This just sucks wet socks.
Via Jeff G. over at Protein Wisdom:
Dear Jeff,
As you know, last September Pajamas Media began a new initiative in Internet television called Pajamas TV. When we started with our RNC coverage from Minneapolis, we noted that we would be in a Beta Phase through the first quarter of 2009. In the last few months we have strengthened the PJTV lineup with shows covering Media Bias, Education Bias, Middle East Update, Sharia and Jihad, Powerline Report, Ask Dr. Helen, Hugh News, Poliwood, Conservatism 2.0, Economy and Finance, National Security, and others.
As the end of the first quarter approaches and we near the production phase of Pajamas TV, we will continue to build our emphasis in this area. As a result we have decided to wind down the Pajamas Media Blogger and advertising network effective March 31, 2009. The PJM portal and the XPressBlogs will continue as is.
Since our ad relationship continues for the time being, you should note that in order to be paid for the 1st quarter of 2009, you must leave the current Pajamas ads up until 12:01AM April 1. We will be sending you information in mid-March on removing the ads. As of April 1, 2009, you will be free to arrange syndication or re-sale deals.
We thank you very much for participating during the formative years of Pajamas Media and we look forward to working with you in other ways. One of those is, of course, Pajamas TV. If you have any ideas in that regard, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our best wishes in the new year and again our deepest gratitude for your participation in Pajamas Media.
Sincerely,
Roger L. Simon
CEO, Pajamas Media
Jeff is not too amused, neither are many other Bloggers who were using this service as a source of income. I asked about it, they never responded, what I did not know, is the fact that you had to sign a idiotic contract saying that you would only use them for an ad service. Which I happen to think is extremely stupid. Why limit your customers income? That is quite retarded if you ask me.
Exclusivity has a downside, I hate to say it, but BlogAds is doing the same thing, you have to be invited on to use it, and in this economic downturn, elitism is not an opinion, you either have to expand your income potential or you will dry up rather quickly. Not only this, but quite frankly, the Political winds have shifted, big time. Thanks to the beedy-eyed idiot that just want back to Texas, Conservatism has lost its appeal. This is what happens when you base a business model on a political trend. This is why all those souvenir shops in Crawford, Texas, went belly up after the Iraq War turned ugly.
So, while I feel bad for all these people that have lost an income source, I cannot honestly say that I am surprised.

Seems Senator Tom Daschle has got issues. Big Issues. 😮
ABC News has learned that the nomination of former Senator Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., to be President Obama’s secretary of health and human services has hit a traffic snarl on its way through the Senate Finance Committee.
The controversy deals with a car and driver lent to Daschle by a wealthy Democratic friend — a chauffeur service the former senator used for years without declaring it on his taxes.
It remains an open question as to whether this is a “speed bump,” as a Democratic Senate ally of Daschle put it, or something more damaging.
I saw this last night and I thought, “Okay, no big deal.” But then I read about this:
Via Jack Tapper:
ABC News has obtained the Senate Finance Committee Report on Tom Daschle’s nomination to be Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, which indicates that Daschle’s tax problems were even more substantial than earlier reported.
The report indicates that Daschle’s failure to pay more than $101,000 taxes on the car and driver a wealthy friend let him use from 2005 through 2007 is not the only tax issue the former Senate Majority Leader has been dealing with since his December nomination prompted a more thorough examination of his income tax returns.
Mr. Daschle also didn’t report $83,333 in consulting income in 2007.
The Senate Finance Committee Report also notes that during the vetting process, President Obama’s Transition Team “identified certain donations that did not qualify as charitable deductions because they were not paid to qualifying organizations. Daschle adjusted his contribution deductions on his amended returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007 to remove these amounts and add additional contributions.” This adjustment meant a reduction in the amount he contributed to charitable foundations of $14,963 from 2005 through 2007. With the unreported income from the use of a car service in the amounts of $73,031 in 2005, $89,129 in 2006 and $93,096 in 2007; the unreported consulting income of $83,333 in 2007; and the adjusted reductions in charitable contributions, Daschle adds a total of $353,552 in additional income and reduced donations, meaning an additional tax payment of $128,203, in addition to $11,964 in interest.
On January 2 of this year, Daschle filed amended tax returns to pay the $140,167 in unpaid taxes.
Oy Vey… Good luck in getting confirmed dude. I mean, not to sound crass, but; how the fuck can you forget to pay your damn taxes? It must be nice to have so much money that you cannot remember how much you have, so you can pay your taxes! I mean, I’ve got 43 bucks and some change (Not hope and change!) in my account, luckily for me, I’ve been out of work so damned long that I do not have to pay income taxes this yet. I even called to make damned sure too; anyhow, I’m just saying man, how can someone forget? Just does not make any damned sense.
Of course, if this blog takes off; I might have to start paying taxes on the income and register a business name and all. But I’m nowhere near that level, yet. I’m getting decent hits, but zero income. I mean, 10 bucks here, 3 bucks there. But nothing huge, yet. It takes time, I suppose.

