A Religion of Peace?

In a so-called Religion of Peace, I would not expect to see this: (Thanks Debbie)

or This: (thanks to “Silent Majority No More!“)

Some peace eh? 🙄

However, I do kind see Megan’s point. This is why I tend to not try and monday morning quarterback that Situation over there.
I just hope the US stays out of it. We’ve got enough on our plate, let Israel deal with thier own, Please.

  1. I don’t know what to say other than my goal for these Peoples is peace. Then again that may be in conflict with their vision. I don’t think it’s quarterbacking for me to state that in order for two separate Peoples to have peace they must work together through compromise. My lessons in history have been biased (I admit I’ve learned the American perspective), however I have also observed during my life Israel say “take this piece” and I have observed Palestine respond with “No, we only want the whole thing and we want it all without sharing”. I must also add that I have observed brief moments of progress over the years.

Again I sincerely believe that ‘all history’ risks bias so all facts need to be verified, and locating verification without bias is a daunting task at best.

I believe these current events are important, and the sway of public opinion is important.

On that point I believe that just because a majority (or a minority for that matter) “feels” one way or another does not make the opinion right. But ignorance believes in mass, so one must be respectful of the power of mass in a free society.

It IS an absolute truth that wisdom is not determined by the masses. There can be one wise man in the troughs of a million idiots. It doesn’t make the mass correct. But that’s getting to the heart of the difference between a Republic and a Democracy, and that again is an entirely other subject.
