About Me

Yours Truly.

My name is Charles Patrick Adkins. I am a former Democratic Party Voter. I am a Fundamentalist Baptist. I believe that the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking people and no, I am not interesting in arguing about it. I am a Conservative. (Not a Republican…) I am a Christian and I am a writer. I’ve blogged since 2006; first as a “Half Hearted” left of center, who had lived, worked and played in the Clinton era.  It was during this time as a “Half Hearted Left of Center” that I realized that the Democratic Party of this modern-day era was not the Democratic Party of my grandparent’s era. What they believe in and promote today is absolutely sickening; Baby Killing, Homosexuality (AKA the Sodomite Lifestyle) and hand outs to those, who’ve never worked a day in their lives. Not to mention, if modern-day Democrats had their, we would not have a gun in this Country.

I grew up in Detroit in the 1980’s, during the era of President Ronald Reagan. He saved this Country after another disastrous President, Jimmy Carter left office with the Nation in a heap; it seems now that history is repeating itself.

This is my personal story:

I came into this World, kicking, screaming, and saying stuff like, “Eek!  I’m naked!” and “Get me something to cover me, its cold in here!’ on June 28, 1972.  I was raised in Detroit on the Southwest Side.  I lived in Detroit from 1972 until 1989.  I lived a rather protected existence, which means, in some people’s eyes, my Mother was very strict on me.  In other people eyes, my Mother raised me right.  In my eyes, I am quite grateful.  The family moved the suburbs in 1989; I will not lie to you.  It is nicer out here.  For most of my young life, I went to Christian Schools. I did, however, attend a public school for a very short time. Long enough to figure out, that I did not belong in them.

I will be the first to tell you, that Christian Schools are not perfect at all.  Most of them are on an agenda and that is to send the student to Christian College and train them for service in the Lord.  I will not lie to you.  I was decent student, except in Math. I do have Attention Deficit Disorder. I take medication for it. I did not graduate from High School. I left in the 11 grade; I just could not go any further. I simply burned out. I tried homeschooling, but in the middle of that; I moved and turned 18 and decided that was not interested in continuing in that school any longer. Therefore, I quit and got a job.

This is the house that I called Home; for 19 years of my life. It's changed a bit. But overall, it looks like it did back in 1989, when I moved away. My bedroom was top left.

I tried night school and I did that off and on.  However, my math skills was terrible and at that time in my young life —  I just did not have any patience.  When I say, terrible in Math, I mean, I can plus and minus with the best of them.  However, when they start talking Multiplication and Division, I start saying stuff like, “get the calculator!”  I just never could grasp that whole this times this, equals this or the whole this divided by this equals this business.  It has something to do with the brain; and I have never fully grasped it.  I do not quote fully understand why I am made this way; I just know that I am.

THE CHURCH STUFF

Yes, I am a Christian.  You can read all about there here.  I tend to like to play my cards close to my vest on this subject. You can read about some of that here —- but Believe me, that does not tell the half of it.  Everything you really need to know about this subject is on that page.  To be very brief, I have been through a lot, I spent a good deal of my life in the “Church World” and lived to tell about it.  I am still recovering from some of it and I still have a problem with some of it.  However, I have no regrets about the path I took.  I just wish I had not taken any of it for granted and wish I had listened to the Lord, when I should have.  I could have avoided much of my problems.

THE BLOG STUFF

I started blog back in 2006 as a “historic populist.” Alternatively, as I like to call it — a half-hearted left of center.  Over time and over the course of the 2008 election cycle, which actually started in 2007 —- I just came to realize that the Democratic Party of my grandparent’s era and my parent’s era was not the same party of today.  Much had changed and the Democrat Party had drifted from the Populist Party or Party of the people and had become a party overrun with Marxism, and was nothing more of a hotbed of Anti-American idiotic nonsense.  The breaking point with me was the long, drawn out battle between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.  I just could not believe that the Democrats were going to attempt to divide the party between two entitlement classes.  Finally, I just decided enough was enough and started rethinking politics a bit.

On December 28, 2007, my blog was hacked and I started over with Political Byline a few days after Christmas.  Originally, this was just going to be a news blog, with a centrist slant.  However, over the course of a few months, I really began to see the ugly of the Democratic Party and decided that I could never vote Democratic Party ever again.  I feel that way now, more than ever.  I just know their game and I will never waste vote like that again.

However, there was a point, in the beginning; when Barack Obama first came to forefront, when I possibly thought of voting for him. Then, this came out:

Then, I saw this, from a few days after 9/11:

I’m sorry, but even within the scope of “proper context,” this is nothing more than Anti-American bile; and the now current President, sat under this crap, every Sunday. 🙄 😡

That, was the very moment that I made a very “Adult” decision and that was; that the Democratic Party was not my party any longer. I could not help but think, “How in the name of God, could any man sit in a Church anywhere and listen to Anti-American bile like that?!??!” I was, and still am not, by any means, A Bush lover. But this, was just wrong. Because of this; and a litany of other reasons, is why I no longer vote Democrat.

Thus, in the 2008 election for President of the United States, I voted for the Libertarian Party’s candidate for President Bob Barr.

In the 2010 election, I voted a straight Republican Party ticket for the first time in my life. 😮

How I vote in the coming 2012 election depends on who the Republican Party chooses. I hope they chose wisely this time.

Anyhow, that is what you need to know about lil’ ol me!