I knew it was coming, liberals are now turning on smear machine towards Michael Steele.
As we all know, what Liberals fear, they try to smear and discredit.
Amanda Carpenter has more.
Update: Sister Toldjah has an excellent posting the counters the tripe that’s found on some of the Liberal Blogs. Excellent work! 😀
I happen to think that this is awesome. AllahPundit is not so sure.
To me the idea of Ted Nugent running for NRA President would be a welcome idea. Because to me, it is all about visibility. Whether it is liked or not, Ted Nugent is as visible as hell.
So, to me, this is a great idea.
So, in that spirit. I present the following:
Ted, Run, Please!
(H/T AllahPundit, the eternal doubter. ![]()
)
First the video of remarks by Steele:
Via The Politico:
Former Maryland Lt. Gov Michael Steele triumphed over four opponents in the race for Republican National Committee chairman Friday, giving the party its first black chairman as well as a forceful communicator at a time of political weakness.
“This is awesome,” Steele told RNC members in a victory speech. “It is with a great deal of humility and a sense of service that I accept and appreciate and thank all of you for the opportunity to serve.”
Steele emerged victorious from a lengthy, six-ballot voting process. Running against him were incumbent RNC Chair Mike Duncan, South Carolina Republican Party Chair Katon Dawson, Michigan Republican Party Chair Saul Anuzis, and former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell.
I will say it. I am glad to see that the Republican Party has elected an African-American. This will render the days of post-race racialism null and void.
…and for that, I am very glad. 😀
Maybe now some of the more Conservative Democrats, which have avoided the Republican Party because of it being perceived as a “White Man’s Party”, will come on over to the party of sanity.
One can only hope.

