Too damned little, Too damned late…..

Yeah, like they’re going to find any wrongdoing, this late in the game!

Criminal probe opened over CIA tapes (via Yahoo News)

The Justice Department opened a full criminal investigation Wednesday into the destruction of CIA interrogation videotapes, putting the politically charged probe in the hands of a mob-busting public corruption prosecutor with a reputation for being independent.

Attorney General Michael Mukasey announced that he was appointing John Durham, a federal prosecutor in Connecticut, to oversee the investigation of a case that has challenged the Bush administration’s controversial handling of terrorism suspects.

It is being reported that this guy is, and I quote, Neither “Outside” Nor “Special,” Nor “Independent. I also special note that Keith Olbermann did not accuse the guy of being just another Bush guy. Perhaps this guy is, what they say he is, an independent that will not cower down to Bush.

However, I just got this sinking feeling, in the back of my mind, that this all is going to turn up nothing. That the people involved in this case, will have covered their collective backsides to the point, where nothing will be found. I could be wrong, and I hope like hell that I am. But I am also a realist and I know, that if there has been wrong doing. Most likely, they’ve long buried the evidence.

For the sake of this Nation. I hope like hell, that I am wrong.

Updated: Fred Thompson will possibly drop out. Campaign says "Um, No."

Say goodnight Fred!

Fred Thompson may drop out (H/T Politico)

Several Republican officials close to Fred Thompson’s presidential campaign said they expect the candidate will drop out of the race within days if he finishes poorly in Thursday’s Iowa caucus.

Thompson’s campaign, which last spring and summer was generating fevered anticipation in the media and with some Republican activists, has never ignited nationally, and there are no signs of a late spark happening here in Iowa, where even a third-place finish is far from assured

Honestly? I do not see why it took him so long to do this. I mean, the guy didn’t strike when the iron was hot. He fiddled around and didn’t get his campaign started quick enough. So, I hate to say it. But the guy screwed up big time, and this is the result. A dud campaign.

The Corner says he is a Ronald Reagan Conservative. That’s laughable, as Reagan WON the election!  Hee hee

Oh well, there’s always Huckabee! Winking

It goes on to say that he’ll most likely will support McCain. That I feel, was quite the wise choice, because John McCain, is the best qualified amongst that group running for President.

Update:  Thompson’s Campaign Manager says. "Not true!" Via The Corner

Romney will Stop the Gays….

This comes via Think Progress:

Today on MSNBC’s Hardball, former senator Jim Talent, now an adviser to Mitt Romney, discussed Romney’s record on gays. Talent maintained that Romney has never been inconsistent on gay rights and has “always” wanted to stop the influence of “the militant gays”:

He’s always had the same position as to regards to the gay agenda. Look, he wants to know people to know he values gay people as people, okay? But he doesn’t want the militant gays to be able to change the cultural institutions of the country.

That is unless he’s gay himself.

I can almost hear the collective scream from the right.

“He’s not gay, he’s married!”

Neither was Larry Craig. He just had a wide stance.

The Video:

I wonder there are any gay escorts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, that could give us some juicy information? Hey, it pays to ask the question.

Liberal Blogs Readership down and Conservative Blogs Readership up.

I have a Opinion as to why this is.

Bloggasm: Readership of major liberal blogs declined in 2007 while conservative blog readership increased

It has long been understood that the largest liberal blogs have generally produced more web traffic than the largest conservative blogs. But I have noticed a general trend over the past few months that I didn’t want to write about until the end of the year. After surveying the traffic stats of many major political blogs, I found that web traffic for several major liberal blogs either declined sharply or stayed the same while major conservative blogs saw a sharp increase in traffic.

The very plain and simple reason that this is, is because people are tired of Propaganda.  Some progressive minded people do not want us to just pull out of Iraq and leave that country in total tatters. Some of us, believe that there is a real war on terror and that it is not a figment of our imagination.  While I am not a fan of Faux Noise, aka Fox News and their Republican Neo-Conservative Propaganda. I am also not a fan of DailyKos and their far lefty loon nonsense either.

People want facts, and not political agendas. Period. Plain and Simple.

On the Republican Side: Huckabee Leads over Romney.

On the other side of the political fence. The Polls show that Hackabee still has a lead of Mitt Romney.

Hackabee is at 32% and Romney is right behind at 26%.

