Again, I hate asking. But, reality is reality; and I just do not have any job prospects lined up. The Business? Heh. that’s a joke anymore. I did have a job prospect, but that all fell through. Nothing I did on my part, just did not work out at all.

Oh, by the way; on Thursday, June 28′th — I will be 40 years old. 40 years old, no job, broke and living with my parents. You have any idea what that does to man? You could never even begin to imagine.

The hardest thing to do is to quit and say goodbye.

Yesterday October 31, 2011 at around 8:00 in the evening after getting a warning from the hosting service that somehow my blog causing “instability” on the server, I decided to no longer put off doing what I have should have done a long while back.  I did a backup of my configuration of my entire blog, including the SQL Database and downloaded it to my computer.  I then uninstalled the WordPress installation.  It is now officially over, after six long years; first as a left of center and then more as a right of center — I now no longer have a blog.

I am proud of what I did, what I was able to accomplish, what I stood for, and what I fought like bloody hell against.  The thing that really irks me the most; is that I was never able to post that last blog posting thanking everyone who stopped by, even if it was to mock or deride me.  It was as if the curtain was yanked down in front of me, all because some system administration decided that my blog was in the way.  However, I am not bitter about it.  Shared hosting has its difficulties and that is one of them.  I never was able to afford dedicated hosting, as I was not making that much on the blog. I never really intended it to be a business venture, just a place to vent.

….and vent I did for six long years.

For those of you who did come and read and even do the bold thing and actually comment — I thank you.  You made the blogging experience more fun, at least for me; writing is great, but talking to people is even more fun.  You did that, and I thank you.

I think one of my biggest mistakes was I actually was crafty enough to anger everyone.  One of the bad parts of being a non-conformist such as I; is that when you anger everyone, they stop coming around. Which is what happened to my site, I was branded as something that I was not, by many people.  I did not kiss up to the protected minorities enough.  I did not kiss up to the isolationists enough; I did not kiss up to the warmongers enough.  I was not nearly a partisan enough.  None of that, put together, is conducive to a successful blog.

So, what happens now?

Well, I plan to disappear back into the world of just being another person.  I plan to take a break from writing for a little while.  Oh, I might put the occasional article, but nothing like I was on a daily basis.  I am also going to try to find some gainful employment.  I might also work on losing some excess weight.  I had started on excising; riding a stationary bike.  I also plan to focus on doing the daily Christian reading of the Bible as well.  I am a Christian first, a Baptist second and the writer is somewhere down near the bottom

Update – December 31, 2011: How ironic is it, that three months after that was all written that I finally am able to get this blog back up and running. Either way, it has been a fun five years; it has not always been blast, as there were times when I wanted to stop altogether and just walk away.

Now about where does say that I am quitting and when I originally wrote that; I was going to quit. But, after some badgering from my Mother, who is my biggest fan and from some people who did not want to see me quit. I decided to fire up a new blog over on Blogspot. I stayed there and finally, I was able to start a new blog, and also a small business. Hopefully, I can make something of it! If you are a blogger or know someone who runs a small or medium sized blog, send them my way; and I will work very hard to make them happy!

It has been a long time, has it not?

Finally after being down for a very long time. I finally got this thing back up!

Only to tell you; I am moving on. Well, sort of.

Sometime tomorrow. I will be moving this blog here, to its own domain.

Political Byline served it’s purpose and became something much more than it was ever intended to be.  On October 31, 2011 Site5.com decided to be jerks and force me to shut down. So, it took it down, and thanked my friend Ryan for the hosting — and made a backup and took the site down.

I finally got some investment capital and now, I’m gonna try my hand at a hosting company. More on that one later.

So, strictly for archive purposes this monster is back up.

Stay tuned for more, but for now, it’s 11;17p.m. and waaaay past my bedtime……

20 years later and it is the same song and dance —- except for one thing, it is coming from right and not the left, as it is being reported in some quarters.

During Herman Cain’s tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, at least two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain, ultimately leaving their jobs at the trade group, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO.

The women complained of sexually suggestive behavior by Cain that made them angry and uncomfortable, the sources said, and they signed agreements with the restaurant group that gave them financial payouts to leave the association. The agreements also included language that bars the women from talking about their departures.

In a series of comments over the past 10 days, Cain and his campaign repeatedly declined to respond directly about whether he ever faced allegations of sexual harassment at the restaurant association. They have also declined to address questions about specific reporting confirming that there were financial settlements in two cases in which women leveled complaints.

POLITICO has confirmed the identities of the two female restaurant association employees who complained about Cain but, for privacy concerns, is not publishing their names.