This is not good at all.
The United States economy shrank at its fastest pace in a quarter century from October through December, the government reported on Friday, as consumer spending and business investment collapsed, signaling more economic contraction in the months ahead.
In the broadest official accounting of the toll of the credit crisis, the government reported that gross domestic product shrank at an annual rate of 3.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008. While that was less than economists’ expectations of a 5.5 percent drop, the decline would have been much steeper — more than 5 percent — if shipments of goods had fallen as sharply as orders.
President Obama seized on the figures Friday morning, calling the contraction a “continuing disaster” for working families, and again urged Congress to pass a package of tax cuts and spending. The House, divided on party lines, passed an $819 billion stimulus plan on Wednesday, and Senate is expected to take up the measure next week.
“What we can’t do is drag our feet or delay much longer,” Mr. Obama said. “The American people expect us to act.”
The president also announced the creation of a Task Force on Middle-Class Working Families, which will seek to raise living standards of working families. It will be led by Vice President Biden.
Wall Street tumbled after the numbers were released, with the Dow Jones industrial average falling more than 100 points in midday trading. The broader Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index was down 1.5 percent.
The slide in gross domestic product — a crucial measure of economic health — is likely to continue at an alarming pace well into the summer as consumers continue to curtail spending and businesses reduce their capital investments and cut their payrolls, economists said.
In the fourth quarter, rising inventories accounted for the difference between the overall 3.8 percent contraction of the economy and a steeper 5.1 decline in final domestic sales.
“The difference between 3.8 and 5.1 percent is the inventory buildup,” Nigel Gault, chief United States economist at IHS Global Insight, said. “My only explanation is that companies could not cut production fast enough.”
With inventory accumulation gone, the economy will contract in the first quarter at more than a 5 percent annual rate, Mr. Gault said.
Employers reduced their corporate investments in computers, office equipment, machinery and other capital goods by an annualized 19.1 percent in the fourth quarter.
Trade fell, as Americans bought fewer Asian-made televisions and computers, and global demand for American goods and services ebbed. Exports in the fourth quarter declined 19.7 percent while imports dropped 15.7 percent.
Josh Bivens, an economist at the Economic Policy Institute said that the drop in exports was distressing because of their contribution to growth in recent years.
“That’s been a real key strength to the economy,” Mr. Bevins said. “They were punching above their weight for a couple of years, but they have really collapsed.”
And American consumers, who took on home equity loans and large amounts of credit card debt to finance their lifestyles earlier in the decade, curtailed their spending for a second consecutive quarter. Consumer spending, which typically accounts for two-thirds of economic growth, fell 3.5 percent in the quarter, after decreasing 3.8 percent in the third quarter.
With no end in sight to the downturn, the stark numbers on Friday are likely to intensify the debate over an enormous stimulus plan moving through Congress.
Christina D. Romer, chairwoman of President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, said the report offered more evidence that the economy continued to contract severely, and said “immediate action” was needed to shore up the financial sector and broader demand.
“Aggressive, well-designed fiscal stimulus is critical to reversing this severe decline and putting the economy on the road to recovery and improved long-run growth,” Ms. Romer said Friday in a statement.
Michael E. Feroli, a United States economist at JPMorgan Chase, said, “The fact that you’re not seeing any evidence that things are turning for the better has added quite a bit to the urgency to get things done and do something substantial.”

The downward spiral continues, the fallout from the breaking of the bubble that existed during the Bush Administration. The Bubble that was created by the Clinton Administration. Instead of listening to Ron Paul, who did have the proper correction for this mess; instead were are attempting to throw money at the problem, this will end in disaster. Ron Paul spoke about this, in a video that I posted. He also spoke with the people on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, here’s that Video: (Via Jack Hunter)
Of course, the mental midgets on “Morning Joe”, just did not get it at all. 🙄
Welcome to the massive screwing of the American people folks! Your beloved leaders have failed you, and now, we all have to suffer. 😡
I will never, ever understand why America does stupid things like this right here, ever!
The Obama administration on Friday made an emergency contribution of more than $20 million for urgent relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, a day after the United Nations launched a flash appeal for $613 million to help Palestinians recover from Israel’s three-week military operation there.
The State Department said President Barack Obama had authorized the use of $20.3 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for humanitarian assistance to the 1.4 million Palestinians in Gaza.
The money will go to U.N. agencies and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which are distributing emergency food assistance, providing medical care and temporary shelter, creating temporary employment and restoring access to electricity and potable water, the department said in a statement.
The Israeli offensive killed nearly 1,300 Palestinians, including hundreds of civilians, and caused an estimated $2 billion in damage, Palestinian officials say. The assault was launched to halt years of Hamas rocket fire on southern Israel.
You want to know where this money is going to end up? In the hands of Hamas, the very terrorist organization that was attacking Israel, in the first place. This money is supposed to be reserved for American Citizens, not for foreign countries! You know, I find it absolutely amazing that the United States of America, would support a military attack on Gaza by Israel to defeat terrorists; only to have them send aid to the very people that Israel attacked. Not only this, our government is using money that is specifically earmarked for the people of the United States of America. This is an outrage! Someone should be complaining to the high Heavens about it!
The reason this outrages me so much is this; yeah, that money might go to American agencies approved by our Government, but ultimately, it will end up right back into the hands of the Hamas terrorists.
I will never understand why America continues to prop up those they claim are terrorists.
Yes, you read that correctly…:
Samantha Power, the Harvard University professor who earned notoriety for calling Hillary Rodham Clinton a “monster” while working to elect Barack Obama president, will take a senior foreign policy job at the White House, The Associated Press has learned.
Officials familiar with the decision say Obama has tapped Power to be senior director for multilateral affairs at the National Security Council, a job that will require close contact and potential travel with Clinton, who is now secretary of state. NSC staffers often accompany the secretary of state on foreign trips.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because Power’s position, as well as that of other senior NSC positions, have not yet been announced. One official said the announcements would be made in the near future.
White House officials would not provide details of Power’s new role.
via The Associated Press: Professor who slammed Clinton will be Obama aide.
It should be noted that this woman is very highly Anti-Israel, and pro-Palestinian. Not to mention, she is a immigrant from Ireland. Could not Obama find a natural-Born American citizen to do the job? Oh, Wait, my bad; The Democratic Party is the party of immigrants, especially the illegal kind. Not to mention the fact that the Democratic Party is the party of terrorist appeasers. So, this just goes with the territory.