The sick and sad part is, neither of these guys are even remotely true Conservatives. With Romney’s Flip-flopping, and Hackabee’s skeletons in his closet, his tax hikes. They’re both just Conservative in name and not in deed.

If I were voting Republican. The only person I would vote for, who I feel is even remotely qualified for the job and that is John McCain. He sits at 13%, and that my friends, is a shame, A damn shame. Sad

New Iowa Poll: Obama pulls past Hillary Clinton

New poll numbers…….

New Iowa Poll: Obama widens lead over Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has widened his lead in Iowa over Hillary Clinton and John Edwards heading into Thursday’s nominating caucuses, according to The Des Moines Register’s final Iowa Poll before the 2008 nominating contests.

Obama’s rise is the result in part of a dramatic influx of first-time caucus-goers, including a sizable bloc of political independents. Both groups prefer the Illinois senator in what has been a very competitive campaign.

With Obama at 32% and Hillary at 25%, it is quite obvious, people want change and Obama offers that.  Hillary is just a continuation of Bill Clinton. I believe people see that.

I’m not too concerned about his Religion. I could care less. This race is not about Religion, It is not about skin color, it is not about Islam vs Christianity. It is about who is the person that can lead this Country, who can steer this Country away from the idiot nonsense that the Bush Administration has created. It is about electing a President that can protect the American people, not with lies and fear mongering, like Rudy Giuliani. But rather with honesty and integrity.  Something that has not been in the White House, or in Washington D.C. entirely for the last 6 years.

Let us hope that the caucus-goers choose the right person.

I’m still around……..

Good Morning Everyone,

It has been a while since I’ve Blogged anywhere. A couple of days. It feels very strange not having my own Blog on my own Domain.

Yes, that’s correct, my personal Blog over at my old domain got hacked. I decided that after losing all that work. That I did not want to risk loosing anything else, on an server, that I could not trust to me secure enough. So, I canceled the domain and the account.

You asked, who would do such a thing? I know did it, I’m about 99.99% sure that the person who hacked me, was some idiot who had a axe to grind with me, over a Blog war, that erupted between me and another Blogger. This is was do to an "off the cuff" and distasteful remark that I made on my Blog after, a co-blogger from this Blog Here, took a swipe at me.  So, I took a swipe back, Which I apologized for, over 2 times for. I guess it wasn’t enough for them.

Who hacked me? Well, they say, they’re Conservatives, I got my own name for them. They’re thugs, Internet thugs who wave the banner of Conservatism. But in all honesty? They’re not Conservative. They’re a disgrace to the very name Conservative, They’re a bunch of Godless, Heartless, bread-dead idiot, Neo-Conservative, thugs. Thugs who have nothing else to do, but go around and hack peoples Blogs. What more can say about a bunch of fat, sweaty, college drop outs who’ll never amount to anything? But be a Blogger the rest of their lives?

Will I ever get another domain and Blog? Doubtful, unless they do quite a bit to improve security on the PHP platform and WordPress figures out a different way to store it’s information other than SQL Databases.

I am for the time being, Blogging over on Blogger.com, again. It’s just a little thing to comment on News Stories and Politics, it’s not going to be nowhere near the scope and intensity that my original Blog was. You can go see my Blog, by going here.

Happy New Year to All.

Chelsea Clinton…. A Crass B!tch, Just like Mom.

Heh. Runs in the Family.

My Way News – Chelsea Clinton Guards Her Words

It’s one thing for Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign to turn down interview requests for the candidate’s daughter, Chelsea. But can’t a 9-year-old reporter catch a break?

Sydney Rieckhoff, a Cedar Rapids fourth grader and “kid reporter” for Scholastic News, has posed questions to seven Republican and Democratic presidential hopefuls as they’ve campaigned across Iowa this year. But when she approached the 27-year-old Chelsea after a campaign event Sunday, she got a different response.

“Do you think your dad would be a good ‘first man’ in the White House?” Sydney asked, but Chelsea brushed her question aside.

“I’m sorry, I don’t talk to the press and that applies to you, unfortunately. Even though I think you’re cute,” Chelsea told the pint-sized journalist.

Charming Young Lady.

I guess I’d be crabby too, if my Mom was a closet Lesbian. (Did I say that? Surprise)

Huckabee Disses gay people…. and He wants to get elected?

