Going Forward: The Future of PoliticalByline.com

This is a posting, which I have been meaning to write for a very long time; I just needed the right moment and the excuse to write it. As I wrote here earlier this week, President Barack Obama announced that American Military forces would be leaving the Country of Iraq at the end of 2011; which would essentially end the Country’s Military presence in the Nation of Iraq.

My foray into the world of politics started in 2006, as I wrote here after being stabbed royally in the back, by a Baptist pastor, who saw me either as very gullible or as just some sort of cheap laborer. What happened was this, this person, who honestly has no business being a Pastor, much less anything else in a Church; called me on my cell phone, which I owned at the time and accused me of some rather idiotic things. Now, my Bible tells me the following in Matthew Chapter 18, Verses 15-17:

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
(Matthew 18:15-17 KJV)

For the record, I happen to be one of those narrow-minded people who happen to believe that the Bible should be taken literally. I do not consider calling me on my cell phone to be a form of “Going and Telling.” Neither would anyone else, who has any semblance of a brain. The real ironic part was, that the accusations made against me, were very bogus. The first time this man called me on my cell phone was to accuse me of talking out of turn during a Church Service. Now folks, I have been a born-again Christian for 29 years; 21 of them were in Pentecostal Churches. I was, admittedly, one of the more Conservative Pentecostals out there. I never, ever, spoke out of turn in a Church service ever and even though I was saved a Baptist at the age of nine years old, I tended not do anything out of ordinary at any Church services, especially when returning to the Baptist Faith. I figured those people would be on alert for someone like me, who had fled Pentecostalism, to try doing something to disrupt the service, which I would never actually do, in a million years.

The second time that this man accused me of doing something, and on top of that, did not follow Biblical doctrine was when he actually had the gall to accuse me of getting on the internet and looking up private information about “his Church.” (His words, not mine.) This was a bald-faced lie, that was told to him either by his song director, who had a bit of a problem with me, because I objected to his singing of a song called “Majesty, We Worship your Majesty” during services. This is because this song was written by a man named Jack Hayford, of whose theology is about as far from Baptist theology as one can get. This man’s reply was, “Well, I like it.” Sorry, that does not cut it with me and I told him so. I happen to be a Baptist who happens to believe in separation from people who believe in such apostate theology and that includes not singing their songs. It also could have been told to him by his son, who might have overheard from someone else.

The truth is this; I happened to look up that Churches listing on Michigan’s “corporate entity lookup” website. At that time, I had noticed that they were very much behind in their filings and stood a chance to lose their corporate status. I simply informed the treasurer at the time and she told me she would pass it on. From this simple act of kindness, came these idiotic allegations against me. To add insult to injury, this man; as so-called Pastor did not have the nerve to confront me face to face, like the Bible says that you are supposed to do. Instead, he called me on a cell phone, after I and one other man, worked for like 6 weeks straight on his Pastoral office remodeling it and, after I left early on a Saturday, because of a horrible backache from helping this man remodel his office. Of which I, for what it is worth, never received a dime for my labor. I was doing it, because I felt that I should try to serve the Lord, instead, I was serving a hireling, who truly cared more about his rather large ego, which matches his rather large belly and derriere — not to mention that ten-gallon hat that makes him look like a reject from the Beverly Hillbillies. In fact, the only thing that I ever asked for from anyone at the Church, when I was working on the office, was a simple meal, because I do have low blood sugar and do get a case of the shakes, when I do not eat. (Update – November 18, 2015: In 2014, after I wrote this, I was diagnosed with type II diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I also have other problems, mentioned on my new blog.)

Now you might ask:

Okay, that is all fine, but what about the blog?