In Jerry Z. Muller’s “Us and Them: The Enduring Power of Ethnic Nationalism,” in Foreign Affairs, his thesis is summarized:
“Americans generally belittle the role of ethnic nationalism in politics. But … it corresponds to some enduring propensities of the human spirit. It is galvanized by modernization, and … it will drive global politics for generations to come. Once ethnic nationalism has captured the imagination of groups in a multiethnic society, ethnic disaggregation or partition is often the least bad answer.”
Disaggregation or partition, the man said.
Are we really in a post-racial America, or is our multicultural multiethnic America, too, destined for Balkanization and break-up?
I spotted this today over at HotAir. It seems that the Republican Party is feeling the pain of defeat and is taking inventory.

Now this is what I remember as a kid, the party that I admired. More of this, please.

I knew this was coming.
Since November’s election, I’ve had the remarkable opportunity to travel throughout thirty two states, share my vision for the future of our party, and listen to the advice of the nearly one hundred members who took the time to visit with me in their homes, their offices, their airports, and their coffee shops.
I’ve seen how the Clark County Republicans of Nevada are organizing online to defeat Harry Reid in 2010, as we defeated Tom Daschle in 2002.
I’ve heard how Republicans in the District of Columbia have expanded their membership simply by holding their meetings and spreading their message in communities that have long shared our values, but which have never felt welcome within our ranks.
I’ve witnessed how the hard work of Republican leadership in my home of Tennessee has given our state its first Republican General Assembly since 1869.
And I’ve met with Republicans in New England’s blue states who are ready to plant our party’s flag and prove that our coalition is broad enough, strong enough to compete everywhere and win anywhere.
But, while my travels make me confident in our party’s future, I wanted you to be first to know that I have decided to withdraw my candidacy to become your next chairman.
Thank you for your passion for our party and for the principles that make it great. I hope that you won’t hesitate to call on me as we rebuild our majority.

I sort of knew this was coming, especially after getting his butt handed to him, over at MSNBC. Plus the “Magic Negro” and other offensive crap on that CD was not too smart. Racism or any sort of perception of it, while when is attempting to serve in politics is a no-no amongst the Neo-Conservatives and the Republican Party in general; which is understandable seeing the party was the party of Anti-Slavery. This is why the Republican Party broke away from the Whig Party. Of course, the Kossaks are having a field day with it, which is not really a surprise.
I just hope the party is able to rebuild itself and is able to become strong again.
Thank God….
The Illinois Senate convicted Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich on an article of impeachment Thursday that charged him with a pattern of abusing power, prompting the governor’s immediate ouster and ending nearly two months of political spectacle in which he sought to salvage his reputation and career here and across the country.
Mr. Blagojevich, a two-term Democrat who rose from the ranks of Chicago ward politics on the strength of his charisma and family connections, is the first governor in Illinois history to be impeached.
The senators voted 59 to 0 in favor of removing him after a four-day trial; a dramatic 45-minute speech by Mr. Blagojevich in which he declared his innocence; and about two hours of deliberation. They also voted unanimously to bar him from holding public office again in Illinois.

