He is loathsome in the extreme, I fully agree, Paleo. Question: do you think he and his kind of vitriolic repulsive gay type have the potential to turn lots of middle of the roaders and independents away from the Left side of things, including of course the gay marriage issue? Almost, I want to say he unintentionally helps our cause.
Oh, you know it does! I’ve gotten e-mails from moderate Democrats who think this idiot is a repulsive loon. The truth is, all of this is going to backfire in the Democrats face; right now, the G.O.P. is down, the Democratic Liberals are hot shit. I say, give it about 2 or 3 years, Obama will falter on his promises, there will be backlash and he will end in like Clinton, hated and voted out; especially if he runs for two terms. It always happens.
So, while Perez might be cool in the short term, in the long run, he’s only doing the Republicans a big ol’ favor.
