜€

      1. I prefer to get my news elsewhere. None of the networks are all that reliable, so I opt for C-SPAN. Some would argue that debating the best network is like trying to figure out which country has the best dictator.

        1. I hear ya…. I don’t watch 247 fox news, maybe a little during the day, I catch Bill O’ at night. Sean Hannity is okay, if you can stomach the water carrying.

          1. I’ve sampled many of the commentators on all of the major news networks. In the end, many of them attempt to spoon feed opinions to viewers without giving people the background necessary to understand the issues at hand. When we read a bill, listen to our representatives speak, or watch dialog between countries of the Middle East, we get that information unadulterated. While it is helpful to hear a commentator speak of his or her opinion, it is painful to watch parts of our country fall apart due to the lack of education. I feel that we see this from all perspectives, which is being driven partly by an insistence upon strict ideology versus practicality and realism.

            1. That’s a pretty fair argument and I thank you for the comments.

This is also why I watch Bill O’Reilly, instead of Sean Hannity. Bill O. is simply an independent, who believes in traditional values. Something I can relate to. Sean Hannith is a confirmed Republican and he recites their talking points. Like MSNBC, CNN, NPR and the rest do the left’s.

I listen to Bill, because he is fair, and does not let the politico’s spin him.

Yeah, he’s a little on the arrogant side. But he is also very smart and knows the game. Why I like him. πŸ˜€

            2. Also, I feel the need to say this; the reason why this person left this comment. Is his feeling is this, “Because Fox News does not agree with my liberal politics, it is not credible.” Which is, if your are sane, rational, and yes, even thinking American; Laughable.

I posted those rating numbers, not because I happen to believe that Fox News is perfect; by no means do I believe that. They tend to defend Neo-Conservatism heavily, which I disagree with. However, I posted it because I happen to believe, again, that the American people are just not people that like to be lied to; and this President and his polices have been an abysmal failure all around —- and the American people know it. This is why they get their news from Fox News now more than any of the other networks. That is because the leftist or MSM media, went into “Hosanna, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of Socialism” after the election and the media did his bidding. Until it became a losing business decision and now, SOME, not all, are now criticizing the President. But not nearly as much as you see on Fox News.

Fox News has a Conservative bias — when did that become a crime? Fox defends Businesses, when did that become a crime? The problem is, socialists are so ate up with their hatred of anyone who dares to be a capitalist, at all. That they deride Fox as the grand evil incarnate and it is so damned silly and the people of America see right through that nonsense.

Which explains why Fox News has the ratings now. πŸ˜€