The swan song and media blitz did not work and the wacky Gov is out. Thank God! Maybe now he will just…. go away. Although, I doubt we’ve seen this last of this meatball.

Ron Paul just telling it like it is. People call him a kook, but, you know what? He’s absolutely right.
You want to know why the Neo-Conservatives hate this man so much? Because he exposes them for the fascist, Anti-American scum that they are.
This is awesome, go give it a read:
Despite such sentiments among many economists, the stimulus plan is certain to be passed by Congress and signed by President Obama.
Which means the last chance to head off “stimulus” boondoggle is to make sure the money isn’t there to be spent. And since our debt-ridden government has no money of its own to flush away, and will have to borrow the cash, scaring off potential lenders is the best bet.
So, come on America. Say it in print, on the radio, on TV, on blogs and in advertisements. Say it loud and say it proud: If the world is dumb enough to loan more money to the U.S. government, don’t expect it to be paid back. The Americans who will be making decisions in the decades to come won’t be bound by the folly of the current crop of office-holders.
If enough of us say it, the world will listen, and cut off the tap.
If that doesn’t stop the spending spree, nothing will.
via Disloyal Opposition: Screw the stimulus — let’s scare off the lenders.
I could not have said it better myself. 😀
I wrote about this yesterday. This stupid harpy liberal twat, got her idiotic ass handed to her on Chris Matthew’s hardball yesterday. So, now she writes a rather lame,self-absorbed article on her Blog:
The most charitable explanation I can come up with for former GOP Rep. Dick Armey’s wild retro outburst at me on Wednesday’s “Hardball” is that he knows I’m a huge “Mad Men” fan, and wanted to throw me back into the sad straitened sex roles of the early 1960s, but without the afternoon cocktails or Joan Holloway’s hot dresses.
Apparently I’ve been lucky. I’ve never before had a man try to win an argument – public or private – by saying “I am so damn glad that you could never be my wife,” as Armey famously did, when he ran out of arguments about President Obama’s recovery bill. But I should have known that the guy best known for calling Barney Frank “Barney Fag” would throw me a strange curveball. As far as I can tell, it flew around and hit Armey in the face. Just like the Rush Limbaugh insults we were supposed to be debating, it showed the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the right wing political project in 2009. Judging from my email and blogosphere reaction, Armey’s attack on me was as effective as the House Republicans voting unanimously against the stimulus bill that passed the House overwhelmingly without them. (Glenn Greenwald links Armey’s crazy assault with his impotent former House minions’ latest moves very well, here.)
Like Barack Obama, I want to be magnanimous, mostly. A lot of people have asked why I wasn’t meaner in my comeback to Armey. Mainly, I felt sorry for him; he’d clearly run out of arguments, and he wasn’t raised to know how to argue with female opponents as well as male. The thing is, for guys of Armey’s generation and backward political views, once you’ve rigged the world so that women and non-white people can’t compete with you on equal terms, life is easy: You’re always up against a bunch of white guys you’ve grown up with, and you know how to win. When late in life the game changes, and you find yourself having to argue with a whole new cadre of smart, opinionated women, black people, Latinos, Asians, gays, well, it’s gotta suck.
I humbly submit, that the above is living proof of why Women, especially Liberal women, should be seen and not heard.
The truth is Dick Armey made a very valid point that this so called “Stimulus Package” is not going to work, at least, not right away; and because she could not concede this point, she resorted to acting like some uppity harpy. When backed into a corner by an obviously more intelligent debating opponent, Walsh does what most moronic liberals do; she plays the race and gender card. Which is just so typical of the identity and gender Nazi Liberal Democrats.
The way I see it, if Walsh cannot handle the heat, she ought to stay the hell out of the kitchen. Well, in her case, she should stay IN the kitchen and leave the politics to the adults, or preferably the men folk. Hey, politics is a contact sport, change your Kotex and quit your damn bitching; better yet, just stay home.
I will give him that. Here’s some funny bits from a NYT piece about the New President. Seems he has changed things a bit, perhaps it is a good thing.
Quotes:
The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.
“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”
Not touching this, not with a ten foot pole. ![]()
He reads several papers, eats breakfast with his family and helps pack his daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, off to school before making the 30-second commute downstairs — a definite perk for a man trying to balance work and family life. He eats dinner with his family, then often returns to work; aides have seen him in the Oval Office as late as 10 p.m., reading briefing papers for the next day.
“Even as he is sober about these challenges, I have never seen him happier,” Mr. Axelrod said. “The chance to be under the same roof with his kids, essentially to live over the store, to be able to see them whenever he wants, to wake up with them, have breakfast and dinner with them — that has made him a very happy man.”
Hey, at least he is engaged, which is a bit more than I can say about the previous President, who seemed to outsource everything that either he did not understand or care to understand. (Which is just an opinion of mine.) I also like to see the President happy, for all of my criticisms of this President regarding his politics; I will not criticize him for being a family man. That says much about him; yes, I know about the far-right crazies who say it is all a front and he is a terrorist and all. Those people are stupid and lame, and should be treated as such.
In the West Wing, Mr. Obama is a bit of a wanderer. When Mr. Bush wanted to see a member of his staff, the aide was summoned to the Oval Office. But Mr. Obama tends to roam the halls; one day last week, he turned up in the office of his press secretary, Robert Gibbs, who was in the unfortunate position of having his feet up on the desk when the boss walked in.
“Wow, Gibbs,” the press secretary recalls the president saying. “Just got here and you already have your feet up.” Mr. Gibbs scrambled to stand up, surprising Mr. Obama, who is not yet accustomed to having people rise when he enters a room.
This sort of stuff cracks me up. ![]()
I feel sorry for poor Gibbs. I mean, President Obama goes from being a friend and a Senator to the President of the United States; it is a bit of a adjustment.
I know, some of you Conservatives will think that I am slobbering over the guy.
Which is a bunch of crap, if you’ve cared to read this Blog at all. I criticize his politics, but I do know that Obama is normal human being, like the rest of us. For the record, I thought Bush was as well. I was not one of those Bush derangement types, I had zero against the man, I just did not agree with his polices.
Now, there are those who would criticize President Obama for his change in protocol for the White House, in regards to dress code. I am not one of those people. I think that formality amongst the Republicans and most Conservatives is overplayed a bit. The way I feel about it is this; I would much rather have a President that ditches the formality, and proceeds to lead the Country with a sobering intelligence and a calm guiding hand. Than for him to be hung up on formalities and be a total disconnected, out of touch, buffoon. You know, like the last couple Presidents?
Yeah, I know, there is some Conservatives lambasting him for having the thermostat cranked up. Well, when you have no life and live in your own little world, what exactly do you expect?