Now that I have explained to you all why I ended up in the realm of political writing, let me explain what I plan on doing from here on out. I have this domain registered until July 7, 2012. To be quite honest with you all, if this domain were to expire tomorrow, I would not renew it. This need for this blog and my presence in the political blogosphere, as far as I am much concerned, are over. I never had a desire to be a pundit or even a political writer at all. All I ever really wanted was a place to vent my frustrations at the Government that was in power back in 2006. However, that Government left office in 2008 and a new President took office. I did not like the man or his polices of “Hope and Change,” which were utopian at best. For a time, I did the “right wing echo chamber” routine for a while. However, after a while, I felt like I was writing from a partisan stance. Honestly, folks, I am not a partisan person at all. In fact, I find most of the partisan political bickering between these two parties to be idiotic at best. The nonpartisan truth is this; that BOTH of these parties screwed the housing market into the ground, which caused our economy to crash. To be clear, the Democrats did pass the housing bills and the subprime clause, but the Republicans did rip out a good deal of regulation, which could have either stopped or at least slowed down some of the housing market crash. In addition, both of these parties were overrun by globalists who were more interested in making a quick dime, at the expense of the American worker — union or non-union. The thing that infuriates me to no end is how BOTH parties insist on pointing the finger at each other, instead of trying to fix the problem that they both created.

So, now for the question that I have needed to write, since I started this rather long blathering on blog posting:

Where do I go from here?

To be quite honest with you, I have absolutely no idea. Part of me, wants to stay with it, fight on until 2012 is over and then walk away. Part of me wants to just stop now, call it a good run, and move on. I just really do not know what I want to do, at this point. From a business standpoint, this venture was an abysmal failure. The most I have never made from this blog, outside of donations, which I have never received anything over the occasional $50 donation, is about $100 or so, which usually comes about every other month, from AdSense revenue. The funny part is that the AdSense revenue just started here about three or so years ago. I also have made a little (and I mean VERY little!) from Infolinks, which are the in-text ads that everyone finds to be so annoying. The problem is that right now, because I have not been writing much at all, revenue is down a bit, and as a result, I am most likely going to have to hit my parents up for some cash for the refills in my medication for A.D.H.D., as I do not have any health insurance at all. (Update 2015: I do now, I am on state Medicaid here in Michigan.) I mean, I do have the donate button, but I feel weird asking for any sort of donations. I am also not about to try to go on any sort of Government assistance, that would be the epitome of hypocrisy in my opinion. There is a blogger who is a Conservative, who is getting money from the Government, to live on, and I just personally do not understand his reasoning on how he can blog from a Conservative standpoint and get money from the Government. I could never do that at all. I will not reveal his identity, but I will say that I do link to the blog that he writes at quite a bit.

The reason this blog is a failure is this; the neo-cons hate me, because I was on the left at one point, and because they believe I am a racist and/or an Anti-Semite. The Paleo-Con/Ron Paul/Libertarian crowd hates me because they think I am a Neo-Con or worse. The racists hate me, because I do not buy into their idiot ideology. The secular crowd hates me, because I am Christian, or at least try to do that as best I can. The right-wing blogosphere hates me, because I once took on one of their darlings and posted outdated personal information about her, because I happened to believe she was being a bit of a jerk. They also hate me because I inadvertently insulted a blogger’s dead wife, after I was attacked. All those things, added up, is really why this blog never went anywhere. It is why I am not the darling of the blogosphere. In fact, I can say confidently that I am the biggest pariah in the Blogosphere, ever. There is no one else as reviled as I am.

So, what happens now?

Well, I will post about politics, when I feel that a news item is worthy of my comment; I will give my take on the Republicans that are running, although to be quite honest. None of them really does anything for me. Herman Cain is decent, however, the rest are just well paid politicians. I will post funny videos, when I find any. However, my days of posting anything and everything for the hits, is over. When it comes to renew my domain, I will most likely keep the domain, as long as I can afford it. Just for the simple fact that I would like to keep my six years of work online…somewhere. Even if it would be for some of my detractors to link to me; you know, “Remember that idiot up in Michigan, who was half crazy and thought he was a Conservative?!?!?!” I have to keep it for them at least. Not as if anyone else would honestly care, I believe.

Therefore, onward we go, steady now.
