Police State: Seattle deputy shoves an innocent man into wall, causing a coma.

First the raw video from the AP:

The Backstory:

SEATTLE — Authorities have released surveillance video showing a burly sheriff’s deputy slamming a man head first into a wall earlier this month, leaving him in a coma.

Christopher Harris remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center, his family says. The 29-year-old had been pursued by deputies May 10 after a witness wrongly identified him as a suspect in an assault.

Sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart (URK’-hart), who released the video Thursday, says Deputy Matthew Paul did not violate policy in tackling Harris. He says Harris was trying to get away, and calls the injury “a tragic accident.”

A Harris family lawyer says the video and witness accounts show he was a victim of excessive force.

I do not know about you. But this seems to be getting to be a pretty common occurrence here as of late.

Police State?

You decide.

  1. He was a victim of a PIG sheriff who totally violated his oath of office. These bastards can justify anything. This thug disguised as a sheriff deputy most likely grew up on violent video games and swat team movies. The whole spirit of law enforcement has morphed into a twisted sick and demented process under the color of law and it is only going to get worse. The justus system and so called law makers are out of control.

  2. That freakin PIG should be SHOT ON SITE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH OF THESE SORRY EXCUSES FOR HUMAN LIFE GETTINMG AWAY WITH EVERYTHING INCLUDING MURDER. They ALWAYS have a freakin’ excuse. Shoot every freakin’ cop that gets caught on tape and quit keeping them above the law. SORRY PIGS. They laugh now, but one day soon, they will get their JUST DESERVES. Burn in Hell PIGS

  3. Gents, Mistakes do happen. I am not deleting your comments. But let’s keep in mind, that police officers are humans too and mistakes DO happen.

  4. I’ve seen quite a few of accidental shootings by police, but never a citizen accidentally shoot a police officer, fact is they are above the law.

  5. As long as police have a licence to kill anyone and everyone they wish to, this kind of depraved, egregious conduct will continue. It would be appropriate in this case to immediately fire the officer and investigate the police chief who hasn’t bothered to make sure his officers are properly trained as professionals. Secondly this young man must get the best medical care possible paid for by the state, thirdly the family must sue the witness with the false identification who set the whole thinf rolling to begin with and finally the police department should be sued for every cent in their police pension fund. That is the only way these things will stop, when it hurts the evil men who do them.

  6. That was not a mistake, he came full force from a running position and slammed that guy. The pig just ruined an innocent mans life. He should rot in prison.

  7. If you think this is bad, just wait for more Obama policies, we are headed for a Totalitarian government, because you did not elect Don Cordell as your president last November.

When are you going to demand our Bill of Rights and Constitution be restored?

  8. Matthew Paul deserves to be in prison. Period. It’s where any of us would be if we did the same thing. The fact that he is a police officer does not make it better, it makes it much worse. And he should get a longer, harsher sentence than a citizen would because he is a cop, and therefore his is a greater crime with greater repercussions for society.

Some people may think it’s violent or wrong of me to say this, but if it were my son in a coma, Deputy Paul would be dead. And I would consider going after Sgt. John Urquhart as well. That’s how angry and vengeful I would feel after seeing my son’s life destroyed, after being betrayed by the justice system which will not prosecute this criminal cop, and after having the added insult of a corrupt police department saying it was justified, within the law, “an accident.” I would demand blood at this point if it were my son. I really don’t understand how any parent could control their anger or not hunt down the evil man who did this.

We live in a very screwed up nation right now. This incident is just one more chip off my loyalty and respect towards my own nation and the caricature of the government we’re supposed to have under the Constitution.