Yes, I am a “right of center”, and no, I do not listen to Rush Limbaugh. I have in the past, here and there. But to say that I am a “Dittohead”, would be crazy. This below is why:
Yes, elections have consequences. But where’s the bipartisanship, Mr. Obama? This does not have to be a divisive issue. My proposal is a genuine compromise.
Fifty-three percent of American voters voted for Barack Obama; 46% voted for John McCain, and 1% voted for wackos. Give that 1% to President Obama. Let’s say the vote was 54% to 46%. As a way to bring the country together and at the same time determine the most effective way to deal with recessions, under the Obama-Limbaugh Stimulus Plan of 2009: 54% of the $900 billion — $486 billion — will be spent on infrastructure and pork as defined by Mr. Obama and the Democrats; 46% — $414 billion — will be directed toward tax cuts, as determined by me.
If you read the whole article, you will say that Rush Limbaugh believes in the classical Neo-Conservative line of; “Protect the rich, screw the poor and middle class.” It is funny, Rush is fond of quoting Reagan; does he know that Reagan was a economic populist? This is proven in what he did for Harley Davidson.
Basically, this is why I do not like Rush Limbaugh’s show, it is basically an ego driven show; it is all about Rush, if I am going to watch or listen to a politico, I want someone who is going to seriously discuss the issues, not sit and recite party propaganda.
Besides, who the hell to take someone like Rush seriously, when he constantly dismisses his own statements with, “I am just an entertainer?”

