UPDATED: The coming 2012 battle?

The video is over at Real Clear Politics. (H/T Drudge)

Quotable Quote:

“We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war,” Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said to a heavily union crowd.

I got a bad feeling about this coming 2012 election. It’s going to get ugly on both sides, I am afraid.

  1. Hoffa’s speech was a despicable and divisive action that provided unneccessary provacation. If a war is what Socialist-Democrats want, they will get it. If this is the “war” that the left wants to wage, the right is ready, willing, and able to fight back. We proved that in 2010 and will do so on a much grander scae in 2012.

President Obama can either step in and set the right tone and tone down his fellow liberals and thuggish union minions, or he can take the blame for the political war that will ensue. Several months ago he spoke of using words that heal rather than words that hurt and divide. Does that apply only to Republicans? Or does it apply to Americans? And if it does apply to Americans, should I assume by his silence regarding Hoffa’s statements means that Hoffa and his folowers are un-American?

Whatever the answer, we all know the question.

That is all fine; I just hope like hell the “war” as you call it, remains one of words and nothing else. We’ve had to deal one loose nut this year shooting someone, we don’t need another.