The article, in itself, is yellow journalism at its finest.  The entire piece is anonymously sourced, no names are mentioned, and it is entirely based on report from people who would not give their names.  That alone ought to bring the article and the media outlet reporting it into question.

Fearing the message of Herman Cain who is shaking up the political landscape in Washington, Inside the Beltway media have begun to launch unsubstantiated personal attacks on Cain.

Dredging up thinly sourced allegations stemming from Mr. Cain’s tenure as the Chief Executive Officer at the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, political trade press are now casting aspersions on his character and spreading rumors that never stood up to the facts.

Since Washington establishment critics haven’t had much luck in attacking Mr. Cain’s ideas to fix a bad economy and create jobs, they are trying to attack him in any way they can.

Sadly, we’ve seen this movie played out before – a prominent Conservative targeted by liberals simply because they disagree with his politics.

Mr. Cain — and all Americans, deserve better.

Yes, we deserve better; we deserve better than a Trent Lott syndrome controlled Republican Party.  Herman Cain is being attacked by operatives within the Republican Party, who do not want to see a black Republican Presidential candidate under no circumstances.  Because of this, they are willing do anything to keep him from becoming the nominee, including dredging up false accusations against him.

The neoconservatives much to their credit have fought back since the days of William F. Buckley against this sort of racism; but it seems that the racists in the party are now controlling the show again.  Frankly, I am shocked that more people in the Conservative blogosphere are not standing up and calling this for what this really is —- racism.  I guess, the Conservatives are either scared to say anything, for fear of angering the establishment or they have personal investments in one of the forerunners, so they will not speak out.  However, I will.  I have nothing invested in any of the candidates and in fact, I find all of the other candidates lacking.  Herman Cain is the only person that really impresses me at all.

I will tell you one thing, if Herman Cain drops out of this race; The Republican Party can forget about my vote in 2012.  I will just vote a straight Libertarian Party ticket; I will not vote for a Party that terrorizes black Conservatives who wish to run for public office.  This is exactly what this little story is my friends, an act of terrorism by the Republican establishment against a black man to keep him from continuing to run for President of the United States as a Republican Candidate.

So, when I saw this article over on WorldNetDaily, I felt compelled to write something about it. It is your classic affair for WorldNetDaily, the usually the Government is out to get you and if you use twitter, the Government will come to your house and get you:

Let me begin by acknowledging that I have an admitted distrust of government. I believe there is compelling evidence to suggest that our online activity is of far more interest to Uncle Sam than might be considered healthy. Don’t you find it quite odd that foreign countries have undertaken criminal litigation against Google over privacy issues surrounding Google’s Street View while here at home we have basically taken a “no harm-no foul” position?

If that’s not enough to get your antenna up, here’s another bit of news that most people missed. In April 2010 it was announced that every 140-character snippet you have ever posted on Twitter has been committed to the U.S. Library of Congress. The Library of Congress and our friends at Twitter have agreed to archive every single tweet since its inception on March 21, 2006, when the first tweet was launched. It is now estimated that together we send a billion tweets a week – and all of it is be preserved forever.

It does not seem to me that there is such a big jump from the retention of this information to the dissection and analyzing of such data and then ultimately the utilization of what is learned.

The purpose (according to a blog post by Library of Congress communications director Matt Raymond) is to document “important tweets” as well as gather information about the way we live through the sheer masses of tweets on the site. Some find great comfort in the fact that only tweets from public Twitter feeds will be included, not those that have been set as private. Think quickly for me – are your tweets set to be private? Do you really understand that every tweet you post is intrinsically designed to be searchable? We must understand that Twitter was always designed to be searchable.

Okay, let me first state that all of the above that this man has written, is nothing new under the sun. The Government has been monitoring the internet, in some way, fashion or forum since its founding in the 1980′s. Despite what the Government says, they have been monitoring the internet for a very long time. Another thing too, what this man is describing is NOT unique to twitter at all. In fact, the United States Government has the ability to monitor ALL forums of internet traffic. They routinely read blogs, Facebook pages and yes, twitter accounts. Back in the 1990′s the United States Government used to read UseNet newsgroups as well, for illegal activity. While they still do monitor those groups, the Government has curtailed some of that sort of monitoring, as UseNet is not that big of a internet norm anymore, due to the rise of social media and web 2.0.

