UPDATED: The Classless Left: Exhibit D for Desperation – Liberal Bloggers say the idea is stupid

These people are so damned desperate, it is almost laughable:

Last summer, Democrats argued that the Tea Party movement was the astroturf creation of corporate groups. Now that the grass-roots conservative resurgence has emerged as a clear force on the right, the left is making a different case: That tea parties are simply the enemy.

Stay Classy Liberals! (yeah right....)

To that end, the Agenda Project, a new, progressive group with roots in New York’s fundraising scene and a goal of strengthening the progressive movement, has launched the “F.*.c.k. Tea project,” which is aimed, the group’s founder Erica Payne wrote in an e-mail this morning, “to dismiss the Tea Party and promote the progressive cause.”

“”We will be launching new products in the next several months to help people all over the country F*ck Tea,” Payne told POLITICO. “Products like a Glenn Beck Bowl Buddy (Beck B Scrubbin) and others are perfect holiday gifts or just a great way to say, ‘I love you and our country’ to your spouse, friend or family.”

Payne, a veteran consultant to progressive groups, is a co-founder of the Democracy Alliance, the low-profile group of liberal mega-donors who helped build the Center for American Progress and other new organizations that grew in the Bush years.

The new project, so far, features merchandise, polling statistics aimed to paint Tea Party members as ignorant, and a mocking video.

Update: Here is their little classless video. Complete with an cute little “F You” Song…. (NSFW!) (H/T to Wake Up America)

Ah yes, what a way to show class and diversity, than to market a t-shirt the basically slams, mocks and says “FUCK YOU!” to the good majority of America. WOW. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ฎย  The chutzpah there is outstanding. What these mental midgets seem to forget is that Conservatives, “Right of Center’s” and classic liberals, like me; are in fact, Americans too — and when you say, “FUCK YOU!” to people like me, you alienate people — like me.

Having said that, it’s time to fight fire…..with fire:

Update #2: At least one liberal blogger, so far, is saying that this is a very stupid idea. Mark your calendars, because this is the first time that I am going to say this — KUDOS TO HIM FOR SAYING IT! ๐Ÿ˜€ย  ๐Ÿ˜‰ Also Kudos to Gawker as well.

Update #3: Now the top story on Memerandum

Update #4: William Teach says:

But, hey, imagine a Conservative group had come up with โ€œf*ck progressives.โ€ The Left would have howled like werewolves on crack. For conservatives, weโ€™ll simply just highlight these wankers, and move on with our lives.

Ha! Uh, Dude? ๐Ÿ˜› I tried leaving a comment at his blog, but they disappeared. Oh well, I tried. ๐Ÿ˜€

  1. Love it! Got to get me 1 or 10. Glad you posted this on Ace of Spades. Good showing. Good luck in this endeavor, and thank you.

  2. As to the concept that the majority of Americans are Tea Party members, nobody has an absolute number. From my contacts with friends, family and co-workers, it is fair to say that most Americans are not happy with some or all of their local/state/federal government representatives. I would go further and say that most Americans do not like or trust the MSM. Witness their declining viewers and paying subscribers. It is also safe to say that blogs & talk radio are a growing medium, much to the consternation of ABC,CBS,NBC & CNN etc. The Tea Party members and the people who support the concept are quite active in some form or another. Additionally, there is a growing discontent which feeds the anti-incumbent crowd and will likely result in the unemployment of many established/career politicians this November.

  3. The F*ck tea shirts are ridiculous. So are you shirts. This type of wing nut hatred only serves to alienate the reasonable people in the country.

I general the right out crazies the left by a far margin. I may not vote Democratic but will never vote Republican, you people are too dogmatic for my tastes.

    Signed an Independent

      1. Quite honestly people like you and the Agenda Project are whats wrong with this country. Too much hate.

Where is the tolerance of others views? Where is the crossing the aisle to get things accomplished for the people?

I have seriously just about given up on politics in this country. I don’t know if Evan Bayh was genuine about his reasons for leaving congress, but if he was it’s scary. “too much narrow ideology and not enough practical problem solving”.

        That’s where I am at.

        1. Because I could just say, go start your own damned blog, if you don’t like I say.

….or I could ask, why the fuck are you even here?

          But I won’t…..yet

              1. I’m left wondering just who’s point has been proven…the “tolerant” beermans, or Patricks? I think I know which way I’m leaning…
Not my style, but I’m posting it on my blog anyway. Maybe my one or two regular readers will get one.

  4. BOTH of the two major parties have their dogmatic elements; I’ll hold my nose and take the Republican dogma this time around over the anti-American, out-of-control-spending, pass-the-bills-over-the-will-of-the-people Democratic Congress, and rule-by-fiat-while-on-the-golf-course-Democratic President we are stuck with now.

    1. Anti-American? I don’t think so. Although I disagree with Obama on quite a few things, I still like the man.

When Bush was constantly on vacation and/or on the golf course I didn’t care; I wanted him to be fresh and relaxed before deciding which country to invade next. These guys are under a lot of stress.

When Bush was in power there were of course extreme elements of the left that I found repugnant. I think it came a lot quicker and harder with Obama. Sorry but I think there is quite a bit of racism embedded there and the media right is fanning the flames..

Also Bush grew gov’t and created a huge deficit and I didn’t hear anyone on the right complaining then. I was then and I am now. This is all political posturing on the right and disingenuous. I certainly agree that Obama is spending way too much and this does need to end, he is only making what Bush started much worse.

Such great theater. Anyway how do I get off this mail list?

      1. I don’t even see where you are on any list here. I check the “subscribe to comments” list and you ain’t there.

Anyhow, you’re entitled to your opinion. But as for the mailing list thing, I have zero clue what you’re referring to.