I think Peter Hitchens nailed it when he said that in broad cultural terms, the election of Obama showed that the United States was beginning its “long, slow descent into the Third World.” Hopefully, he’s wrong, and as the freedom fighters at Young Americans for Liberty suggest, Obama is simply more of the same. However, if Hitchens is right, perhaps I could suggest that Russia, in broad cultual terms, could become an alternative to the leftist regime that holds sway in North America and Europe.
Some sad news, a start up Blog/Political site is going south…:
Sometimes there are simple stories. Culture11’s is one of them. We raised a certain amount of money last year predicated on the assumption we would raise more money last year. Then the Fall’s fall occurred and we stretched money as long and far as we could without incurring any debts. With no new money in the door the board decided the most prudent thing to do was suspend business operations. That is a way too technical way of saying that there are now 14 people who worked very hard for this company who are looking for new jobs because theirs disappeared. These people do not deserve to be out of jobs and yet they are. The economy racks up more victims.
A friend reminded me that Orson Welles once said that if you want a happy ending, it depends on where you choose to stop your story. This then isn’t the end – we are proud of the articles we commissioned, edited, and wrote, the blogs that we posted, the conversations we joined and sometimes started and the platform we created. Our hope is that we will be able to keep it alive and that we might continue to be a center for conversation, debate, and community. In that sense more than ever we turn Culture11 over to you.
This is why I would never do a start up job. There’s just always that risk involved. Just more proof that the Economy is in terrible shape.
Wish all the guys who got let go, all the best in these tough times.
I just wonder why they haven’t tried a fund raiser?

Dick Army puts the smack down on Liberal Moonbat Joan Walsh.
I love it!
It’s about damn time that someone put that Harpy Liberal BITCH in her place.
Dick Army for President in 2012! 😀
Update: The Liberals are now having a snit about Army’s comments.. Boo Hoo! Where were they when Tony Snow was insulted by the far left?
Update #2: Joan Walsh responds and of course, plays the gender and race card in her quite feckless response. Typical Democratic, when cornered, play the card. Typical Liberal. 🙄
I’m very glad to see the the Loyal Opposition doing it’s job, for a change!
With no Republican support, the House approved an $819 billion stimulus plan that will serve as the cornerstone of President Obama’s efforts to resuscitate the economy, an early victory for the new president but still a disappointment because of the lack of Republican votes.
The measure passed 244 to 188, with 11 Democrats and 177 Republicans voting against it.
The two-year economic package includes $275 billion in tax cuts and more than $550 billion in domestic spending on roads and bridges, alternative-energy development, health-care technology, unemployment assistance, and aid to states and local governments. It would also provide up to $500 per year in tax relief for most workers and more than $300 billion in aid to states for funding to help rebuild schools, provide health-care to the poor and reconstruct highways and bridges.

For the Video, Go Here, Embedded videos won’t load, from WaPo, Liberal Programmers are such idiots.
I guess President Obama was not able to convince the Republicans to get in line. So much for that Obama and Change line. I’m all for helping economy, but this damn thing is nothing more than a big waste. I mean, what in this is going to put ME back to work? None of it! I mean, because we all know that all the contracts for the road work is going to go to all MINORITY workers. Seeing the Democrats want to avoid the “White Construction workers“.
So, yeah, like Michelle said, this is all your crap sandwich Communist Liberals; YOU CAN EAT IT!
What idiots, we got an empty suit communist running the White House and communists running the damn Congress and Senate. McCarthy would be rolling over in his grave. 🙄
For the record, he’s talking about this here.
He also makes some very valid point about the Libertarians. Although, there are some legit arguments to his comments. It is quite an awesome thing to watch.