The point I am getting to my friends is this; if you are not breaking the law, and you use the internet, you need not be worried. No matter what Joseph Farah and his merry band of paranoid followers tell you; the United States Government is NOT going to break your door down, because you happen to be of a particular Religious or Political persuasion. Anytime the Government has ever gone after anyone, it was because they were breaking the law. Edward and Elaine Brown were breaking the law, Randy Weaver was breaking the law, David Koresh was breaking the law, as was everyone else that the Government has had to invade and arrest. Just like the idiots who are occupying various cities around the Country. They have broken the law, in various ways and because of it; the police have been forced to use force against those breaking the law. There is nothing abnormal about the local police enforcing the rule of law in a city, which is what the taxpayers pay them to do.

Let me be very clear, I am all for mistrusting, questioning, and even protesting the Government, when you feel the Government is wrong. However, I cannot sit idly by and let a man, who’s God is really the almighty dollar to allow paranoia propaganda go unchallenged. The worst thing that can happen to the America people is for them to become paranoid, to the point of losing touch with reality; and then begin arming themselves for some sort of an apocalyptic event involving the Government, that most likely will never happen. This is the Waco tragedy happened, that is how the situation with Randy Weaver happened and the list goes on.

My friends, in closing, it is okay to want to protect you and your family, it is okay to stock up just in case. It is okay to be a survivalist. However, one must use common sense and not lose sight of what is real and what is the mad ranting of an overly paranoid mind. This is how tragedies like those that are listed above happen —- for once, let us use our minds and think for ourselves. We are a much better informed people than we were, say, in the 1940′s. We have progressed; we should try to act like it, at least once and a while.

To think, a few years ago, people were wanting to drink his bathwater on the right, at one time.

If I were Rick Perry and I saw this; I’d sue Johnson for everything I could get out of him for this sort of a libel.

MacDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — The Obama administration plans to bolster the American military presence in the Persian Gulf after it withdraws the remaining troops from Iraq this year, according to officials and diplomats. That repositioning could include new combat forces in Kuwait able to respond to a collapse of security in Iraq or a military confrontation with Iran.

The plans, under discussion for months, gained new urgency after President Obama’s announcement this month that the last American soldiers would be brought home from Iraq by the end of December. Ending the eight-year war was a central pledge of his presidential campaign, but American military officers and diplomats, as well as officials of several countries in the region, worry that the withdrawal could leave instability or worse in its wake.

After unsuccessfully pressing both the Obama administration and the Iraqi government to permit as many as 20,000 American troops to remain in Iraq beyond 2011, the Pentagon is now drawing up an alternative.

In addition to negotiations over maintaining a ground combat presence in Kuwait, the United States is considering sending more naval warships through international waters in the region.

With an eye on the threat of a belligerent Iran, the administration is also seeking to expand military ties with the six nations in the Gulf Cooperation Council — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Oman. While the United States has close bilateral military relationships with each, the administration and the military are trying to foster a new “security architecture” for the Persian Gulf that would integrate air and naval patrols and missile defense.

The size of the standby American combat force to be based in Kuwait remains the subject of negotiations, with an answer expected in coming days. Officers at the Central Command headquarters here declined to discuss specifics of the proposals, but it was clear that successful deployment plans from past decades could be incorporated into plans for a post-Iraq footprint in the region.

In short, this will keep the Saudis happy and Iran at bay. Which will keep gas prices down and oil flowing out of that region. Obama might be a green energy guy and all, but he is no fool. He knows how far off all that technology is, so he’s covering his bases here.

Some on the right might rattle their chains about this one; I will not. I know what he is doing here, and it’s a very smart move. I commend him for it.

I find it quite ironic that AllahPundit over HotAir would gripe about a leftist showing her true colors and making racist statements about Herman Cain. When his own Co-Worker Tina does the same thing, only in a more nuanced fashion.

But, then again, when AllahPundit posts Videos designed to make Herman Cain look like a buffoon, I guess one can only expect so much. I really thought AP was better than that, I guess I assumed wrong.

Sad state that blogging has become anymore; why I sometimes think about quitting blogging for good.

Once again, I feel the need to point out that members of the Tea Party never did anything like this.

Occupy Madison has temporarily been denied an extension in their protesting permit because members of the movement violated “public health and safety conditions.” The group also did not properly fill out the form.

City officials cited several specific reasons for their decision. The most notable was repeated complains from a nearby hotel, which stated that protesters were “publicly masturbating” in full view of passersby.

The city also cited health violations because the group had “no restrooms,” implying that the protesters may have been defecating in public as well.

I mean, I know times are tough and all; but dang.

So do you think, I ask, that President Obama would be satisfied saying, “We did a good job, we did good stuff,” and if he’s a one-term president, “That’s the verdict of history”?

“Nope, no, absolutely not!” Daley begins, shaking his head and then growing more outraged at the thought of a single term entering the president’s mind. “I think he’d be angry! Pissed! Unhappy! Frustrated! No, if somebody said yes to that, that would be crazy.”