Wow…

I Don’t Know’ If People Are ‘Born’ Gay, But It’s A ‘Choice’ To Act Gay

On NBC’s Meet The Press this morning, host Tim Russert asked former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee if he believed “people are born gay or choose to be gay?” “I don’t know whether people are born that way,” responded Huckabee, “but one thing I know, that the behavior one practices is a choice.”

Huckabee conceded that “people who are gay say that they’re born that way,” but added that he believed that “how we behave and how we carry out that behavior” is more important.

This is freaking crazy. You can’t get elected saying crap like this anymore. This is outright Anti-Gay Propaganda.

Here’s the Video:

If Jesus freak boy wants to be taken seriously. He’d better get off of the nonsense. Because back in the 1980’s when this Nation was still someone Conservative, you could say stuff like this, In this day and age, Not so much.

Intolerance will only get you ignored.

You’d think this idiot would know this. But then again, we are talking about Huckabee.

This is the same guy who got his kid out of trouble for killing a dog and also released a known killer.

NYT Hires Kristol, Liberals go nuts and NYT wonders why

I find stories like this quite amusing. Hee hee

Times defends hiring conservative Kristol – Michael Calderone – Politico.com

The New York Times’ hiring of Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol to write for its op-ed page caused a frenzy in the liberal blogosphere Friday night, with threats of canceling subscriptions and claims that the Gray Lady had been hijacked by neo-cons.

What is about Liberals and intolerance for free speech? I mean, do liberals feel that threatened by this person? Amazing.

The Editor of NYT agrees:

Rosenthal told Politico shortly after the official announcement Saturday that he fails to understand “this weird fear of opposing views.”

“The idea that The New York Times is giving voice to a guy who is a serious, respected conservative intellectual — and somehow that’s a bad thing,” Rosenthal added. “How intolerant is that?”

I agree. While I might not agree with all of what Kristol says or believes, I think that trying to repress someone’s views is totally wrong. Kristol has a right to speak his mind, Just like Ann Coulter, Keith Olbermann and the rest of the political talkers out there.

This sort of goes along with that theory of both Political parties being intolerant of dissent. This happens on both sides, all the time.

Edwards surges, Huckabee nosedives

McClatchy Washington Bureau | 12/30/2007 | Edwards surges, Huckabee’s bubble bursts

John Edwards has clawed his way into contention to win Iowa’s caucuses on Thursday in the first vote for the Democratic presidential nomination, gaining strength even as rivals Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have lost ground, according to a new McClatchy-MSNBC poll.

I have an idea as to why Edwards has moved up. I believe people want change. Hillary, to some, does not represent change, but rather the continuing of the Clinton Administration. I don’t think America wants to see Clinton 2.0.

However, because I am fair, America also wants a President who is honest. Edwards speaks a Populist message, all the while living in a multi-million dollar mansion. This strikes me as being hypocritical.

However, in the scheme of things, Edwards is most likely seen as the lesser of two evils.

Bhutto’s Son to Lead Party

 This is Interesting….

Bhutto’s son to lead her party – CNN.com

Benazir Bhutto’s 19-year-old son will succeed her as chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, which will take part in upcoming elections, officials announced Sunday.

Bilawal Zardari, speaking in English at a news conference, said: "I am thankful for the CEC (Central Election Commission) for imposing their trust in me as chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party."

"Like all chairmen of the PPP, I will stand as the symbol of the federation. The party’s long and historic struggle for democracy will continue with renewed vigor, and I stand committed to the stability of the federation.

"My mother always said democracy is the best revenge.

I just wonder, is he going to partake in the corruption that his Mother was so infamous for? I am amazed that the Liberal media and even some of the more Conservative media has painted this woman as some sort of martyr. Only thing good about her was that she was against terrorism. Nothing more.

The only reason she came back was because of all the problems the country was having.  I don’t see her as the martyred saint, as some do.

Huckabee hits the wall.

An Interesting story on The Politico. It asks a very interesting question.

Can Huck hang on?

Quite frankly, the short answer is, No.

Why? Because Huckabee represents the molded over, wore out, Christian coalition type of politician. The type the wants to take the United States Government and turn it unto a Theocracy. Which was not what the founding fathers of this nation had in mind, when they founded this nation of ours.

The second reason is, he made a very fatal mistake. He went after some of his critics, who were, for the most part, staples within the Republican Party. One doesn’t do this and win an election.

Thirdly, Is his past, I must admit, that I was shocked, when I read about this guys past.

It will not surprise me, if Mitt Romney blazes past this guy and he ends up dropping out of the race.