But the polls stink.

“Considering the debacle that he came in with, the tough choices he’s made and how there have been few, if any breaks, he says it himself all the time,” Daley says. “He doesn’t know why he’s as high as 44 percent.”

That is supposed to be a laugh line, but, indeed, the RealClearPolitics average of leading polls currently has Obama at 44.0 percent approval and 50.7 percent disapproval.

That is due to many factors, Daley says, and he starts reeling them off: trying to stimulate the economy; trying to save the auto industry; trying to increase the debt ceiling; passing health care legislation; fighting wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; and dealing with Syria, North Korea, Egypt and Iran. To name a few.

“It’s been a brutal three years,” he says. “It’s been a very, very difficult three years, an incredible three years. And we are doing all this under the overhang of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. F—k! It wasn’t like all this was happening in good times.”

Firstly, for a man who is serving in a public office, this man sure does have a very potty mouth. I mean, I know I have done the same thing here in the past and believe when I tell you, I regret that highly. However, it is one thing to be a lowly blogger as myself, but it is another to be one of the officers of the highest public office in the land and be using such vulgarity as this. It is unbecoming of the office and if I were the President, I would ask this man to resign and hire someone with a bit more respect for the office in which he serves.

Secondly and much more importantly, the man simply does not grasp the idea that the President’s economic policies have simply failed. The President’s energy polices have failed, the President’s leadership ability is that of a freshmen in college; the man simply cannot lead. Not to mention the Grand Canyon worth of political scandals that seems to be oozing from every corner of that White House. You would think that someone as intelligent as someone who is an advisor to the President would know this. Which leads me to my next question; have we set the bar this low in politics now? That someone who this close to the President of the United States is this inherently ignorant that he is so oblivious to the absolute failures of this administration?

If this is the case, I fear for the future of our Country.

Scott Olsen is the Marine Corps veteran critically injured at Occupy Oakland Tuesday night, during a confrontation between the protesters and the police. The latest news is good: his condition has been upgraded from critical to fair and he is apparently conscious and able to respond to doctors and family members. I sincerely wish him a full recovery, and I also hope that a proper investigation is conducted to determine whether police misconduct is responsible for his injuries.

But I ran across something this evening that may add a new dimension to this story. It has been widely reported that Olsen is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War. But apparently his opposition to the U.S. military and the Marine Corps in which he served runs a little deeper.

The site is no longer live, but Olsen was the founder of IHateTheMarineCorps.com, a private user forum apparently dedicated to bashing the Marine Corps.

The U.S. dollar’s thrashing on Thursday after a last-minute European deal to contain the debt crisis may have sealed the currency’s fate.

And it is all downhill from here.

The European agreement, which involves a 50 percent write-down of Greek debt and boosting the euro zone’s bailout fund to as much as 1 trillion euros, has averted a collapse in Europe and spurred a rush to risky currencies and assets once again at the expense of the dollar.

Add in to the mix: a suddenly revitalized U.S. economy that a few weeks ago was teetering on the verge of recession and had fueled speculation about another round of quantitative easing. Almost overnight it leaves a whole new global outlook that appears a little more encouraging.

This is what happens when the Federal Reserve prints money for Countries to bail out their debt crises.  Ron Paul has said this for years and he is right —- about that anyway.  This in turn devalues our currency and causes the prices of everything to go up.  This also causes everyone to run to go Gold, which drives the prices through the roof, causing a bubble.  The problem is, when the inflation goes back down, and Gold collapses, people lose money — unless of course, they have other investments to transfer that wealthy into, so they do not lose their money.  If we could at least get control of the fed, this sort of stuff would not happen.

Another thing too, this right here ought to be the prime example of why Keynesian Economics does not work at all.  Taxing and spending a way out of recession is just not the way to do it.  Printing money out of thin air does not solve the problem; it only makes that problem worse.  It does that by devaluing the currency that is being mass printed.  I know, I am repeating myself; this is why I do not talk about the sort of stuff often, which is because I detest repeating myself repeatedly.  I figure my little blog is not going to stop the world from plunging into madness, so why bother.

Now in order for me to tell you this story the proper way, I will have to link to a homosexual advocacy blog.  Now keep in mind, this site has images on it, mostly in the sidebars that some, if not all, Christians will find to be extremely offensive; so consider this your official content warning. Having said all that, here is the story via Towleroad:

A student at Union-Scioto High School in Chillicothe, Ohio was brutally beaten this week by another student for being gay. Class members watched as the bully waited for the student to arrive in the classroom, grabbed him, pushed him to the ground and punched him in the face several times.

Another student recorded the assault on his cell phone. The video was posted to Facebook.

The bully had harassed the gay student (who has not been identified) on Facebook a few days earlier, writing, as the comment on a photo of him: “You fag. Check out the definition of a fag.”

According to an email received by Towleroad from Equality Ohio, “The victim has suffered a possible concussion and dental damage. The attacker was suspended from school for just three days. “

Sorry, but that is unacceptable; three days for what this student did to another student for being gay?  I am sorry, but as much as I find homosexuality to be a repulsive lifestyle; I find this punishment to be overly lenient.  Even if the kid was taunting the other kids or teasing them because of their homophobia — three days for that sort of a beating is a bit light.  Furthermore, I believe the student should have assault charges filed against him.

Now, let me be clear, I do not believe that there should even be hate crime laws on the books.  As I am someone who does not believe in any sort of entitlement for any special group, race, religion or creed — and yes, even sex or sexual preference.  I am libertarian-minded Conservative.  A libertarian-minded conservative who happens to believe in the right of the individual to be what he or she wants to be without fear of oppression of any sort by anyone else.  Because of this, I believe that this young man who inflected this sort of physical pain on this young man  — regardless of his sexual orientation — should prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Again, to be clear, as a Born-Again Christian — I do not support homosexuality, as my Bible condemns it in the Old Testament and in the New Testament as well.  However, in a Free Republic such as ours, the individual right of a human being is something that should not be violated. When this young man inflicted physical pain on this young man, he violated that principle; for this, he should be punished.

Furthermore, I find it quite offensive that it is being insinuated in various quarters that Christians, like myself; would advocate the sort of horrific violence against someone who partakes in this sort of sexual lifestyle.  I want to be the first, if not the only, Christian and Conservative that says that no one, who partakes in this sort of violent behavior, is a Christian.  Christians believe in praying for those who are gay, not beating them up.  Anyone who says or believes otherwise are mistaken or a complete buffoon.  Biblical rhetoric is one thing, actual physical abuse is another, and anyone who crosses that line, should be put in jail for a very long time.

A new video has surfaced showing workers at an abortion clinic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin dancing and laughing as they wait for an ambulance to pull up to take a woman to the hospital who has suffered injures from a botched abortion.

The video has employees of Affiliated Medical Services transporting the third woman this year to a local hospital following a failed abortion. The video, from Friday as abortion practitioner Bernie Smith was reportedly on duty, shows AMS staff clearly seen laughing, dancing and even doing the limbo as the woman is taken away.

One Affiliated Medical Services abortion center staffer even threatens pro-life advocates who are on hand for the 40 Days for Life event saying, “You’re lucky it isn’t you in the hospital.”

Pro-Life Wisconsin obtained the video and posted on their web site with comments in reaction to it.

“Those who lobby for abortion’s legality claim that if abortion were made illegal, women would have to resort to dirty, back-alley abortions,” PLW says. “But the reverse has actually happened — as was sadly illustrated with Kermit Gosnell’s “House of Horrors” abortuary in Philadelphia, the dirty, back-alley abortions are legal and no one is watching.”

“This is at least the third time this year an ambulance has arrived at AMS after a botched abortion; sidewalk counselors recorded two separate ambulance visits on April 8,” PLW continues. “Abortion facilities in Milwaukee are not subject to health inspections. Some days the smell of death — blood and flesh — can be smelled wafting out of AMS when the staff open the doors.”

“AMS has been the site of 40 Days for Life for three years now. Sidewalk counselors and prayer warriors are present at AMS year-round as well. 40 Days vigilers were in front of AMS when this occurred,” it concluded. “Women have been taken to Columbia St. Mary’s after botched abortions, forcing a Catholic hospital and staff to clean up the abortionist’s mess.”

I linked to Tina as a bit of a Hat Tip to her for her sharing this video; however, I feel that I should be clear, I do not agree with her views on abortion.  Tina feels that it is a federal issue and that the practice of abortion should be outlawed by the federal Government.  As much as I despise this insane practice, I must respectfully disagree with her.  I am a purebred federalist and I believe that if abortion is to be successfully outlawed, it should be challenged and outlawed on the state level and not the federal level.

However, as Tina also noted; there is no way for us to actually know what these women were laughing and dancing about, however, I must ask this — what does it say about those who are in the barbaric practice of ending human life to be seen dancing and laughing after the botched abortion?

The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter” revolution yesterday — because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.

For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.

They will also provide directions to local soup kitchens for the vagrants, criminals and other freeloaders who have been descending on Zuccotti Park in increasing numbers every day.
